OK, so this was one of my idea for a roleplay that started but died quickly, so I took what was there and will add more I really liked the idea and thought that it would be a good story. This is not all of it but I want to see i fothers would like it, so tell me what you think.

Sitting in an underground home near Washington, Sumiko has occupied it for the last three weeks her food rations have almost been depleted. She has not gotten a phone call from her father yet, he said that he would call her when the nuclear war was over. Sumiko decided that the war should be over by now and left the safety of the underground.

Above ground Sumiko’s assumptions were right the war was over and all that was left was blackened ground and snow, a lot of snow. The world had been plunged into a never ending winter, she began to walk and try to find other survivors and headed towards the place which her father had told her he was going to be.

Sumiko walked to Washington to find him and food, it took her three days to get to Washington and did not sleep or eat. She decided that she should look for a place to sleep then find her father and food.

Sumiko had finally found an abandoned house that was reduced to only four walls and half of the roof. She decided to stop here for the time being so that she could get some rest and then go out looking for some food. When she walked through the empty front door way she found skeletons scattered around the floor, nothing but bones and pieces of the fabric they once used as clothing. She moved some of the skeletons off to the side; she lied down and fell asleep.

A single eye was seen from a split in the fabric as Leliana peeked out from through the window, ‘Another visitor? Interesting.’ A small smile crossed her pale red lips as she passed through the dirty and web covered glass. She drew nearer to the girl sleeping on the floor among the tatters of old clothing and tilted her head to the side as a small black cat leapt from a staircase in the other room. "She looks human." The cat's sophisticated tone drew closer and Leliana looked to her scratching her head in slight confusion, Idess had told her about the Humans that had passed the house but she had never actually met one, nor seen one up close. She couldn't leave the mansion's grounds without feeling herself grow fainter and fainter. "A human? Yes." Idess laid a paw lightly on the girl's shoulder and licked her lips, "Poor child must be lost." Leliana sat on the floor and smiled, "Than we should wait until she wakes and help her!"

Nero yawned silently while he looked away from the bright screen of his computer, giving his weary eyes a moment of respite. It had been many months since the crisis that led to the downfall of modern civilization and society, but there were fortunately only a few places left that bared inhospitable levels of radiation. It had been even longer since he had interacted with anyone. His mind seemed to take advantage of the small moment of rest and prolonged it by giving Nero something to dream about and doze off to. The crackle of thunder snapped him back into reality, or what was left of it anyway. He resumed his studying of seemingly meaningless information; history and secret files of the fallen government of the nation he resides in. It felt odd being in the capitol building, reading the secret plans and operations, confirming leaks and assumed theories of how they operated. Reading all of it would take awhile and he didn't feel like staying in the building to do so. It smelled of decay and the occasional whiff of hazardous material. He transferred the files onto his own laptop, which he built himself, and jumped out of the building's second story window. The snow cushioned his fall and his quick footsteps that would carry him back home. Upon his arrival, he caught a new scent and froze. "An intruder," he whispered to himself. He walked slowly through the shack, his steps silent and his breath slowed. He could see the skeletons were moved from their previous arrangement. Someone was there, who smelt rather lovely... Nero's eyes snapped to the sleeping girl, whom inconveniently fell into slumber on top of the trap door leading to his abode. He tiptoed and knelt down in a dark corner and began to wait, staring at her with his uncommon, violet eyes.

Leliana looked to her left as a boy walked in through the door, totally oblivious to her and the small cat lying lazily next to her. Giggling softly she stood and moved closer, letting her fingers trail along his back and shoulders, "Leliana, stop it! He can still feel it you know!" Her lip began to tremble, "But its fun!" She stamped her foot once, the sound echoing off the walls, "I wanna mess with the Humans!" Idess stood and stretched, her claws hooking into the fabric underneath her paws, "Just be careful and don't make to much noise and be to annoying to them? Humans don't like Ghosts, I told you!" Leliana stuck her tongue out at the cat's closed eyes and slowly snoring face and turned back to the man sitting in front of the other girl. She tilted her head again she stared into his eyes, they weren't the usual colour of Human's eyes, even her own pale grey weren't that colour. The only time she had seen a colour like that was when Idess got mad at her, which was pretty often.

Nero felt extremely disappointed in himself that he could be as oblivious as to overlook the presence of a cat... And something else. He felt the hairs on the back of his neck stand in a thin line as if someone trailed their finger along it. The feeling moved down to his shoulders and he saw the cat look in his direction, but not at him; a dead giveaway. "I know you're there," he muttered softly, feeling the piercing stare of some otherworldly being. He reached out his hand and the tips of his fingers grew cold. He could tell he was feeling someone or something unnatural... If only he knew exactly where he was touching, he might have known to expect a slap from the ghostly being...

Leliana giggled and clapped her hands, now getting excited that the man had felt her. "Told you." She looked to Idess and frowned, "But can he see you?" Idess smiled and lowered her head slightly, "Because I let him, you could to if you concentrate hard enough." Leliana nodded and clapped again, "I wanna try!" She stamped her foot and stood straighter, giggling slightly as the male's hand passed through her stomach, "Stop it! That tickles!" She ran around the room, arms spread out wide, full airplane mode in her eyes, "I'm an airplane Idess! Watch me soar!" Idess stood and walked to the male, tilting her slightly, "What's your name Human?" She looked to Leliana and smiled as her image shifted until she was not a mere faint figure but a full blown being. It had been so long since her mistress had been whole, not since he came of course.

Nero's eyes turned to the cat who had just spoken to him and his peripherals had caught the materialization of the ghost he had just touched. He would've had a much more surprised expression had it not been that all his levels of astonishment had been taken by the info he had found at the capitol. Thus, he kept a cool composure and answered the feline, "My name is Nero." His eyes shifted from the cat, to the sleeping girl, to the one who appeared seemingly out of nowhere. "May I be given the same courtesy and know your names?" The question was primarily directed at the talking animal, but his eyes were glued to the ghostly girl. As introverted as he was, he loved to stare and take in beautiful appearances.

Leliana froze as a male voice broke the giggles she had been letting slip through and when she looked at him her eyes were drawn into his. Her arms dropped to her side and her smiled, "Can you see me?" She looked to Idess and clapped her hands, "Did you see me Idess! I did it!" She jumped up and down clapping her hands enthusiastically, "I'm proud of you my dear." Idess smiled at the happy child and turned back to Nero, "I'm Idess," She looked at Leliana, still clapping excitedly, "And that is my Mistress Leliana." She looked back to Nero, a little confused, "What are you doing here? It feels like you've been here a few times but we have never encountered you."

Hearing the sound of voices coming from some where near Sumiko awoke, to see a man, cat and ghostly figure all in the abandoned house with her. Startled she jumped to her feet, and backs up to the wall. She said "Sorry, I thought that this place was abandoned" and edges her way slow towards the door.

Nero was about to answer Idess, but the waking of the sleeping woman stole his attention. "It is abandoned and I don't live here, but I do live under it." Without delay, he opened the trap door that she had slept on and hopped into the dark. It was a fair fall, but after jumping out the capitol building, it was little more than a jostle. He did not wait for the others to follow and made his way towards his computer, which was fairly large, and began transferring the data for a later viewing. Although a lot of the information Nero gathers is for sating his ever-hungry mind, he does look into a possible "cure" for the seemingly endless winter. The pale man coughed gave a suppressed, but painful cough before turning to the door way, assuming the others would follow.

Sumiko stopped and watched as the man opened the trap door on which she had been sleeping. Surprised and curious she bent over and looked in to the dark hole into which the man had disappeared. She thought to herself "How deep could it possibly be?" Not thinking twice she got up and jumped in after him, forgetting about the cat and ghostly figure that were right there. When she landed at the bottom she stumbled a bit then looked into the darkness ahead of her, she saw a dim light in the distance and she began to walk towards it. When she got there she saw the man with a laptop putting something into a larger computer. Sumiko said "You live here?" She started to walk around looking at all the various parts of the room they were standing in. Then she asks "How long have you been here?"

Nero coughed again quietly and quickly wiped the blood on his dark pants, hoping she wouldn't notice. "I've resided here for a few months now, but I tend to pack my things and travel around, looting and scavenging for information. It's a hobby and I plan on fixing this mess." He let his eyes rest on her appearance again, but it was for more than just simple desire. He gazed for what seemed like a long time, but continued to feel better every second that passed with his eyes fixed upon her. He was indeed a human, but a fairly odd one. He finally "regained" his conscience and blushed lightly, though not enough for one to notice in the dark. "Sorry for staring... It's just been so long since I've seen anybody. I've almost forgotten what a person is supposed to look like..." It wasn't the best or believable excuse.

Sumiko said "fix this mess you mean the never ending winter were in or the sickness which causes you to cough up blood?" Looking at the blood that he had wiped on his pants then back to him. Quickly glancing at the information that was transferring from the laptop to the larger computer she asks "what type of information do you look for?” After realizing that he was staring at her she says "It's all right I haven't seen anybody for a long time either. Actually you are the first person that I have seen in since that explosion”. Then she continues with the questions that she has "Why do you travel to? Does it look the same as this or better? Can I help you?"

Idess chuckled slightly as the girl awoke, now this shall be interesting! She looked to Leliana who continued to stare at the Humans instead of actually follow them as they proceeded to jump down the trapdoor. Idess had always wanted to know what was down there but had never actually gotten the chance to convince Leliana to open it for her. "Are we going to follow them?" Leliana had walked up next to Idess while she had been thinking and she was now looking down into the dark hole, her pale blonde hair covering her face. Idess couldn't see what she as seeing, nor could guess what she was thinking until the small girl giggled, clapped her hands and took a step out into nothingness. She didn't fall at once but floated for a second until lightly drifting to the bottom. With a sigh Idess also followed this time landing lightly in the ground which was cold beneath her feet. As her cat eyes quickly adjusted she watched the exchange between the two Humans, "What is this of a sickness?" It might have been what Leliana had been sick from, because of him. Scoffing slightly a male popped into Idess's mind, "Silly Humans, always messing with genetics they aren't meant to."

Sumiko turned towards the way that she came thinking that she heard something, and then turned her head back to the man. She realized that she had no idea what his name was even after talking to him for a while so she quickly adds in "What is your name?"

Nero suppressed another cough and turned back to check on the progress of his computer. "It's Nero, and I doubt that there is anything you can do to help either of the problems. But I am trying to solve the winter first. The nasty cough can wait." He tried to dismiss the cough as having little importance or effect, but the blood wetting his lips contradicted that. The frail human turned to the small shifting noise that the ghost made when she entered. "May I know your name, sleepy one?" He asked and turned to face Sumiko again, letting his eyes wander along her.

"My name is Sumiko, but I am not the sleepy one. It is a pleasure to meet you Nero." Sumiko turns toward the way she came and asks "If I can not help you with any of problems, may I travel with you?" Sumiko turns back to Nero and waits for the answer.

Nero raised an eyebrow to her, white like the rest of his hair. "I fear that the idea of traveling with me is much more a burden than the company I offer is worth, but if you're optimistic about it, I don't mind." He wanted to seem as bland towards the offer as he could, though he loved the idea of company, especially the company of a girl. Nero gave Sumiko a smile and returned to his computer. He felt a little more encouraged to fix this post-nuclear winter since now he knew there were others to spend it with, should he fix it.

Sumiko look at Nero, "Well then it is settled I am going to travel with you, unless you really don't want me to come" she smiled in return. Pausing for a moment the walking up to Nero's side by the computer to wait for him to reply to her. Her eyes a pale blue look up toward the ceiling, then back to the computer and Nero.

"Scratch scratch, went the cat," said a distant voice down the dust filled road, filled with the upturned cars and trucks abandoned by their owners. "Patter patter, went the dog." Soon enough, a shadowy figure could be seen...strolling?...along the road, his hands outstretched from his oddly well dressed self, as if he were balancing himself on a rail track. Alden smiled madly, his visible red eye gazing upon a rather hideous sight- a cratered town from one of the massive nukes dropped on the world. One like all the others, seen all across America, China, and every other bloody spot of civilization.
"Boom bang, went the bomb," he sang, strolling along once more, his pentacle necklace dangling out of place from his 19th century English outfit. "Hmm?" he mused, seeing the nearly capsized home, the presence of others immediately entering his senses. "Ah, people I can bother~" he chimed, skipping along to the nearly blasted door, knocking casually on it's charred self....till it fell over...

Sumiko, glanced up once more she knew that she had heard a noise coming from above. She started to walk back to the entrance that was the trap door, but then she decided against it and walked back to Nero's side at the computer, gazing and the computer screen which was filled with information.

Alden still stood there, his hand raised above as if still knocking; his visible eye closed with the strange smile..."Hmm. No one home?" his voice called, stepping through the battered arch way and into the shack of a house, his hands locked around his back while he gazed around curiously, seemingly of no concern to the trap door he passed right by. He was easily distracted, see? And cats, well...They were to die for to see for him.
OOOH, kitty!" he exclaimed, skipping to it with a giddy like expression, laughing as he cradled it. "Hee~, so soft and furry and nya"

Idess shook her head as the Humans ignored not only her but also Leliana and looked to the trap door again as she heard rustling and movement from what she could only guess was another human. Looking to Leliana who had opted for ignoring the others and sitting on the ground playing in the dirt, she quickly jumped on a couple of boxes stacked high near the trap door and was able to quickly jump her way back out...only to be captured in the arms of a male. It did feel good, his soft touch on her back, but after a few seconds of heavenly purring she came to her senses and jumped restlessly in his arms, "Let go of me!"

interesting plot idea. It seems a little scattered at parts. There's a lot of run-on sentences. I'll give you a tip on those- if you can break it up into two sentences or more, you probably should do that. I do it too, but I'm trying to break the habit. Finally, it seems to jump views really quickly. You should probably put some sort of page breaker there, like a row asterisks. That might be more personal preference than anything though.
