"But Auntie you promised me that you and Grandpa would take me with you next time you went to Namek." Pan pouted as Enzeru folded a shirt into her suitcase.

"I'm sorry dear, but we have some business to take care of and I'm afraid you would get hurt. You know I'd never forgive myself if something happened to you." Enzeru argued as she patted her grand niece's head.

"But I'm strong, I know you saw me in the last tournament. I can take care of myself." Pan pleaded as she gazed into the deep blue eyes of her friend and great aunt.

"I'm sorry, but no means no. I'll bring back something for you. Maybe they'll trade me one of their carved instruments." Enzeru smiled as she zipped her suitcase and fastened the clasp.

"I don't see what's so dangerous about mediating a peace treaty anyway." Pan yelled and left the room in a huff.

"Woah, watch out Pan." Goku said as Pan almost plowed into him.

"It's not fair." Pan said and continued on her way

"What happened to her?" Goku asked as he entered his half sister's room.

"I told her she couldn't come because it might get dangerous." Enzeru sighed and sat down on her bed. "Perhaps that's why I don't have kids. I'm just no good with them." Enzeru took the hair tie off her arm and put her sleek black blue hair in a pony tail.

"That's not true. You and the boys have always had fun together. Pan's probably just a little upset. She'll get over it in no time." Goku replied with a grin.

"I hope so." Enzeru said as she looked at her watch. "It's time we got going."

"I guess it is, after all, Vegeta and Bulma don't wait for anyone." Goku laughed.

The duo said goodbye to the rest of the family and started their flight to the capsule corp headquarters.

"I'm so glad you taught me how to fly, it's much faster than a hover board." Enzeru spun around in the air and then picked up speed again.

"I don't know how I was ever able to do anything without knowing how, myself." Goku replied as he picked up speed.

Within minutes their destination was in sight. They could barely make out a blue haired woman waving her arms wildly.

"Hey Bulma!" Enzeru yelled as she landed.

"Enzeru! You won't believe what I've been working on." Bulma beamed.

"Oh? Is it a new guiding system? Autopilot upgrade? New ship colors?" Enzeru, being a fellow scientist of sorts respected Bulma's work and found it interesting. As an archaeologist she wondered what would happened if people years ago could see the things she had seen.

"Where's Vegeta?" Gokua asked as he looked around for his friendly rival.

"Can you believe that man has done nothing but train, eat, and sleep the past two weeks? I swear he's crazy some times." Bulma smiled when she said this.

Enzeru giggled, "Well, at least he's on the same planet as you."

"I know," Bulma giggled as well. "Before I forget again, there is a new autopilot system and I've upgraded the boosters and outer hull to increase our speed by at least a half day."

"Wonderful," Enzeru began, "That will get us there faster."

"You can't hide it you know." Bulma said with a sly grin.

"Hide what?" Enzeru used her most innocent tone.

"You're worried about a certain person aren't you?" Bulma giggled.

"What? Me? No. He can take care of himself. I mean, emm," Enzeru turned bright red and faced away from Bulma.

"It was far too obvious when he left."

"Was it really?"

"Yeah, you were moping around for a week."

"I see. I hope no one else knows. It's not yet time to tell anyone yet."

Bulma giggled, "Just tell him already. I've never been shy around a guy."

Enzeru laughed, "I know. Too bad I'm not that brave."

The two women laughed as they walked behind the main building to where the ship was.

"How much luggage do we have this time?" Enzeru said as she looked around.

"I already have mine and Vegeta's stuff loaded. Where's your bags?" Bulma asked as she looked around.

"We have two suitcases. On my way out ChiChi had to sneak Goku's in a dino cap so he wouldn't insist on leaving it behind." Enzeru shook her head and climbed into the ship.

Enzeru stored her suitcase and the dino cap containing Goku's stuff into a closet and took a seat.

"Knock knock, is this an all girls' party or can we join?" Goku asked as he climbed into the ship followed by Vegeta.

"I could have trained for at least three more minutes." Vegeta complained.

"We need to get going now though so you'll have to shower in the ship." Bulma pointed him in the direction of the on ship bathroom.

"Shouldn't we all strap into our seats first?" Enzeru asked.

"I think I have perfected the prototype to prevent us from needing to do that." Bulma said as she sat down and started flipping switches.

"Hey, bro, close the door." Enzeru told Goku as she took a seat by Bulma.

Goku closed the door and Bulma pushed a button.

Enzeru felt relatively useless on this outing. She knew nothing of the people involved, she wasn't nearly strong enough to fight if things got out of hand, and she had a weakness that was sure to get her in deep water if anyone found out and used it against her.

"Well, this is it then. We'll have a day to prepare ourselves for this. I installed a communication device so we can talk to people on Earth and on Namek." Bulma said as she kicked her feet up.

"You mean we can talk to people on Namek now too, that's cool." Goku laughed as he started stretching.

"I thought you got all your training done at home, bro." Enzeru said as she raised an eyebrow in warning.

"Don't worry, I won't break anything, promise." He threw a couple punches.

"No sparing until we get where we're going, just to be safe." Bulma ordered.

"Well, Vegeta's going to be a while in the shower anyway. I doubt they'll have much time to fight," Enzeru joked.

"You've got that right." Bulma replied as she glanced at the bathroom door as steam escaped from under it.

Enzeru noticed the look on her face, "I think the hot showers are a sayan thing. I usually don't use the cold water at all."

"How do you keep from burning yourself?" Bulma asked in a worried tone.

"It doesn't burn me. I think I have thick skin or something." Enzeru smirked.

"I think you're right on this one sis, about hot showers being a sayan thing." Goku began, "Chichi can't even come in the room when I'm taking a shower without having to leave right away but the boys don't seem to mind it."

While the three of them let the thought of Chichi running into a wall of hot steam sink in they heard a yell from the bathroom, "Holy shit that's cold."

Everyone laughed as Vegeta ran out of the bathroom with a towel. "Who flushed the toilet?" He yelled.

Everyone stopped laughing and Bulma stood up, "We don't have as big a water heater here as we do back home." She ushered him into the bathroom, "Get some clothes on next time." She dried her hands on her shirt and sat down again.

"That was hilarious," Enzeru snickered.

"Be glad he doesn't have Namekian hearing," Bulma giggled.

"Why?" Goku said at a normal tone of voice where the ladies had been whispering.

"He'd be a bother the whole way there if he heard us," Enzeru hushed Goku.

"Alright, I'm dressed, happy now?" Vegeta stalked out of the bathroom and sat down in a corner chair.

"Don't you want to join us over here?" Bulma asked.

"No. I'd rather not." Vegeta replied.

Enzeru glanced at the control panel and tilted her head as she usually did when she was curious, "Why is that light blinking?"

"That would be a call from Namek," Bulma replied as she turned a nob.

Piccolo appeared on the drop down screen, "Are you on your way?"

"Yes, we are. Goku and Vegeta are both here." Bulma replied.

Enzeru approached the camera that would display her on his side of the connection, "I decided to come along as well."

"You were not supposed to come, this is going to be too dangerous. You'll have to turn around and take her back Bulma." Piccolo said as he was trying to not totally freak out.

"Hey there,"Goku butted in before another argument could start between his sister and green friend, "How's it going?"

"Not so good, take your sister back to Earth." Piccolo had a bit of an annoyed tone.

"I've been training too you know, and I'm not a child. If you didn't notice I'm older than you are." Enzeru stuck out her tongue and turned away from the screen.

"I guess we're not going back. Once she makes up her mind that's it, no turning back." Goku laughed.

"I agree with Goku on this one, there's no need to turn back." Bulma smiled as Vegeta came to join them.

"She's much stronger than when you last saw her. Perhaps she can beat you now. That would be a sight." Vegeta smirked.

"Fine, you win. But if things get too dangerous you are not going to stick around." Piccolo said, defeated.

Enzeru turned around and nodded sternly, "But remember, my instincts will not allow me to run away. I am a half sayan after all."

"We can continue this conversation later, they need my help with something," Piccolo said before the monitor winked out.

"Well, once again your stubbornness saves us from a longer trip," Vegeta said as he returned to his seat.

"I don't give up when I want something, never have," Enzeru replied as she glared at Vegeta for the comment.

"Now that we've settled that we need to get some shut eye. When we wake up we should be entering orbit." Bulma said as she checked the settings on the ship.

"I think one of us should stay up and keep an eye on things." Goku replied as he looked out the window into space.

"I'll do it," Enzeru volunteered, "If we run into anyone it will give me a chance to work on my diplomatic skills."

Vegeta raised an eyebrow and Goku laughed.

"What?" Enzeru asked as she turned her head to the side.

"They're being silly boys. We're going to go get some sleep." Bulma said as she grabbed Vegeta's hand and pulled him into one of the bunk rooms.

"I'm going to get some sleep too. If you need me wake me up, sis." Goku said as he disappeared into another of the rooms.

This left Enzeru alone and in command.

Enzeru sat in the captain's chair as she looked out at the vast expanse of space. It was a wonder they could pinpoint any one planet out here. Enzeru shrugged off the thought and checked the pressure readings and the radar.

At first she didn't notice it but when she blinked she saw it, a small ship was heading for them very slowly. Enzeru took out the telescope and wondered if Bulma would ever find a new way to see things like this.

The ship looked damaged and seemed to barely be stabilized. It didn't look large enough to really be a ship, though. Perhaps it was a large escape pod. Enzeru turned on the radio and attempted to catch a signal. There, faintly, someone was asking for help.

Enzeru smiled and grabbed the controls. The robotic arms were a recent addition and might prove useful. She moved the arms into place as she pod came near and she pulled it in close to the ship's entryway and ran into the next room to wake her brother.

"Goku! I just caught an escape pod, someone's inside. I need you to come man the environmental station while I check on the people inside the pod." Enzeru said as Goku yawned and sat up.

"You're crazy and I'm dreaming, good night." He tried to fall back onto the bed but Enzeru stuck her foot in the way and he sat up quickly.

"Hey that hurt. Someone's in trouble and we need to help them," Enzeru chided.

"Really? What's happening?" Goku asked as he jumped out of bed.

"I caught a pod with the robotic arms and someone is inside." Enzeru said as she left the room in a hurry.

"I'll go out and get them. You try to contact them and keep an eye on the readings." Goku replied.
