Greetings from Asemo!
I will use this thread to post some of my recent poetry.
Looking for a little feedback for them.
So comments and speculations on the meaning of the content is quite welcome.
Don't be shy, I will gladly return feedback on any of your poems also! :)
The first poem I present to you is called: "The Whole Youth."
Please enjoy!

The Whole Youth
I no longer look in the mirror, a part of me believes it shows the twisted side of life, of rogue thoughts, rogue feelings and rogue looks.
Under the fluorescent lights I can see my definition, a face that looks pale, with deep shadows under the eyes and crinkles, where a smile used to be.
A face of growing up…
I can cover the mirror but I know my reflection is still the same, gaunt and tired, like a person without a purpose.
Does age treat us so harshly?
Like a landslide, thundering and tumbling, down a mountain of youth, at the end is the final destination, for baby faces and smooth taut skin.
A destination of old age…
Down the path of time, after everything is at peace, I uncover the mirror with trembling hands and gaze at a reflection so vivid, yet it looks like a dream.
There are wrinkles, yet accompanied by a smile, deep shadows, accompanied by shining eyes.
And a look of reminisce, of a wonderful life.

Poet's commentary: This is one of my older works, it needs a little bit of a tune up, but I'm rather proud of it nonetheless. It explores the horrors of aging but shows that it should be regarded as beautiful as age is sculpted through our previous experiences in life.
