this is the day that begins everyday from here this is the day we whisper our secrets in each other's ear this is the day we fall and fall again to worship for promise and forgotten friend this is the way we dance away the night this is the way we touch hands and passion ignites this is the way our breathing's in time soft and moist against the cheek of a rhyme this is your hand against my breast feeling my heartbeat as you lay me to rest this is your skin when caressed against mine this is the sky grazing the length of your spine this is the words of wisdom lost in the breeze this is the kiss that spreads your disease this is the promise that shakily stands, broken this is my outburst, with rage outspoken this is the way we'll promise to keep this is the way we'll fall and leave sleep this is the way i'll tremble beneath your eyes and your words, like diamonds, will quiver and rise this is the day we step against the path stones this is the day we'll dig and bury our bones this is the day and we'll name it our last this is the way that we're unsurpassed. |
