This is a poem I wrote about all the things that have happened to me and my friends over the course of our senior year as kind of a graduation present. I was hoping to run it by some people before I actually give it to them, which won't be for another couple of months anyway. Comments are very welcome!

For times we laughed
and times we cried,
For times we thought we'd probably die.
I give my thanks for you, my friends;
You made high school fun to the very end.
Through band trips and calculus we made our way
Economics we survived (we were glad that last day.)
In English and Musical we had lots of fun,
But that time is over, those days are done.

This is the end of these high school days.
Now we must all go our own separate ways.
Some off to college, some on a mission,
some of to work, with a different vision.
We'll meet again, of that I'm sure
Of course, we'll all do more than endure.
Just do me a favor, and never forget
These high school days and the people you met.

So no more pencils, no more books,
No more teachers' dirty looks.
Oh yeah, that's right, we still have college.
Oh, well. I guess that's the price for knowledge.
