^^; So... I do like to write poems from time to time. Most of these are because of relationship issues (fights suck, y'know...) ^^;; I am in no way a "sad" person (rather happy, thank you) despite the melancholy tone portrayed in my poetry. Anywho... enough blabber. Onwards! Lets boogie!

-The Bird of Paradise-
It was a grim and gloomy night
In front of her computer sat she
Longing for her loved one
But far off was he.

Not just in distance that night,
But in feelings too.
"Why can't you see," cried she,
"That all I need is you?"

Her cry seemed to fall on deaf ears
His heart felt to her like stone
Blood seemed as mascara on her cheeks
For she cried all night, all alone.

His message was short and crude,
"Go away and leave me be!"
Her heart shattered like glass
And still she sang, only for he.

"Why is it that I don't matter?
I give you all I can--
Is it that I'm not good enough?
Is that why you'll never be my man?"

"Its not that-- I'm just angry," Said he,
"Now go away and leave me be."
She looked to him, tears still in her eyes,
then asked, "Should that be permanently?"

"Please choose wisely," warned she,
"The bird of paradise sings for only one,
and if that cry recieves no answer
the bird dies and forever its song is gone."

He thought it over, the spake quick,
"No, just now-- its temporary,
You know how this works-- I'm angry now,
But by tomorrow, fine I'll be."

She nodded once then said
While sighing solemly,
"That is you, but not I;
Tomorrow, I may not be."

With that she left, for late it was
And on her pillow, all alone she was crying,
While deep inside, though she hid it well,
Her heart was quickly dying.

* May add more if this one is liked/responded to. I have a ton. xDD This one is just... my favorite, as it made a teacher cry when I handed it in.. (what a freak xD)
