Kaattiiee's Random Stories

Hi world

This is the thread where I'm just going to post whatever pours out of my head.
I might start a story then move on to a new one and then continue again later.
When I fill a post then I will quote the last sentance so you know which story is which.
I will also color code if it's neccesary.

Anyways, constructive critisism is appreciated but things like spelling mistakes or grammar I can always fix later when I notice it. :P

Enjoy my thoughts!

She stared out the classroom window, watching the birds fly by. She truly wished she could fly with those birds, escape from this prison.
“Shay?” she was torn from her fantasy.
“Shay, I asked you, what is the capitol of New Hampshire?” it was the teacher, Mrs. Haskins.
“New Hampshire?” Shay asked. She searched her brain for the answer, “Um…Concord?” Mrs. Haskins glared at her then said, “Yes Miss Corley, Concord is correct, but in the future, please do not day-dream in my class.” She glared for a few more seconds then targeted someone else, “What is the capitol of Texas?”
Mrs. Haskins hated Shay, and Shay hated Mrs. Haskins. From the very first day of school. Shay looked out the window again and a bird was sitting on a branch of a tree that reached up to the second floor of the school. Shay smiled slightly. It flapped its wings a couple of times then flew away. Oh how she wished she could do the same. The bell rang and everyone in the class gathered up their belongings quickly, eager to get away. Shay was the first one out of the room.
“Shay!” someone called, “Shay Corley!” It was Kayla, Shay’ best friend. Shay turned around and saw Kayla walking quickly towards her, trying to catch up. “Hi Kayla,” Shay said, tucking her black hair behind her ear.
“You’ll never guess what happened!” Kayla squeaked excitedly.
“What?” Shay asked, knowing it was probably something about –
“Jake Desmond and Lauren Smith are no longer a couple!” she smiled hugely.
“That’s…great Kay,” Shay said being slightly sarcastic.
“I know right?” Kayla said, “Now all I have to do is talk to him!” Someone tapped her on the shoulder and she spun around, her strawberry blonde hair twirling. “Hey Adam!” she said to the person. Adam had been their third amigo ever since kindergarten. The classic trio. But ever since freshman year, Adam had been hanging out with his guy friends more and more.
“What’s up Kayla, Shay, what are you two gossiping about today? Wait, let me guess—.”
“Jake and Lauren, yes you were right,” Shay interrupted. Adam laughed a little.
“Actually I was going to say all of the disappearances, but Jake was my second guess.” Shay put her hands on her hips, probably because someone knew something she didn’t.
“Yeah!” Adam said, “Gone without a trace, it was on the news this morning. All of them happened in the town next to ours.”
“How many?” Shay asked a little curious now.
“Three so far, all of the young…like our age, and there are sure to be more of them before the police catch the kidnapper.”
Another bell rang and they had to rush to their next class.
Shay was the last one to enter her writing class. This was one of her worst subjects, but the work was really easy and Shay maintained a good B-. She had claimed a seat by the window in the beginning of the year, and that is where she sat as the teacher watched her disappointedly for being late, and then started the lesson.
Shay stared out the window, and a bird flew over and landed on the windowsill.
It was the same bird as before! She looked closer, in more detail. Yes, definitely the same bird. It was a golden yellow color with black markings on its head and wings. The bird fluttered away and Shay attempted to focus on class.
After that was over, so was school for the day. Shay went to her locker and grabbed her light jacket. Today she had walked to school, although she doubted her decision now, after learning about the disappearances. Autumn was her favorite season because of all the beautiful colors. Shay stepped outside and started to walk home.
The way was very quiet. Only people that lived down there hardly ever drove on the road.
