Forget about Christmas in July (3 chapters posted)
 

(I wrote this last summer and now im using it for a contest, so I thought to post it here and see what you think.....I have several chapters and if people like the first one I'll post the next ones. ^_^)

This is the story of a girl, Virginia; she has a few friends, does well in school and has a good life at home. She lives in the town of Seattle, Washington. It's always cloudy there, it doesn't always rain, but always cloudy. Her life has been changing quite a bit since she met him. His name was Micheal. All the girls in school loved him the minute they saw him. Virginia was different she didn't really care how cute he was, she thought "If all the popular girls like him, chances are he is a stuck up ass." She would say that to her friend Eliza every time she brought Micheal up. Eliza said that whenever Micheal passed by he would always look at Virginia. Virginia didn't believe her, Eliza was head-over-heels in love with Micheal. So anything to do with Micheal Eliza knew. She was quite obsessed.
On June 21st Eliza was going to have her 16th birthday party. She invited everyone (and I mean everyone). She invited all the guys from all her classes all the girls that weren't evil bitches. She made a special invitation for Micheal. It had glitter on it and the lettering was cursive and fancy because Eliza wanted him to feel extra special. Eliza went to Virginia's house on the 17th to give Virginia half of the invitations. Virginia's cat doesn't like Eliza so as soon as she stepped into Virginia's house the cat bit her. Eliza cringed. Eliza said "Virginia I'd love to stay and gossip but I can’t, I have some last minute party things to do..." Virginia knew it was just an excuse to go home, Eliza hated Virginia's cat and everyone knew it.

Virginia helped pass the invitations out, she had handed out all of them, but one. She didn't want to give Micheal's invitation to him. So she tried to find Eliza so she could give Micheal his invitation. She couldn't find Eliza before the late bell for first period. So she went to class and Eliza's seat was empty. Normally, if Eliza was going to skip class she would ask Virginia to come with, and if she had gone to the nurse Eliza would have the nurse call Virginia down to the office so Eliza would have someone to talk to until her mom came and picked her up. The nurse was Eliza's aunt, incase you wondering why she got such special treatment. But, she heard nothing from Eliza during first period.
The bell rang for the end of first period so Virginia decided to go and check the Nurses office.
"Hello, Mrs. Spence nice to see you today."
"Hello Virginia."
"By any chance have you seen Eliza today?"
"Why no I haven't, is something wrong?"

She didn't want to worry Mrs. Spence so she said, "No, nothing is wrong. But if you see her can you tell her to call my cell?" But Virginia said it too quickly so Mrs. Spence looked nervously at Virginia and then nodded. "Thanks, Bye" With that Virginia went on searching for Eliza before second period started. Virginia went to her locker quickly to get her books for second and third period. She didn't find her. She searched for her between classes and still no sign of her. It was lunch time; she went to lunch and after got her books for the next three periods of the day, so she would have more time to search for Eliza. At the end of 7th period she went back to her locker very worried about her best friend. She put her other books away and took out her back-pack since she didn't need any books for the next period. Then, she slammed her locker and turned around there was Micheal looking at her smiling. Micheal waved his hand and the girls behind him sighed and walked away because they knew he wanted some alone time with Virginia. He spotted the invitation in Virginia’s hand and asked "Is that for me?" She looked at it and answered,
"No, it’s for another guy..."
"Then why does it say my name on it."
"It's for another Micheal, I can't find him"
"There isn't another Micheal in this school."
"I’m sure there is, you just haven't met them yet because your always pre-occupied by the sluts that hang around you."
"Harsh. I should be offended but, I’m not, they choose to follow me, I ignore them....most of the time."
"Ew.Avoiding the other part of my answer aren't you?"
"No, you just didn't give me a chance to answer it, you’re a little impatient. My mother checked to see if there was any other Micheals in this school before she transferred me here. And not one showed up. So that invitation is for me...”
He finished his little rant and smiled. Virginia just shuddered. She hated when the people she hated were right. Then Micheal took the invitation. "I wanted Eliza to give that to you because she likes you alot and I really don't care about you at all. But, she disappeared and you showed up just as I was about to look for her again." Then out of nowhere Micheal kissed Virginia, she was shocked and a little happy at the same time. She secretly liked him, but didn't want to ruin Eliza's life. She started to kiss him back and then Eliza walked into the hallway from the entrance of the building. Her mouth dropped and the entire hallway went silent. Virginia realized this and stopped kissing him. She looked at Eliza and tried to explain but Eliza just screamed at her
"YOU’RE NOT MY FRIEND ANYMORE!! HOW COULD YOU DO THAT TO ME!!!?? I THOUGHT YOU DIDN'T LIKE HIM!!!!!!! AND YET YOUR HERE KISSING HIM WHILE I WAS TRYING ON MY DRESS FOR MY PARTY AND I COME TO GET MY ASSINMENTS FROM THE DAY AND I SEE THIS!!!!!!
"Eliza I didn't kiss him, he kissed me...."
"I DON'T WANT TO HEAR YOUR EXCUSES YOU ARE UN-INVITED TO MY PARTY AND YOU TO MICHEAL!!! YOU BOTH CAN KISS MY ASS!"
"She is telling the truth Eliza, I kissed her because I thought that was what she wanted." Micheal tried to help Virginia explain. "I DON'T CARE YOU BOTH CAN JUST........WELL I DON'T KNOW, BUT I DON'T WANT YOU TWO ANYWHERE NEAR ME EVER AGAIN!!BY THE WAY BITCH I DIDN'T CALL YOU BECAUSE MY PHONE DIED YOU SELFISH IRROGANT-"
"Okay Eliza, Im not going to fight anymore, if you change your mind you no where to find me."

Eliza was tempted to grab Virginia by the shirt and just rip her apart but, she knew right now would not be the place to get angry.

Virginia walked away and Micheal followed a few feet behind. "Why did you have to kiss me?" She asked Micheal when they were out of hearing distance of Eliza. "Because you’re the one girl who isn't obsessed over me and personally I find that amazing and I want to find out all the other charming details about you" Virginia blushed slightly and looked at him. "I like you a little bit, but I wanted Eliza to be happy, I wanted her to get her chance to know you, and you ruined it." She started walking away she didn't feel like going to 8th period, she was doing great in that class, Drama, so it really didn't matter if she missed one class. Besides, they were doing miming and she already passed the test for it.
Micheal followed her out of the building and she was about to hop on her bike when Micheal said, "Why don't I bring you wherever you want to go since I got you into this mess?" She looked at him frowned a little, sighed, and then asked, "Car or bike?" Then she motioned to the Bike20Rack. "Car" and Micheal pointed to a candy apple red Shebly Mustang Convertible. Virginia’s jaw almost dropped but, she held it in.
"Micheal, How old are you again?"
"Old enough to drive a car."
"How Old?" She said a little more forceful.
"I’m 17. This is my dad’s car; he gave it to me last year."
"Oh, so you’re older than Eliza and I? You’re not in our grade?"
"Yea. I’m not in your grade, I’m a junior."
"Oh. I knew that."
"Sure....How old are you?"
"I’m 17....."
"Why are you a sophomore then?"
"Okay. I stayed back. I didn't pass coloring in 1st grade."
"Why don’t you drive a car?"
"My parents don't think I'm responsible enough for one yet."
They both laughed and Micheal put Virginia's bike in the Shelby's trunk. Then, opened Virginia's door for her. He slid over the hood of the car onto the driver's side and fell a little on the landing. "Are you okay?" Virginia asked when he got into the car. "Yea. I’m fine" He smiled at her and started the engine. "Please, don't try and do any ridiculous stunts while I'm in the car, I get queasy very easily." Micheal nodded and kept his eyes on the road. "Would you mind if I turned the radio on, Micheal?" He looked at her this time because they were at the longest red light in town. "You don't have to call me Micheal, you can call me Mike or something a little less formal." She looked at him and a smile20came across her face and then she gave him a light kiss on the cheek. "You don’t have to call me Virginia either; you can call me something else a little less formal, like Vivie." He smiled and said "okay, Vivie." She opened her mouth to ask the question but before she said anything Mike had started to say "Sure, I don't mind, just nothing to obscene" Virginia giggled a little. She decided to put the radio on her favorite station and the song playing was also her favorite. A-ha--Take on me. She was very glad Mike had put the top down, even though it was cloudy, because she loved dancing to this song and she didn't care who was watching. He looked at her and a smile spread across his face from eye to eye.
They were driving for about half and hour before Mike thought of something. He pulled onto a dirt road and then a patch of grass. Another one of Virginia's favorite songs came on Shake it by Metro Station. Mike got out of the car, without shutting it off, and walked to Virginia's side of the car. He looked at her "Would you like to dance?" he asked and lightly grabbed her hand hoping she would say yes. She looked at him a little confused. Smiled and replied "Certainly" she got out of the car and Mike took her into his arms and they danced slowly to a brand new up-beat song. Once the song was over Mike turned the car off and took out his mothers quilt that he kept in the car in case he got stuck somewhere.

He walked back over to Virginia and put the blanket down in front of a tree so they could sit and gaze at the scenery. The clouds were starting to turn a light pink because the sun was just beginning to set, the grass down in the valley was freshly cut and smelled like mother nature had made it just for Micheal and Virginia, the hills where the sun was setting were smooth as a relaxing stone, the mood was just right for a romantic escape. Virginia forgot all about her fight with Eliza and the only thing Micheal could think about was the way Virginia sparkled at this moment. Virginia caught him looking at her, she blushed and turned her head away from him a little to try and hide it. Mike laughed a little but didn't stop staring. She turned back to him and she inched her face closer to his. He noticed and started moving his face closer to hers. Their faces are but 1/2 an inch away from each others and then Virginia made the move she pressed her lips to his just as the sun hit them in such a way it seemed like they were angels swearing their love for each other and proving it with the most romantic kiss ever. The heavens sang during the kiss. It was the first kiss that every girl dreams about. Too bad Micheal is one of the farthest thing from an angel.

I like this a lot. My only stipulation about it though is how quickly Virginia warms up to Michael. Yes you said that secretly she liked him, but other than that...Unless she herself is a wanna-be-Michael-obsessor...it went too quickly for me.
And Eliza's reaction, while totally spot on was a little over the top. I thought she would just uninvite them then run off crying instead of nearly killing them.

Granted I am in no way a popular person, but I did go to Highschool, and that's how most drama unfolded. :D


And I love that you use Seattle. I live a few hours away, WAAAY up in the Islands :D

Chapter 2.....


The clouds from the day thinned out so you could see the sun set, the sun wasn't very bright, the clouds had thinned out but they hadn't gone away. Micheal and Virginia sat t heir and watched the sun set. "Virginia," Micheal started but was cut off by Virginia's cell phone ringing. "Sorry Mike, Hold on” Mike sighed and laughed a little. She picked up the phone, it was her parents. They said that it was getting late and they wanted to know where she was, who she was with, and when she would be home. She told them, "I’m at the park" she lied, "I’m with my friend Mike" truth, "and I'll be home at curfew." hopefully the truth. Her parents were annoyed but said "okay, love you, bye" "love ya bye" Virginia said and looked back at Micheal. He looked at her and asked "What time is your curfew?” he sounded a little sad, looked at his watch and said "It's 7:30 right now" Virginia smiled at him "My curfew is 1 in the morning." She giggled and kissed him. He smiled into the kiss, and then they both pulled away.

"Virginia, I was wondering would you like to be my girlfriend?"
"Yes, I would love to be your girlfriend." Virginia yawns and tries to hide it.
"That’s awesome; you seem tired do you want to go home?"
"No, I just need a little rest."
"Okay"

Micheal brings Virginia to the other side of the tree to sleep that way if anything happened they weren't to far away from the car to get away. Vivie sat down and Mike sat next to her. She laid her head on his shoulder and fell asleep. Mike put his mother's quilt over both of them. He rested his=2 0head on hers, their hands intertwined and a smile on her face he went to sleep, lightly. He heard some rustling and opened one eye, trying to make it seem like he was still asleep. He saw a shadowy figure some feet away with huge bright yellow eyes. It was staring at Virginia. Mike slowly and acting as if he was asleep clutches on to Vivie tightly but not tight enough for her to wince. He seems as though he was having a nightmare, the 'thing' didn't know he was awake. He whispered into Vivie's ear "I am going to bring you to the car don't get scared, please." Before the 'thing' even noticed that Mike got up Vivie and him were in the car speeding away.
Vivie woke up while it was chasing after them. "Shit. I was hoping she wasn't still mad." Mike looked at her a little confused and then realized who it was, "That is ELIZA??" Virginia looked at him and tried to seem innocent,"Yea. It is, she told me she was a Wolf, I didn't really believe her. She told me that she only transformed when its a full moon or when she gets really pissed off during the day. I never her saw her as a wolf because I was to afraid to get her mad." Mike was a little scared but had an idea.
"I got an idea, but you have to follow my directions exactly how I say them. Okay?"
"Okay"
"I’m going to go back on the main road. Hopefully, the lights will blind her a little."
"Okay, she has a sensitive nose; she will sti ll be able to follow my smell. She knows it very well."
"I know. That’s why you have to make a life size doll out of the stuff in my backseat and put your smell all over it"
"Okay, but I'm not using your mother's quilt, I would never ruin anything important to you."
"Thanks. Do you wear perfume? Put your book bag on it to"
"I don't wear perfume, why would you ask? And I'm glad I got a cheap book bag this year."
"Well because if you did we could have put that on the stuff and thrown it out the window."
Virginia climbed into the back carefully so that Eliza couldn't see her. She took her book bag and took out her books then put magazines in to make it seem heavy. She took off her shirt and stuffed it with rags that Mike had in the back for cleaning his car. She took her Payless shoes and put some more rags in her shoes. She spit on all the rags so they would smell more like her then oil and cleaning fluid. She didn't want to, but she took off her pants and put magazines rolled up as her legs. She rubbed the magazines up and down herself so they would lead Eliza away. "I have some extra clothes in the trunk if you want to put them on" Mike said keeping his eyes on the road. He was a very respectable guy. "I don't want you to freeze" he said laughing a little. Virginia stuck her head up front and said "okay smart ass, how am I suppose to get to the trunk without getting out of the car?" He laughed "Pull down the center console in the backseat and the clothes are right there." Virginia looked back at the console and kissed Mike on the cheek. "Thanks, gorgeous" She opened the backseat and put on Mike's clothes. She inhaled deeply they smelt as sweet as Micheal did. She put her double in the front seat and ducked down in the back so Eliza thought the dummy was Virginia.
Micheal sped up the car a little bit and opened Virginia's door then pushed the dummy out. He shut the door and sped to over 100mph. Virginia climbed back in the front seat and saw Eliza for about two seconds and then everything was just a blur because Mike was going so fast. "You look good in my clothes" Mike said looking at Virginia. Virginia smiled and said "Thank you. What time is it?" Mike looked at his watched while slowing the car down and said "its midnight" Virginia frowned; "Only an hour and then I have to go home." She rested her head on his shoulder. Her stomach rumbled a little so she held it. "You hungry?" Mike asked looking at her holding her tummy. "Yea a little, but I don't want to go home. And I don't want to spend your money. So my tummy can wait until one." Mike looked at her like she had two heads and said "There is no way that you are going hungry, just for me" He was talking to her tummy and put one hand over her shoulder and kissed her cheek.
He pulled into G's Burger's parking lot and said "I have=2 0money and you don't have to worry about spending it because it’s ours to spend." "Can we have Ice Cream before we have burgers?" Virginia said. Carvel and G's Burgers are connected, in one building. They both smiled and Micheal got out of the car and opened Virginia's door for her. She stepped out and hugged him then he kissed her. "Of course, after all Ice Cream is better food then burgers." Virginia laughed and then grabbed Michael’s hand and walked into Carvel. Virginia ordered a large waffle cone with vanilla ice cream dipped in peanut butter shell. Micheal ordered a small cup vanilla ice cream with hot fudge on top. They went out side onto the benches to eat. "Vivie you like large things don't you?" Mike asked with extreme sarcasm in his voice. "Oh yes I do." She winked and pushed him playfully. He dropped his ice cream, before he even took a bite/lick of it. "Aw. I’m so sorry Mike I didn't realize I pushed you that hard. Let me buy you another one." Micheal stopped her from getting up. "Nah, its okay, the only thing I want is right in front of me, even though your not a thing, your still what I want." Virginia blushed and kissed him. A playful, teasing kiss. "You might want to finish that ice cream otherwise I might have to lick it off of you, because it’s dripping everywhere.
Micheal leans over to her and licks her face. Her face wasn't even slightly damp. It tickled her though. Then, he licked the ice cream up f rom her hands. He gave her a light kiss on the lips. She finished her ice cream. Then he asked "Do you want to get anything at G's burgers?" She looked at him and gave him doe eyes. Then she said, "Not really, the ice cream was enough." She smiled; he gave her a very serious look and said "tsk, tsk. Very unhealthy diet young lady." She giggled and he smiled. "I don't care. I’m in great health!" She smiled and jumped up from the bench and started running around. Mike laughed and started chasing her; he didn't run at full speed because he was just playing. He caught Virginia and lightly tackled her to the ground. They rolled in the grass. Vivie laid on her stomach with her elbows under her chin for support and watched Mike roll in the grass. He thought Virginia was still rolling in it. "Hey you look a little crazy doing that, maybe I should take a few steps back." She said and laughed a bit. Then he realized she wasn't rolling anymore and rolled over to Virginia and took her into his arms and they
laid there and stared at the bright stars. Their town was in the middle of nowhere. All of a sudden a bright thing appears above G's Burgers so they both look over and "Its a shooting star, Make a wish!" Virginia said. "I wish that I could be held by Micheal forever." Micheal kissed her and then made his wish. “I wish that....." he finished his wish in his head, 'when I tell Virginia my secret she will accept me.' "Hey I want to know what you wished for." She looked at him pouting. He lied to her "I wished that we could spend the rest of time together" She smiled and they hugged each other. "Uh Oh." Mike looked at his watch "Its 12:45 and your house is 20 minutes away. We have to go" Virginia pouted but Mike said "Don't worry after breakfast tomorrow I will be over and we can hang out again, just make sure its okay with your parents." She nodded and Mike helped her get up.

They walked to the car and Mike opened the door for her and got in the driver's side before she finished getting her seat belt on. "Your really fast. You scared me." Micheal looked worried and said. "Oh no. I didn't want to do that, I’m sorry I won't do it again." Virginia grabbed his hand and reassured him. "Its okay" she giggled "It wasn't scary, it just surprised me at how fast you can move." He looked at her and his face clamed and he loosened up again. "Okay." He kissed Virginia and brought her home. When they arrived at Virginia's house she still had 5 minutes before curfew. Micheal kind of did 90mph all the way there. He didn't want her to be late. Mike turned toward Virginia and looked straight into hers eyes and said "I love you." She was surprised and happy she hugged him tightly with a few small tears of joy dripping down his back she said "I love you too!" Micheal walked her to the door and gave her a hug and a kiss goodnight right before her parents opened the door. Virginia’s father, Brandon, realized that Virginia was in guy's clothing. "Time for the boyfriend discussion young man" said Brandon.

"Honey it's too late for that" said Cathy, Virginia's mother, “Why don't you come back tomorrow" she said directing it toward Micheal, "Then, you can give him that talk." She looked at Brandon. He nodded and Micheal said "Goodbye and Goodnight Mr. and Mrs. ...." "Parcel" Virginia's parents finished together. Micheal nodded and was on his way. Virginia gave her parents goodnight kisses and headed upstairs to bed. Once in bed Virginia thought over her day. Well not all of it. She didn't want to think about the Eliza incidents. She focused mainly on the kissing factors of the day. Also, how she was now Micheal's girlfriend. She smiled and fell right to sleep. She doesn't know that she has a little guardian 'angel' on her side. It watches her and makes sure she is always safe. In all actuality it was watching her as she slept so peaceful and full of life. It didn't want to take her away from that. It wanted her to live a nice quiet peaceful safe life. So it went to go do some research on Virginia Parcel and her family.
Virginia woke up the next day and couldn't wait to see Micheal. She went downstairs and there he was sitting at the table. He looked as perfect as ever sitting there drinking a cup of coffee and talking with Cathy while she fixed breakfast for everyone. Brandon had already had his little 'talk' with Micheal and Micheal had passed the boyfriend test Virginia's father had given him. "So how is everyone this morning" said Virginia giving everyone a kiss on her way to the fridge. Her parents nodded like they always did and Micheal said "I'm ready for whatever you want to do today." Virginia took some milk and poured herself some and sat down next to Micheal. "Hmmmm.... I don't know what I want to do today." Virginia said as politely as she possibly could she didn't want her parents thinking she was doing some nasty things with Micheal. The only thing that she does do with Micheal is kiss him and hang out with him. That’s what most teenage boyfriends and girlfriends do. Brandon's face was whiter than Micheal’s. Cathy whispered in his ear "Honey, they aren't doing that; they know we have eyes everywhere." Of course Virginia didn't hear Cathy but Micheal did.
Virginia finished her milk and told her parents "I'll be out with Micheal for the day...." she looked at Micheal and he finished her sentence for her "And don't worry about anything. She won't be any harm" Brandon and Cathy nodded then Micheal and Virginia were on their way. "V. I know where we can go today." She looked at him "Oh really? Where?" Micheal smiled and helped Virginia into the car. "It's a nice little Cafe just outside of town." Virginia looked interested and said "Okay let’s go there." As they drove Virginia couldn't help but stare at him in awe. She always thought he was hot but as she looked at20him in the slightest bit of sunlight coming in from Mike's sunroof she couldn't help but practically gawk at his perfection. He chuckled and said "You know its not very nice to stare." That knocked Virginia right out of her day dreaming. She shook her head and looked out the window because she was blushing. "I wasn't staring" Mike chuckled "I was just looking at you intensely" Micheal got nervous and stopped the car suddenly. "Why would you need to look intensely at me" His eyes quickly darted in all directions. "Mike, relax. I was just kidding; it’s kind of hard to think of another way to say 'yea I was staring...but I couldn't help myself' okay?" Mikes eyes stopped darting and he looked at Virginia all relaxed again and he kissed her forehead. "I'm sorry I had a few troubles at home last night and since then I have been a little accusatory. Im sorry." Virginia smirked at him then kissed him. "I could never stay mad at you, you’re too perfect, and that one little mistake doesn't matter." She sat back down in her seat and Micheal continued driving to the cafe.
Once they got to the cafe Virginia stepped out of the car and "awww. It’s so cute." Mike looked at her and chuckled. "What?" She said looking at him now instead of the Cafe. "You complimented it like you would a little puppy." Mike said and Virginia just shrugged "Oh Well." Mike gently placed his arm across her back and walked her into the cafe. The cafe was so cozy. It was all neutral colors mostly blues a nd browns. It was a very laid back place. Instead of seats in front of the stage there were big blue beanie bag chairs. A few tables were set up near the bar and the walls were dark bamboo color. Virginia basically walked all the way up to the stage in a daze. "V. You can sit now." Virginia blinked a few times and looked at him. "Oh." She looked at the beany bag chairs and her face lit up. "Yay!" She plopped herself down so hard she thought she hit the floor. She must have jumped pretty hard into the chairs considering that they were at least a foot thick. Mike left her and she looked after him with a question in her eyes. "You'll see" Mike said and got on the stage.
He grabbed the microphone from the stand and started singing "I will Love you" by Fisher. He sang it a little lower key, though. It still sounded perfect in everyone's ears, he looked positively amazing on stage, and he smelled like fresh cut roses. Virginia thought she was in heaven.
" 'Til my body is dust...til the end of the earth.....I will love you. love you.
'Til the sun starts to cry...and the moon turns to rust...I will love you…Love you.

But I need to know will you stay for all...tiiime And I'll give my love 'til the end of all time. Forever... and a…day"

The pianist has a quiet solo while Micheal and Virginia stare into each others eyes. The small cafe crowd 'awed' in the background. Micheal sang while he stared into his love's eyes.
"And I need to know will you stay for all tiiime, Forever and a day"
Virginia nodded never letting her eyes leave Micheal's.
"Then I'll give my love until the end of all tiiime."
He couldn't sing anymore Virginia's eyes started to well up with tears. So he put the microphone back on the stand, hopped off the stage, and sat on the bean bag chair with her in his arms. They listened to the pianist play the rest of the song with no singer.

Virginia fell asleep in Michael’s arms while listening to the pianist. She awoke in Micheal's car. "Good Morning Sleeping Beauty" Micheal said when Virginia sat up her seat. Micheal carried her to the car when she started snoring. She yawned "Thank you. But I bet you have seen people more beautiful" Micheal shook his head no; "I never had, when I saw you I couldn't breathe. You’re the only girl I have ever seen that I find truly beautiful" Virginia took a minute to take that in........."Really?" she could barely even whisper. Micheal pulled over to the side of the road so he could look at her. "Absolutely. You make my world brighter and my days seem shorter. I want to spend every second I can with you. I love you." Virginia was speechless, she almost couldn't comprehend that the most beautiful person in the world thought she was perfect. She looked at him with her mouth wide open and her mind still trying to wrap itself around Micheal's words. Micheal seemed worried, he was scared that he had just spilt his heart out to her and she didn't feel the same way. Micheal shouldn't even be able to feel this way.
Virginia finally spoke "I...I ...don't... know.... what....to... say." Micheal looked terrified. "I'm extremely excited. But, to me there are no words I can't say to express how that made me feel" Micheal cheered up and moved over to where Virginia was in the car and hugged her, he held her like that for quite some time. Neither one of them moved. They wanted to stay like that forever. Virginia wanted to know if there was a way they could. Virginia moved first, she shifted her weight so she could look at Micheal. His face naturally glistening in the minor sunlight. She was always in awe of him. What made her life seem even more like a dream was that Micheal, the pinnacle of perfection, just confessed his love for her. She still didn't know what to say. She wanted to tell him how much she loved him; she couldn't put it all together. "Micheal" she said still trying to think while she was slowly talking. "I..I..want..to..tell.. you how.. much... I love you. But, I..can't... find the right words. I mean when I'm with you nothing else in the world matters. Everything but you seems like a blur. The world seems so insignificant when you hold me in20your arms. You make me feel like I actually belong somewhere. You make me feel special, like I am perfect. I don't know how to say it. It just feels right being with you." Now Micheal was the one who was speechless. At first he thought she didn't feel the same way and now he thinks his love for her is microscopic compared to how she feels. He couldn't say anything so he kissed her. They both started to tear up when they were kissing.
Virginia was so happy that she didn't realize Micheal was kissing her until she started kissing him back a couple of seconds later. They kissed for a while until a cop came by and told them "Only emergency stops can be made here." Virginia turned away from Micheal and blushed a very bright cherry red. Micheal straighted himself out and "Sorry, Officer D. It was an emergency then we resolved it and we were celebrating." The officer looked at Mike suspiciously and nodded his head "Well, kids move along." Micheal nodded went back to driving and once they were out of the 'emergency stopping only area' they started dying from laughter. Virginia's face was totally flushed, as red as a fresh picked apple. Micheal was laughing so hard he couldn't even breathe, even though he didn't have to. Micheal slowly stopped laughing before Virginia who was still hunched over in her seat laughing. She realized that Mike stopped laughing and tried to calm herself. Micheal noticed that she did then thought of something. He realized that the sun had settled and it was about 8:00. "Hey Virginia. What do you think about coming to my house for a little while?" Virginia looked stunned that he would ask that. "What?" Micheal knew what she thought he meant. "Ohhh. Not to do that..." he laughed a little "So you can meet my parents. silly." Virginia was embarrassed that she had thought that, "Oops. Sure." She hugged Micheal and they were on their way.

Micheal's house was on the outskirts of town. Not to far from where the Cafe was. He pulled into his driveway, it curved into the woods. The family, the Marlochi's like their privacy. Their neighbor's do too. They live a couple of hundred feet away. The Marlochi's house is a two story baby blue house with dark blue shutters and an off white door. The house looked like it was for a family of four people. But, the house extended into the backyard. It has a two car garage at the end of the driveway that matched the house. Across the road from the Marlochi's house is a lake, Phantom lake. The Marlochi's own a quarter of it, they have a speed boat at the end of their dock. The lake isn't that big, it empties out into Cape River. Micheal got of the car and helped Virginia out of the car. The driveway was just slim enough for a car to fit on it, and Mike parked out of the garage. He didn't want Virginia to slip on the wet leaves and fall.

"Thank you" Virginia said when she was in front of his car on the driveway. She had slipped even with Micheal holding onto her arm so she didn't fall. They made their way to the house. When they got to the front door Mike stopped "Virginia, My parents are a little different from me. They act a little strange when they meet a knew person. If you get frightened we can leave. They do it with everyone, just because they are a 'little'" he did the sarcastic air quote signs "paranoid." Virginia looked at him like he was speaking another language. But, then she understood, "Oh. They aren't much of people type of persons are they?" Micheal nodded; he opened the front door and were greeted by 7 people.

"Hello mother and father." Micheal said gently as he walked into the house with Virginia hand in his, her following behind him, closely. She was very nervous, she had just received a warning from Micheal about his family, now she finds out they were right inside the door listening to him. "Hello Mr. and Mrs...." she trails off and asks Micheal quietly ”What is your last name" he laughs a little because he knew that everyone heard her. "It's Marlochi." She nods and tries to greet them again. Christina and Dante give her a strange look. "Hello Mr. and Mrs. Marlochi." They nod then together say "Hello Virginia, Micheal has told us quite a bit about you." Virginia turns around and looks at Micheal nervously, he just laughs. His mother Christina, Tina, says "Oh, don’t worry nothing bad." She giggles a bit and motions everyone behind her to come forward so she can introduce them.

Tina points at the two girls first. "These are my two precious daughters Kat and Amanda. They are twins but are total opposites. Try to remember with one is which. They are very rude when people confuse them with the other one." Kat and Amanda look at Virginia politely but they are actually analyzing her. The three other boys stepped forward "These are Mike's brothers." Tina walked in front of them and pointed at each one by one "Paul, the youngest." She points to the next boy "This is Kyle he is the oldest. Three years older than Micheal." Virginia whispered into Mike's ear "Why didn't you tell me anything prior to this?” Mike chuckled a little. "Because I wanted you to be surprised." Virginia playfully pushed Mike and the introductions continued." And last but not least the middle child." Tina said sarcastically teasing Zack. "Zachary" "Tina.... it’s Zack not my full name" Zack said whining. Virginia whispered to Mike again "....Are you sure he is older than you...?" Micheal laughed again then said "He is two years older then me... I’m almost sure..." With that Zack and Kyle went outside to play football. Kat and Amanda went to their rooms. While Dante and Tina went outside to the patio to relax.

Micheal and Virginia were left standing in the huge living room alone. "So....." Virginia started to say then didn't know what to say after that. She looked at Micheal and just couldn't help but laugh. Micheal knew what she was laughing about. They just had the most awkward moment ever with Micheal's family and the family just left like it was nothing. Micheal started laughing too. Virginia noticed he started laughing and took advantage of it. She crept around to the other side of him and poked him lightly in his side. It made him laugh even more. Virginia was very happy with this outcome so she tried it again. He started falling onto the floor he was laughing so hard. Virginia didn't know, though, that Micheal was faking it. She went to tickle him again and he scared her half way across the room. "Don't..do....that...to...meee." Virginia practically squeaked through her teeth because she had to catch her breath. "Ok... I won't do it again, but you have to promise me that you'll warn me before you tickle me."

Virginia looked up at him this time because she didn't know if she could keep that promise. "I can't do that so... I guess you can scare me half to death whenever you want." They both laughed, Micheal went over to Virginia to help her sit down. "Are you okay, now?" Micheal asked when Virginia and him were sitting on the couch. "Yea. I’m fine... Hey could I see your room??" Virginia asked with so much curiosity in her voice Mike thought she would go and find his room before he could even answer. He looked at her and she had a pouty face on "Please?" Mike couldn't say no to that. He didn't, he grabbed Virginia's hand and led her upstairs. They past two doorways on the right side of the hallway and there was Mike's room. His door was a brilliant red with a shining black doorknob. "Close your eyes." Mike said looking at Virginia. Virginia pouted but this time Mike said "No, you have to close your eyes, or we can go back down stairs." Virginia closed her eyes and Mike put his hand over them just in case she decided to peak. She sighed and Mike kissed the top of her head. He wanted to make sure that everything in his room was perfect before Virginia saw it. Especially the painting.
