Reserch Paper Help - today only
 
I am writing a research paper on being a Fashion Designer.
I am not sure what all I can write about? What are good topics to include?
I have a little, but I need more for the paper.
Please suggest some topics I might research about being a fashion designer.
Edit: I am looking for a modern view, not a historical view.

You can research the different styles in fashion designing, do you want to do spring, winter, what? Also what's your view on fashion? What kinds of things do you like? What's the current view on fashion and how would becoming a fashion designer alter the views?

History of fashion.

Styles: What people used do wear back when and why.
  • For instance: Women's clothes were so thick and heavy that there would be padding in the underarm area of clothes to soak up the inevitable sweat. Men used to wear padding in the calf area of their stockings because it made them more attractive according to the style of the time. Corsets. Wigs. Bustles. Those big starched collar things from Elizabethan type eras.
Design: What materials are no longer used and why, what changes have been made in the way materials are used, who did the designing, did they also do the making, what roles did/does gender play in the past/present, etc.

You might talk about not only basic school needed to become a top designer, but also entry level jobs and how one might get their toe in the door of the industry.
