A monkey sitting,
caught between his head and tail.
Which way should he go?

3 am,
the world is empty.
those who still walk the streets
are streetlamp ghosts.
the night is the realm of those forgotten.

3/14/08 - Spring

The warm breath of spring
caresses winter ravaged skin
whispers promises of lazy summer days.

3/14/08 - Cigarettes and Coffee

Cigarettes and coffee,
I've had my share of both.
In a midnight diner,
open 24 hours...
on a desolate stretch of road,
the taste of bitter brew,
the smell of smoke my only friends.
