xD No no. Not your fault. It's just I focus on this thread so much that I don't work on anything but this thread when I have another chapter on ff.net that I'm -suppose- to be writing. (Ah the reviewers can wait another month right?) xD Yeah I suppose I forced it too much and now I'm suffering from writer's block *sigh*

Warning/Special Notes: The characters in this story will probably never meet.

The darkness of the night clung like glue, filling up rooms, soaking it in its essences. It was a cloudy moonless night. Shadows reign supreme. Kuro Kage used this to his advantage. It would be the prefect night to take his target. Darting into the shadows, Kuro arrived at the safe in the wall were the gem was supposed to have been kept.

Almost gleefully he began to work his magic. But before he could even touch the dial, he froze as he hear a click of a safety of a gun and a metal barrel press against his head. "Don't move," an icy female voice rang.

Kuro couldn't see his hunter in the shadows. Suddenly he didn't regret sending a notice to the police. There was a rumor that this gem has a guard, but in the month he had been watching this place, he never once saw one. All he knew was there if there was a guard, they were skilled with their guns. Kuro didn't expect her to be so good however. That wasn't what scared Kuro the most though.

It was the scent of Death and blood that cling to her. It was the same way the shadows clinged to him. "What do you want?"

Kuro answered honestly. "For the jewel Black Angel."

Suddenly the girl behind him laughed. It startled Kuro. "There is no jewel here by that name because I'm Black Angel."

Kuro's eyes widen in shock, his poker face slipping. The girl, Black Angel, continued. "Leave Kuro Kage. It be best that you never returned to here. I might just kill you next time around." As silently as she came, she slipped back into the shadows.

Kuro turned around. It was worth the risk anymore. He faded into the shadows and disappeared into the night.

“Seika, Sai, Today the two of you will be playing Dash.”

Seika and Sai looked at their grandmother. “Dash? What’s Dash,” asked Seika.

Yumi smiled. “Glad you asked Seika. It’s a game of tag basically.”

Seika let out a sigh. She could already foresee her lost. “But the object of the game is not to win,” said Yumi. She held up a ball. “You must keep giving back the ball to your opponent. The person whom still has the ball at the end of an hour’s time, will be doing the dishes tonight. That is how we play Dash.”

Yumi tossed the ball to Sai. “You start Sai.”

Sai turned to shove the ball into Seika’s hands only to find his cousin already dashing away.

“Oi!” said Sai, running after her. He caught up to her. Just as he was about to toss it into her arms, Seika vanish. Sai growled. Had this been a simple game of keep away, he would have won, being stronger then Seika. But now it was more like hide and go seek, something (the only thing) that Seika was excelled at better then him. Sai dashed around looking for Seika. He couldn’t find her anywhere.

Finally his grandmother’s whistle sounded in the air. Sai grumbled as he walked back. He couldn’t believe he lost in Dash.

“Where’s Seika?” asked Yumi

Sai shrugged. How was he supposed to know? “ She’ll come out sooner or later obaasan. She’s probably playing it safe.”

Yumi smiled. Caution as ever, Seika was. She probably wanted to wait to make sure she had won.

They walked back into the house to find a surprise. Seika was in the kitchen watching TV. Sai’s eyes widen. “What are you doing in here? You’re suppose to be outside playing Dash with me but you were in here?”

Seika grinned. “I was and I dashed inside where you would never find me. Obaasan didn’t say there were any boundaries.”

Yumi chuckled. That was true. Sai fumed. He hated the game of Dash.

When you are a child, you’re taught the difference between right and wrong. However there are some people in this world, who twist that meaning for children. So what society views as “right” suddenly becomes wrong for the child and what society views as “wrong” becomes right for the child.

I suppose that’s how I started on my path of sin and why I was so screwed up to begin with. From what little I remember, I knew that I use to be a normal child who believed that the world’s black and white system of right and wrong. My “master” changed that. Suddenly everything I knew, became backwards and twisted. He even corrupted my little sister into walking this path.

Under –his- influence, I thought for the longest time I was bettering the world. Purifying it from the scum that plagued it, ignoring that little voice that whispered in my head. However from society’s point of view, I was nothing more then a killer. A child who’s hands were soaked in blood.

My path of sin was littered with lies, deceit, and corpses. It was covered in blood. When I realized that, I saw no redemption for myself.

Then he came along. My life turned upside down once more. Without him knowing it, he showed me a different path. In some ways it was still a path of sin, but it was slightly different from the black and white one I walked. This path was gray.

I knew then that I wasn’t going to let my master corrupt him. I was going to bring a stop to this madness. The end goal was still the same, but getting there makes all the difference. Who cares if society doesn’t want me and the rest of the world wants me dead. Even if I must kill again and again, I’ll get there. After all, if I’m going to walk on the path of sins, I might as well do it my way.

A magician was a master of illusions. He had to always remain calm and in control even when a trick goes horribly wrong.

A phantom thief was also a master of illusions. To make the impossible happen and keep the police guessing, a phantom thief was always in control.

Kait was a master of illusions, of course. It came with his night job and hobby. Everyone in school believed that Kait was very laid back, happy go lucky guy who would protect his friends no matter what. Randomly he’ll show off a magic trick to annoy Drake and cheer up Hikage. No one, not even Drake could make the connection that he was really Kuro Kage.

Well, except for maybe one person.

Despite being a master of illusions, there was one person he could never fool. That was Hikage. His best friend just seemed to see through everything. His illusions never worked on her and in some parts f his heart, Kait was extremely glad. For her, Kait tries hard not to lie to her. Hikage is so grail in so many ways. He would hate to lose her because he was caught up in his illusions of deceit. While he never told Hikage that he was Kuro Kage, he would never lie to her if she ever asked.

Warning/Special Note: I don't... really like this drabble. >> But I'm not sure how to fix it... in fact I don't think I like the next drabble either.

Seika took a deep breath and closed her eyes. All she was focusing on was the sound as the leaves fell and fluttered to the ground. Autumn was an excellent time for target practice. The falling red and yellow leaves were prefect targets.

She flicked her wrist as needles fell loosely into her hands. From here the training would begin.

-whoosh-

Needles flew piercing the falling leaves dead center. Soon the area’s trees were covered in leaves with needles sticking out of them.

Seika open her eyes. She felt pretty satisfied with her results. Not a single leaf had fallen to the ground since she had started.

Clapping broke the peace. Seika turned her head around to see Ita standing there. “You’ve gotten better, Seika,” he congratulated.

“You like to watch me don’t you,” Seika accused, catching a falling leaf in her hands.

“Well technically I am your teacher. It would be unbecoming of me if I didn’t,” Ita said with a wink.

Seika let out a sigh. Really, she didn’t know what she was going to do with this idiot that she called teacher, friend and maybe even lover. The only thing she knew for sure, was the man knew how to infuriate her and make her weak at the knees at the same time. She muttered to herself about the insanity of love.

The wind howled, breaking her concentration. The leaves fell faster to ground. Seika looked up she really loved autumn. “Ready to go?” asked Ita.

Seika smiled this time.. “Sure.”

Twice you asked me who I was, and twice I found myself falling in love with you. Four times I was kidnapped and –chuckles- five times you were. Three times we were locked together in a room or closet and twice we accidentally kissed.

Twice well no more then twice, I had thought I had lost you or that you had left me behind. Twice you smiled at me four times in one day and ten times you blew up twice in one day at Kisei. Twice you held me tightly but only once did you let me into your heart. Twenty times you took me somewhere special, and fourteen times you broke my fans. I remember yelling at you twice every hour and sulking at you all day. You apologized endlessly those days.

Twice I had you that I love you… but not once have you given me an answer.

-Knock, Knock-

Seika opened the door to see no one around. Sweet sounding chirping reached her ears as Seika looked down. There on her doorstep was a birdcage with a nightingale.

Seika gently picked up the cage. “Who left you here, little one?” she asked. As the bird chirped back, Seika had a vague suspicion who it was. Not many knew that the nightingale was her favorite bird. She would confirm her suspicion later.

The nightingale sang as Seika took out some crackers to feed it. Seika smiled. She really loved the nightingale. They were such beautiful birds.

“Sing sweet nightingale, sing sweet nightingale,” Seika hummed to the little bird. She barely knew the words only the tune. Her mother would sing it to her when she was child. “Sing sweet nightingale.”

Sitting outside under the open windowsill, Ita let out a soft sigh before smiling. It was risky getting Seika a nightingale since Seika’s reactions are hard to figure out. She would have either loved it or hated it completely. But it was well worth it. It wasn’t often that he got to hear her sing after all.

Yumi’s desires are that her family be safe and happy. She wants to live a life full of kindness and happiness. Yumi believes everyone deserves happiness in life, especially Seika who needs it.

Yuu’s desires are for a prefect heir, a prefect student. He wants the family traditions and name to live on. Only (as most as his family views it) he is going about it the wrong way.

Sai’s desires power. He will inherit the family name and fortune and his cousin will not stop him.

Ita desires Seika to be happy and he dreams of killing a certain grandfather of hers. But Seika knows that there is more that Ita desires. She just isn’t sure exactly what it is. Seika wonders if eve Ita truly understand what he wants.

Seika feels that she doesn’t desire much. Just to live to see the sunrise and the sun set everyday. She doesn’t want the family name or fortune. If she could, she would have give it to Sai without any questions asked. But her grandfather desires won’t let her do that. She tried to fulfill her grandmother’s and Ita’s wishes about her happiness but Sai and her grandfather make it very difficult. They make her quite miserable her cousin and grandfather. Seika figures that desires are quite troublesome in many ways. She’s not sure what she desires when it comes to Ita, but for now, Seika thinks she’s quite content. She doesn’t need to desire anything right now. All she wants is to live each day and enjoy life to its fullest.

There was a point in my life where I was sure my soul was warm. Emotions that make your soul warm are foreign to me now: love, happiness, and kindness. I was pretty sure I knew them at one point. Now… my soul is ice cold. I’m surprised I even remember how to smile.

Somewhere along the way my course of life, I became distant and cold. I guess with ever person I killed, I lost a piece of myself. The brainwashing didn’t help either.

-Frozen inside-

However, he turned everything upside. He, haha, Asho is truly a puzzle. This simple person destroyed everything I knew and as he did, he saved me from my own destruction. The warmness of his soul, thawed the ice that surrounded mines.

He knows it well. More then often, he has taken advantage of my craving for warm, comfort and affection. Which would currently explain why on earth we’re at a carnival of all places. Heh, he’s determined to melt the ice. I think he’s getting to know me a little too well.

Damn… Company.

I guess one quite day were we weren’t attacked was out of the question. As I grab his hand, I felt how warm it was. I smiled to myself for once. They could chase us to the ends of the earth, but as long as Asho’s soul was warm as his hand, I wouldn’t let anyone catch us. This warm soul was my guiding light.

Ryker stopped his car when he saw Asho standing alone on the bridge. He ran over to his old friend. “Hey Asho!”

Asho paled, thinking he had heard a ghost. He ignored it. ‘Ryker was dead. Now was not the time to dwell on that,’ he thought to himself. Or at least he did until he felt a hard slap him on the back. He turned to see Ryker standing next to him. “What man? Didn’t hear me call you?” Ryker joked as Asho gapped.

“You’re alive?” asked Asho. Disbelief filled him.

“Of course you idiot. Didn’t anyone tell you? I got a huge job offer in California. This was the first time I could come back,” said Ryker. “So what are you doing here?”

Asho stared. There was so much to say, so much to ask, but before he could form the words of the question, he realized it was pointless to try. “Just waiting,” he finally answered.

Ryker nudged him. “A date?”

Asho smiled remembering how Ryker would always tease about being dateless all the time. “Nah, just waiting.”

‘Dateless again,’ Ryker thought to him. ‘Asho never changed.’ “So what have you been up to all this time?”

Asho didn’t know how to answer that. Obviously Ryker didn’t anything. Asho opened to mouth to answer when was interrupted.

“Did I keep you waiting?”

Ryker and Asho turned around to see black standing a few feet away. Ryker’s hand went straight towards his gun. “Tam!” he shouted, remembering exactly who the girl was. Before he even got his gun free, black pointed hers at Ryker’s face.

“Don’t try. And my name isn’t Tam, Detective… ah no Chief of Police now.”

Ryker’s hand slowly dropped, careful not to make any sudden movements. How did she know that he was now chief of police?

Blacked turned to walk away. Asho moved to follow her when Ryker grabbed his arm. “Asho what are you doing?”

Asho freed himself. “Just wait Ryker. You’ll understand one day.” He left, following Black into the darkness of the night, leaving his friend behind.

Ita took a deep breath and mentally prepared himself. ‘Calm down, you can do this. You can do this. It’ll be simple. Just walk in, find what you want, and walk out. You can do this.’ Finally ready, he took a step into the store and into his worst nightmare. Two hours later he stumbled out of the store gasping for air. His face was a brilliant scarlet red color. He vowed never to go back into that store by himself again. Never, this gift better be worth it.

The next day it was Seika’s birthday. Ita fidgeted as she opened the gift. Hopefully she would like it and not get mad at him.

-Wham-

‘She got mad’ Ita thought, rubbing his new sore bump on his head. Seika was blushing furiously.

“Ita. Next time don’t get my lingerie,” she said as seriously as she could while trying to cover up the blood red lacey lingerie. She was all flustered. Really what was Ita thinking? Her pale face getting redder by the minute.

Ita grinned at her. “But I bet you’ll look realy cute in that.” It was totally worth going into that goddamn store. Seika was so adorable when she all flustered like that.

-Slap-

Ita winced and rubbed the red area on his cheek. He took it back. It wasn’t worth it if Seika was mad at him. That was the last time he asked that girl with glasses on what a girl would want for her birthday.

Playing Xenosaga has given me some new ideas. Well hmm... I don't know if I particularly like the idea of the story, but at least I do get a nice new race. Ummm what are they called... Gnosis? from Xenosaga, they can past through walls and no one can hurt them until you bring them from their world to our "real world"

So yeah... normally I mimic and copy and modify so... I was thinking of creating a race like that. I guess... I want ghost? but not ghost.

I like the whole can appear anywhere in space (stuff like walls don't stop them) and the whole it's hard to hurt them?

Not so much magic... more like a genetic inheritance. *nods* yeah~ xD I like creating new races~ ^^

So I present fanfic idea 1!

We have have one pair of silbings (one boy, one girl) and our tragic hero, a guy!

xD Basically the idea goes the guy is in love with both the sister and the brother. Can't figure out why. One of my favorite parts of this idea is the whole "Who did I fall in love with first? Did I fall in love with the brother and then force my love on the sister because it's normal for a guy to love a girl and not to love a guy? Or did I fall in love with the sister but got my feelings confused with brother? AH!!"

As for whole the hero ends up with... well I guess it depends on which characters I use. I mean if it was like something Naruto and Sakura were siblings (in some off AU universe) and Sasuke was the hero, then obviously my sasunaru is gonna win. but if it was say my original characters then it's a possiblity that the girl and guy will end up together.

Or I go with the total yaoi version and just say it's three guys and have our hero confused over which brother he fell in love with first. Hehe which would make a great ItachixNarutoxSasuke fanfic... which I would never write, but hey maybe there's a writer out there who will! xD

Hotaru was lost in thought. Today... had been a strange day. Actually the past few weeks had been one confusing adventure. She had come face to face with Aieron no... Kai again. She didn't even seek him out... and for him to just appear in her life again was just a miracle. She even found out that that his wind magic had manifested and that he was beginning to remember her.

He had a long ways to go... but he was remembering her. That alone made her blush.

But today... today had been filled with understanding, hope and love. Hotaru smiled to herself. She couldn't really remember the last time she felt that so warmly. She couldn't recall the last time mortals tried to understand.

They... Kai's family and her current "foster" one had found out today. About Kai, and about her wings. Hotaru's smile faded a little. Normally she received rejection. Who wouldn't? It was shocking to be told that the Angel of Life and Death was sitting in your living room. But today she received understanding. In someways she assumed that it was because Kai had always had his wind magic when he was young, that these mortals grew up expecting the unusual.

'Still it was nice to be welcome again,' Hotaru thought with a smile.
