I've seen alot of poets around here, and lots of poetry along with it. Everyone has different types of creativity - and motivation and inspiration that goes along with it.And I'm just curious, what motivates and inspires all of you guys with your poetry?

social issues, God and the books I read mostly. I like to write something that will move people to think outside the box, something that really has a message.

Usually I end up writing while I'm in church, trying desperately not to out myself. And when my parents are talking, for the same reason. It's sort of a stress relief thing. I'm also sometimes inspired to write by my lovely girlfriend.
