Still-Life Valentine [anyone? =/]
Alright, anxiety is seeing fit to keep me awake. And when I have insomnia, I write. Looking for an opinion or two on this latest, piece, so have at it. They seem to like it over on deviantart, but I wouldn't mind a bigger audience than the few glances I get over there, in all honesty. XD;

"Still, there's ambiance and ignorance," The straps are dipping down "There's quintessential appetence, for he who wears the crown." "Why a man is not a man at all," she kneels down on the bed Nor a woman as she said Without conviction narrowing, to shoot the scholar dead." "Alas, we are a dying breed," his wary hands upon her thighs "Of literates and good hearted beasts, so I philosophize." "And you my love," pursed lips, her figure in his eye "Still but crave the flesh, as I lay you down to die." Har, that's the beauty of poetry. It can be about whatever you wish or think.
For me I suppose it was about life and relationships never really being what they're cracked up to be in television, books, movies. What we're told growing up and what it's like as a grown up. I'm interested in other people's takes on my piece. :] |
You're missing a quote mark somewhere in this section

At first glance (as in when I read the first line) I dismissed it as something trashy and expected it to be something wholly different then it was, but you won me over at compromise and consequence! *laughs* I take it as a statement on love being something everyone claims to know, but really doesn't. It's a mystery that's never quite what you think it is, and though many think they understand the parts, it's the whole that escapes them. |
