What about giving previous winners a handycap or something? This way new comers won't be intimidated, but past winners will still be able to participate.

I was thinking like past participants get 1/2 points...
A couple days head start may have no affect on me whatsoever... it just depends on the days. Six point round robin participation would kill me... I'm not spontaneous like that. |
Well for round robin I was thinking more along the lines of 1-2 points per post. @[email protected] I mean even I can't write more then three posts per day in a round robin game... well not three GOOD posts at least. >>

Nah, it's okay. xD I was asking these type of questions when I first joined too. Okay how shall I put it. If you've posted them here on Menewsha a few weeks ago they're out of the picture. If you haven't posted them yet, then they're fair play. Cause unless you tell us, we don't know if the poem you have posted was written last night or three months ago. xD Of course the official call for your question goes to Jupiter. xD This is just what I assume *nods* |

Take my name out of it, and it's perfect :) Maybe replace it with "The Literature Forum's" - I don't want people to think this is an "official" contest, or anything like that, but I become less egocentric when things aren't named after me ;)
Anyway, I won't be around much over the next few days, but I did want to get the show on the road. Because of the lack of time, I think we'll just do what we did for the last contest (with the half points penalty for previous winners, as suggested). The contest will last until May 5th and the prizes will be next month's CIs (whatever they may be). |
