Ok, I'm writing this random story, where the main guy is named Vasu and the main girl is named Morana, well they grew up as kids but after the day of Morana's sister's death Morana distanced herself from him. Vasu loves Morana but hates that she can't see it. Morana thinks she is in love with a guy named Silvius.

what I want to know, is what do you all think would be bad enough for Silvius to do to show his true colors and make Morana see that she loved Vasu the whole time?

Let's see: Does Silvius have a romantic interest in any other character in the story? Because if he cheated or began ignoring Morana for someone else, she'd probably get the picture.

It might even be interesting to have Silvius mirror the whole relationship: Morana left Vasu for Silvius, only to see Silvius leave Morana for someone else.

I thought about that, but Morana had met Silvius on the night when her roomate Venus dragged her out to a club but she cut out early. I was thinking that, since Silvius describes his room mate as a huge player, that he is in fact the real player but I don't think taht would be dramatic enough

Maybe Silvius betrays Morana's trust about something big. Or he could embarrass her in front of alot of people and Vasu is there to comfort her. It could also be the time when Morana realizes Vasu true feelings for her

That kinda does help, thank you.What if I made silvius the one who killed Morana's sister and tried to only to be stoped by Vasu and her father. Morana would end up running since fear would overtake her and since Vasu wouldn't want her alone he would follow

Creepy - I was so going to suggest him having some sort of hand in her sisters death, read through the posts, and you said it! I personally think that would be a very interesting idea to explore.

The question with this would be, if you DID have him responsible for her sisters death, would it be some sort of planned thing, or he was drunk, or a hit and run thing...

I think it would be interesting to make his character a little psychotic, if you explored that whole "responsible for her sister's death" idea. Maybe he was with her sister first, something happened that he didn't like, and that's why she was dead.

The idea itself seems very generic though, I think you might want to develop the plot a bit more to help yourself. Right now without any of that it's just a "boy and girl are best friends, new boy comes into picture and takes girl, best friend boy is sad because he loves girl, oh wait, best friend girl loves best friend boy now too." And in order for that sort of thing to be interesting, it needs a lot of juicy detail in between.
