Wars Aren't Fair

The pounding on the door made my little sister scream and my mother had to protect us somehow but she had sorrow in her eyes like the world was going to end. The Nazis yelled and kept banging on the door and finally the door busted open. Once they saw my dear mother, they kept beating her up and then finally they dragged her out the door. This other man in a green uniform grabbed my sister and I by the the hair and once my sister screamed again, they knocked her out. I wasn't even sure if my mother was alive anymore. We were thrown into a truck like animals being sent away to a slaughter house. I was really scared and my dad was probably in worse condition being sent out fighting for our country. I couldn't believe this was all happening so fast. We were then sent to a death camp and were forced to have numbers on our arm that hurt really bad that I cried a little. Then we had to do all these chores everyday like slaves. I was twelve years old when this happened to me and I was very lucky to survive this crazy nonsense. The next day we were forced to go and stand into a straight line. I didn't know why but then they just started to pick random people. Some of them I knew but they looked petrified. Then they tapped my sister's shoulder and I panicked. After they picked the people in the line, they told them to come with them but I heard that they had to take off their clothes. I thought that it was just shower time. I didn't no though they chose my sister... Days past and I couldn't find my dearest mother and my sister never returned. I was all alone. I figured that they were killed somehow. We then had to pack our things and go into this train and be sent to this camp that they said was called Auschwitz. I never herd of it before but then I heard so much shooting and the trip took so long that I didn't feel very good. Some people died with diseases, cold, or food. Then the doors opened and the Nazi's found a lot of dead bodies. I really thought I was going to be one of them. I wish I was once I found out that we had to do some more chores and it was very painful. I had lice and I thought I couldn't go anymore.... Then a miracle happened that should of happened a long time ago. American Soldiers arrived and told us that we were free to go and gave us passes for food. We went to the closest market we could find and I ate a lot. Some more people died of diarrhea. I was sent to a hospital which I am right now writing this story to people all over the world and telling them to remember me....

This story I wrote reminds us of the holocaust and should never be forgotten. I just made up the girl and her mother and sister but otherwise all the other horrible stuff that happened was true. Remember this story and you'll know how fortunate you are to be living on this very day.

Thank You.
