This is the only poem I ever did that rhymed and had a form and I wrote it a few years ago. I went to a poetry reading today for extra credit and kinda re-wrote/re-worked this one for more credit.
Storm in a Teacup
There once was a girl who lived in a shell
She thought she was alone, all by herself.
That's where she was born, and that's where she'll stay
Until the tide comes to take her away.
She knew every detail of her teeny little world
Like the back of her hand or how her hair would curl.
Of all these things here's what she didn't know
We're all in our own shells riding the ebb and the flow.
*curtsy* What do y'all think?
