Diary Of the Gay Boy, Aiden.
Saturday 17 July
It was one of those nights where I woke up on the floor in Laura's room. Highly typical, as I suspect I have spent half of my life with her. Either she was at mine, or I was at hers. Then again, it may have been the fact I was trusted with her. That reason was quite specific: I was gay. Laura was one of those 'Anti-Gay' people, who never seemed to get the fact that I wasn't hers, and I'd never be hers. Laura yawned, arms poking out of her White and Red dotty 'Miss Sixty' duvet “Morning Aiden.” She said sleepily, sitting up and untangling herself from her covers. “Mornin’ Laur.” I commented, smiling as I rummaged through the draw I possessed in Laura’s house, trying to find the ‘The Ramsus’ tee I had found in the bottom of Laura’s closet Yesterday. Finally I located it, pulling out a pair of Laura’s black skinny jeans. “I hope you don’t mind.” I said, grinning as I walked off to her bathroom. “I don’t!” She called after me, her chuckled muffled by the sound of curtain’s opening on Bed’s being made. This made me smile, as I changed into my Top and Laura’s jeans. “Laura. Where’s the Eyeliner?” I called, poking my head out of the bathroom and watching her rummage through the draw in shorts and a White PJ top. “Catch!” She shouted to me, flinging her makeup bag at me. I caught it thanks to my long fingers and laughed, standing in front of her large mirror and finally locating the Eyeliner right at the bottom. After putting on a thin line at the bottom of each eye, I emerged out of the bathroom. “It’s all your’s princess.” I commented, smiling as she jumped up and walking to her bathroom. I laughed again, walking down into the kitchen. “Hey Aiden. Want a coffee?” Her Mom, Katie greeted my cheerfully, pouring me a mug of steaming black coffee. I grinned at her. “Thanks Katie.” I said, pecking her on the cheek before taking a sip of my Coffee. Katie was like a second Mom to me, it was great. Later, a while later, Laura emerged from the bathroom. After grabbing herself some ‘Special K ‘cereal, she sat at the table taking small bites off her spoon. I figured that if I didn’t take out a spoon and help here she’d be here forever. I rolled my eyes, figuring it would be best to sit this conversation out in silence. “Mummy!” It would only be Maxie, the sweetest but annoying four year old in the world, seriously no exaggeration. “Hi Aiden.” Maxie screeched, jumping u and down due to the fact he was going to a party later. ”Hey Maxie.” I replied, ruffling his hair. As normal, he stuck his tongue out and slapped his sister, like every morning. “Yeah, good morning to you to Maxie.” She commented, glaring at him. Scarlett burst through the door. “Mum! I’m so sorry, I fell asleep at my friends house.” She spoke fast, sweat beading her forehead. What a typical 19 Year old girl. I thought to myself, as me and Laura sharing a glance before saying bye, grabbing jackets and practically running out of the door. “There’s gonna be yelling.” We both said in Unison, and laughed all the way to the Bus stop. That was the trouble in living in a tiny village, it was an hour away from the City Center, which meant rare buses. Finally, a bright red double Decker pulled into view with the works E003: Nottingham City Center printed in large green letters. We smiled towards each other before paying our Fair and clambering the steep stairs to claim the front seats. We sat down, watching out of the front window, laughing and talking like normal people do. That is the glory of our Friendship, if we argue we come back to each other, we miss each other to much. That’s what you call a good friend, Laura. “Where’s the iPod?” She asked, watching as I pulled the white iPod out of my Pocket. “Today is my choice.” I declared, making her listen to ‘My Chemical Romance’ and ‘Muse’ all the way to town. The bus pulled into the Main stop, as we dinged the bell, and clambered off the Bus. There we were, stood in the middle of the City Center, trying to decide which shop to go in first. “Miss Selfridge.” She declared, leading me away to her favorite shop. Heaps of skinny jeans and cute dolly shoes. After a very long, boring look around, she came up with Grey skinny jeans, a pair of Black dolly shoes and a rather nice black head band. “Cute.” I commented as she paid for her expensive items. She just laughed, holding her bag before pouting as I dragged her into ‘Claries’. That’s another thing about me, I love the ‘Claries’ accessory shop. I could tell by her face that she fought back a laugh as I looked at things like figureless black and white gloves. With a small laugh, I ended up buying her yet another packet of Hair grips, and two lightweight scarves, on for her and one for me, On a ‘buy One Get One Free’ offer. “Thanks Aiden.” She commented. ”No problem dear.” ”What do you want to do now?” ”Lunch?” ”Eww. Aiden! It’s like 10 in the morning! Lunch! Get lost!” Her face was covered in mock disbelief and horror which made me laugh stupidly till she whacked my round the head with her Clothes bag. We ended up going into a few other random little City shops before catching the bus back. ”Stop over mine again.” She pestered, sipping her coke. ”Uh, sure.” I agreed, smiling as we showed the Bus driver their tickets and taking the front seats again. I watched her glowing stars and the twinkling Silver Glittery ones that tinkled as the glow lamp she slept with produced a soft glow. I came up with her room deign, cream walls with black silhouettes of me and her to the left wall, the way her bed was facing. On the right wall was posters, of every band anyone could think of, loads and loads of them. On the south wall was blank CD’s with Varies of Artist’s Name’s wrote in black ’Sharpie’ on the front. Then, to the North wall was her door; shell’s acting as a door curtain around her beige door. Then there was her ceiling painted a black with the stars. It was truly stunning, and then again, so was my Little Laura. Her light delicate snores were now soft background noises as her lullaby box continued to play its soft song and my eyes began to droop. Sunday 18th July Yes, well, another night at Laura’s house flew by, as I was awoke by Laura’s gentle touch on my shoulder. “Aiden. Aiden wake up.” She shook me again. “Huh? What Laura?” ”It’s like, 9 o’clock, what do you plan on doing today?” ”Good question. Hmm.” ”Lets call Sam, Jon, Claire and Demmie over here. We can play dares.” ”Ok.” I agreed pulling out another top and another set of her jeans as Laura skipped out, down the stairs and into the hall way towards the phone. Instead I showed my Clothes quickly on, and looped after her. |
So the gay boy picks someone "anti gay" to be his best friend, lets her assume he's her boyfriend, and they have frequent sleepovers that her parents OK because he's...gay.
It sounds a incredible, in that "impossible to believe" kind of way. Things are capitalized randomly, so you need to spell check and proof read, and break up your paragraphs more. Also, it's not reading like a diary at all, so I'd drop that whole angle. Diaries don't typically contain dialogue. Check out some blogs online and get a feel for it before you try writing in that format. It will help. |
