Mimes' Literature Dump

Just what the title says. If I write something and like it, I'll stick it here because I can. I would like critisizm of the constructive kind, but I'm not really expecting it. T.T Mene is generally really...not big with the literature.

So, this is the beginning. :3

Lex, Lie and Noah, Part 1

((This the first part of a two part story I wrote about some of my OCs. Lexander and Noah belong to me, and Lie is a collab between myself and DeiDeiMella. The ending sucks, but I don't really care at this point. It's about three pages in word, this first part.))

~~~~~
Lexander sighed and smiled down at the infant fast asleep on his bare chest. It was staggering to think that just twenty-four hours ago Lex did not have a second child, and his heart was still split in two equal pieces instead of three. No; that wasn't right. The heart had grown bigger, accommodating little Noah, so sweet, precious, and sharing in the strange but intense love that flowed freely to Lex's small family. It wasn't until this second child that Lex truly realized how much he loved the rest of their bizarre little family; he felt worse than ever about Kiyoshi's childhood, though Kiyo himself didn't seem very bothered; he began to see that Lie was not just a 'thing' to pass time, but a invaluable partner and friend, and Lex certainly did not intend on living without him ever again.
What had started as a simple experiment, this relationship with Lie, had grown into so much more; Lexander no longer looked at the other man as a 'random boyfriend' or 'sex buddy'; he was now a life-long companion, and they were as close as any married couple could be. They had no secrets; there was no reason not to spill their hearts out to each other, and, at least for Lex, having someone to confide in was a new and incredible experience. They weren't embarrassed about anything, and each was fiercely loyal to the other. The one secret Lexander had kept to himself was how deathly afraid he was that this little child would break that relationship apart, rending the bonds Lex and Lie had so carefully built up from mutual disinterest to deep, strong love.
Then there was Kiyoshi, that poor child; Lex absolutely hated thinking about everything he had put his adopted son through. Kiyo had never blamed Lex for anything, and nor had he ever seemed particularly sad or upset about the terrible things that had happened to him. But Lexander knew, he could see through the boy's shell of happiness and strength; Kiyo was ashamed and angry, pissed at everything and everyone, except it seemed, for his father, Lexander. Kiyoshi loved the man with all his heart, and they were very close; closer, probably, then they should have been, and Lex had made a vow to himself never to do that to a child of his ever again.
Lexander was jerked out of his reverie by the infant on his chest, who chose that moment to pinch his nipple sharply between his chubby thumb and forefinger. Lex winced and gently pried open the child's death grip, rubbing his chest as he repositioned the baby. He heard a quiet laugh from the direction of his bed and looked up quickly, bringing his arms protectively around his son. But it was only Lie, sprawled shirtless on top of the sheets, smiling at his lover and his son, two thirds of his little family. Lex furrowed his eyebrows; he hadn't heard the man enter the room, and this worried him. What if Lie had been an intruder? Though quite confident in his fighting abilities, Lex couldn't be one hundred percent certain that the intruder wouldn't hurt Noah before Lex got to him. Lie obviously noticed the trepidation in his partner's face, though he misunderstood it.
"Don't worry sweets, I won't interrupt you." The demon deftly flicked a few strands of gleaming white hair out of his face as he spoke, and Lex melted in spite of himself. He smiled apologetically and stood up, placing little Noah on Lie's stomach instead. The baby whimpered and made a face, but was soon quieted as Lie pulled him close to his chest. "You're alright little one, don't start crying. I might have to eat you."
Lex smiled once again and took his place beside his love, wrapping one arm around Lie's shoulders.
"Don't talk that way, you'll traumatize him." Lexander didn't actually believe this; he was sure the child would be fine with each of his fathers' species, and would hopefully understand these comments as lighthearted jokes once he was old enough to understand them. Lie felt the same way, and so he continued his antics, making quite a show of gnawing on the child's belly until he screamed with uncontrollable laughter. Lex couldn't help but chuckle; he loved Noah's laugh, and the way he smiled with his bright eyes.
This thinking brought Lex to another thought, and he voiced it to Lie.
"I wonder what color his eyes will be. They haven't changed yet." Lie looked thoughtful for a minute then glanced over at Lexander.
"They'll probably change like yours." He smiled. "I hope they do, I always thought that was beautiful." Lie smiled and leaned into the kiss offered to him, ignoring the unhappy noise from Noah as he slid backwards, feet first, down his father's muscled stomach. Lie smiled and cupped his arms around the infant, placing him in the perfect baby-shaped depression between his and Lex's sides. Noah stuck his tiny thumb in his mouth and was asleep almost immediately, his thin chest rising and falling slowly under his parents' gaze.
Lie kept his eyes fixed on Lexander; he adored the look in the man's eyes whenever he looked at his children. It made Lie wonder if he was really an acceptable father, or if Lex was simply putting up with him for the time being? It was obvious that the man wanted some help with this child; he would have sent Lie away immediately if he hadn't. But Lie was still here, and Lexander still loved him, so for now he would assume the best and hope that things worked out well.
The pair sat for a long time, long enough that Lex drifted off, his head lolling onto Lie's shoulder. He was murmuring in his sleep, but Lie couldn't make out any words, and Lex didn't seem distraught, so he let the man rest. Little Noah was not happy however, and it took all of Lie's limited parenting skills to keep him quiet long enough for Lexander to wake up on his own. It took only a split second for Lex to see his partner's situation, and was alert immediately, taking Noah into his arms as he apologized profusely for falling asleep before feeding the baby. Lie shrugged off his request for forgiveness.
"Superman needs sleep, and you're just a common vampire. Don't beat yourself up." Lexander grinned at this and began preparing Noah's dinner. He was little miffed that Noah couldn't have real breast milk, but formula would have to do; Lex was not going out to find a suitable candidate for a breast milk provider, and neither of the men would consent to squirting dairy products out of their chest, especially if their child could get whatever nutrients he needed without it. So Noah got formula, and he never complained about it, something Lex loved about babies. They couldn't talk. But good Lord, could they scream.
Noah fell asleep again quickly, with a full belly and a contented expression on his pale face. Lexander laid him gently in the crib in adjacent to the messy, king-sized bed and lay down beside Lie, cuddling close to his partner. He enjoyed the warmth emanating from him; Lie, being a demon, had a much higher base body temperature than humans, so naturally Lex, who had a lower temperature than average, always took great pleasure in absorbing Lie's body heat into his freezing limbs. Lie smiled and turned his body just enough to wrap his arms around the slender man beside him. Under normal circumstances, Lex would not have approved of this; he was not keen on feeling like anything other than the 'man' of the relationship, and being held like this was not allowing him to fill that position. But he was cold and tired, and Lie was warm, so on this cold winter night, he let it slide just this once, and was soon sleeping serenely once more, this time staying quiet.
It took Lie much longer to fall asleep, as he was sorting through his thoughts, trying to clear his mind. This did not go well, so he focused his attention instead on the window directly in his line of vision. It began snowing at one point; Lie wasn't observing the weather very closely, and so didn't note the time, not that it would have mattered much anyway. But the fat, slow-falling flakes did help the demon get to sleep, his arms still wrapped affectionately around his slumbering partner. The snow continued to fall through the night, engulfing the world in a soft, white blanket, awaiting the morning; awaiting a new day of miracles and hope for men who have lost everything, and want nothing more than for that new dawn to come.
((Why did it stick together? D: I didn't want a story in the first post for a reason...))
Lex, Lie and Noah, Part 2
((This is the second part of the story. Once again I don't like the ending, but that's okay. Hmm... I've never actually had the whole thing together like this. I'll have to read it through.))
~~~~~

A soft cooing roused Lexander from sleep; it was a small sound, but Lex's ears were fine-tuned to all the little noises of his son. He sighed and blinked a few times, then gently ran one finger along the neck of the man beside him, who twitched and opened his eyes, glaring sleepily at the man wrapped in his arms. Lex chuckled and twisted out of Lie's grasp, fending off several pinches before finally making it off the bed. Little Noah was growing steadily louder, and Lex wasted no time in lifting the child from his crib and holding him close, patting the tiny back lightly. He then turned back to Lie, who was now fully alert and grinning.

"You look so good with that kid." Lex cast a withering glance in Lie's direction and began making Noah's breakfast.

"I know. I look amazing no matter what." Lex looked out the window and frowned; snow was definitely not what he wanted to deal with right now. It had almost seemed like spring for a few days… But spring was apparently a long way off, as proven by the foot and a half of white stuff blanketing the ground. "Ugg… I can't believe it snowed. I hate that…"

Lie smiled at his partner's frustration. Though he knew the snow genuinely annoyed Lexander, and he probably shouldn't be smiling, the expressions flashing across the man's face were simply too amusing to not crack a grin. He jumped off the bed quickly as a heavy coffee mug shattered on the headboard exactly where his head had been a few seconds earlier. Lie grinned once more.

"Touchy touchy, Lexy. You should learn to control yourself."

Lex glared icily at the demon and motioned pointedly at the shards of ceramic covering the bed. "Clean." It took no more to get Lie moving; mornings were not a good time to get on Lexander's nerves. Lie grumbled and set to work, ignoring the little cuts beginning to form on his hands as he did so. Lex, however, did notice, and it did not improve his mood. "God, never mind! Go wash your hands, I'll do it later."

Lie tilted his head slightly, confused by his partner's unusual behavior. It wasn't until he saw his own blood swirling its way down the sink that he understood; Lexander must be hungry. He almost slapped himself, wondering how he didn't notice this. It explained the irritability, the perpetual chill; how long had it been? Several days at least. Lie furrowed his eyebrows and walked back into the bedroom, glancing momentarily at Lex and Noah, who were both half asleep on the couch. Smiling now, he strolled into the kitchen, sorting through the fridge until he found a suitable breakfast. Microwaved meat was certainly not as good as fresh, but it would have to do until one of them could procure something better.

Lexander was asleep again when Lie reentered the bedroom. He looked quite comical; his head was flopped awkwardly on the arm of the sofa, and his hair, which was bright red and short today, was sticking up in random directions, looking as though he had been electrocuted recently. Lie knelt down beside the man, kissing his bare shoulder before whispering in his ear. Lex smiled groggily and opened one eye.

"I love it when you say my name like that." The wistful expression in Lex's eyes disappeared quickly as the man's nostrils flared. Lie chuckled and gently picked up the sleeping Noah, then plopped the still warm plate on Lex's stomach.

"Go at it. I'll change him, and get him dressed." Lexander nodded appreciatively and began eating with gusto. Lie watched for a few seconds, but was spurred into action by the rancid smell issuing from his son which, mixed with the basically raw meat, was forming a cloud of horrible stench right around his head. He cradled Noah gently against his chest and struggled to his feet; it was still early, and his joints didn't want to obey right away. He then made his way to the back room, talking quietly to the dozing child all the way.

Lexander watched him go, fighting back a moment of sheer misery that threatened to overwhelm him. Though he knew that Lie was simply taking care of their child, his subconscious mind was telling him over and over that all Noah was doing was getting in the way of his and Lie's relationship, and that soon neither of them would need Lex anymore, and they would leave him for their own ends, grieving for something that he could have prevented...

Lex grimaced and stood up, placing his now empty, bloodstained plate on the bedside table. Glancing around, he noticed the bits of ceramic still sprinkled over the bed and grabbed the nearest trashcan, desperate for something to do. The edges were sharp and Lex's hands were soon bleeding just like Lie's had, but he ignored it for the greater purpose of taking his mind off the irrational thoughts that lingered there. Some mornings were worse than others; this particular dawn was quite awful.

After disposing of the broken stoneware and washing off his hands, Lexander made his way to the back room, smiling as he saw Lie and Noah playing on the floor. Watching the man make a fool of himself like this would be very entertaining to anyone else, but to Lex it was the most noble and attractive thing he had ever seen Lie do, and he treasured little moments like this above all other things. Lex was a natural born father, no matter what he ate or what species he was born into.

Lie glanced upwards as Lex entered the room, curling one side of his lip up in a mockery of a smile. Lex tilted his head.

"What's wrong? You looked…worried." Lie shrugged and turned his attention to the baby, who was pulling tenaciously at the man's snow-white hair. Lie tenderly tugged the tiny fingers apart and rescued his hair, placing his finger in its place before looking back at his partner.

"I was just thinking. Nothing important."

Lexander frowned, but nodded and sat down; he knew not to press the issue. Lie did not take well to prying, and Lex knew that he would talk if he were truly concerned. At least, he was fairly sure; the demon could be rather… capricious at times.

As unpredictable as the man was, he wasn't a bad person, per se, not in Lex's eyes. The demon had his full confidence; they had a kid, after all. Parenting was certainly not all it was cracked up to be, but Lie took in stride, adapting and learning as best he could. This pleased Lexander, and, at least for the time being, he wanted no one else to help with the upbringing of his children. He couldn't help but wish that he had had someone like Lie around when he was raising Kiyoshi, but, unfortunately for both father and child, he had not had that luxury. But poor Kiyo was not a subject Lex liked to dwell on, so he pushed all his thoughts aside and focused on the man in front of him.

"Lie?"

"Hmm?"

"Do you love me?"

"Don't be stupid." Lie reached over and looped his arm around Lexander's waist, pulling the taller man to his side effortlessly. Lex flopped his head onto the demon's shoulder and closed his eyes.

"So you do." Lex phrased this as a statement, a little apprehensive to make it a question; he didn't want to know what Lie would say.

"Of course. Like I said, don't be stupid." The demon glanced down at Noah, who was attempting to pull himself along the floor using the thick carpet. Lie smiled. "I saw his eyes flicker this morning. They're gonna be like yours." Lexander slapped him.

"Why didn't you tell me? You promised you would as soon as you saw anything!" Lex pulled Noah away from the carpet and began studying his face, peering into the too-big eyes for any glimmer of color. Lie smirked.

"You're not gonna see anything, they haven't completely changed yet."

"I know that. I was just…checking." Lexander stopped scrutinizing his son's face and placed him back down, watching the tiny thing haul his slow way along the floor, an unhappy look in his now deep golden eyes.

"What's the matter, love?" Concerned, Lie wrapped one arm around Lex's shoulders, gently rubbing out several knots he found there. "You're really tense. Stressed?" Lex sighed and closed his eyes, enjoying the feeling of Lie's cool fingers on the back of his neck.

"I guess." He didn't elaborate, seeing no advantage in trying to sort out what he was thinking. Lie got the message and continued massaging the vampire's neck, whispering sweet nothings into his overly sensitive ears. Lex smiled contentedly and leaned back against Lie's chest, reveling in this rare moment of quiet, uninterrupted love.

Demon's Indulgence - Part 1

((I'm re-writing an old RP DeiDeiMella and I did. It's basically the story that goes with a few of our characters.
Teru ((the kid)) belongs and, in the original RP, was 'played' by DeiDeiMella.
Mitsukai is a collab between us and was played by yours truly.
And believe me when I say, this needed to be done. The original sucked. Maaajorly.))

~~~~~
Mitsukai landed gently and folded his enormous wings behind him, his roughed up boots leaving no trace of his presence other than two small dust clouds. The air was dry and crackly, tasting faintly of burned flesh and charred wood. The demon frowned, his eyes flitting around quickly, surveying the area, as his slightly pointed ears pricked up, causing his head to tilt slightly in one direction. Someone was alive. A small someone, a very weak someone, but a someone nonetheless. Misukai's scowl became more pronounced, and his thin eyebrows furrowed in irritation.
A light breeze began to blow around the demon, carrying with it cinders from the still burning city. They exploded against his cool skin, leaving small sooty marks where they landed. He struck an impressive figure; his flawless pale skin all but glowed in the distant firelight, obscured slightly by the waist length jet-black hair swirling around him, propelled by the growing wind. A tight fitting, well-worn brown leather vest showed the curves of his muscular chest and lean stomach, stopping an inch above his plain black pants. A tattered leather halter on his upper left arm held a large hunting knife, to be used in emergencies; otherwise, his arms were bare.
A grimace curled Mitsukai's upper lip as he began his search for the survivor. This was not work for him; he was so talented, so promising; and yet he was the government's dog. What was it that he had done? It was so very long ago… None of it mattered now, though a twinge of grief began to well up in the demon's chest as he thought of his banishment. 'A life for a life' was the saying…a life for a life, and expulsion for the saved, it seemed, in Mitsukai's case.
Slowly, the dark-haired demon made his way around the area he thought the smell was coming from. He got more annoyed every step; the ghastly odors wafting toward him from the burning city were messing with his scent perception, and throwing off his search. But even with these distractions, Mitsukai soon spotted a quivering lump on the dusty ground to his left. His eyes, smoldering darkly with irritation, narrowed as he approached the prone form. It looked like a young child, maybe thirteen or fourteen, with soot-stained blond hair and…a tail? A thin crease appeared between the demon's brows as he nudged the boy with his boot. The child groaned and curled the large tail around himself slowly.
After several minutes of watching the youngster, Mitsukai bent over him and gently flipped him onto his back, stepping away again quickly as he started coughing. The demon waited patiently for the fit to be over, then made his way back into the child's line of vision.
"You should be dead. Long dead." Mitsukai's voice was low and quiet, carrying with it years upon years of sorrow and guilt. His eyes were no longer glimmering; instead, a look of dull, hardened desperation lingered there, a remnant of a time long ago when desperation and need were the only things that kept him alive. He bent again, staring into the wide, startling blue eyes that followed his every move. The child said nothing, but his tongue did flick out from between his grimy lips nervously, retreating again when he tasted the soot around his mouth.
Mitsukai said nothing else, settling on simply watching the child, who stared right back, unperturbed by the demon's gaze. It seemed like an hour before the young one looked away and struggled to his hands and knees, then his feet, and began trying to walk away. Mitsukai rolled his eyes and stood, deftly catching the child as he tripped over his own feet. The demon slung the boy over his shoulders and spread his massive wings; it was time to go home. This child seemed out of the ordinary, and the old demon needed an escape from his monotonous life.
Mitsukai knew what returning to Hell would imply; he had broken the law and was a traitor, and would be executed. He had accepted this; he had recognized it long ago, and the only thing that had halted his return then was respect for his victorious dead. But those memories were dusty now, collecting dirt like a small child's toy, tucked away as he grew. No, death was not Mitsukai's worry now. He expected to be relieved of this life soon enough, and there was no better way to bring it about then breaking the law and making an interesting little friend in the process. The little one did not deserve to die, and, though Mitsukai knew it wasn't exactly his place to save the child, being the one that caused his problems in the first place, he refused to leave him out in the elements. Demons weren't terrible, just very misunderstood. Mitsukai chuckled to himself as he thought this; why not wallow in some self-pity and indulge a smidgen before death?
