So I present fanfic idea 1!
We have have one pair of silbings (one boy, one girl) and our tragic hero, a guy!
xD Basically the idea goes the guy is in love with both the sister and the brother. Can't figure out why. One of my favorite parts of this idea is the whole "Who did I fall in love with first? Did I fall in love with the brother and then force my love on the sister because it's normal for a guy to love a girl and not to love a guy? Or did I fall in love with the sister but got my feelings confused with brother? AH!!"
As for whole the hero ends up with... well I guess it depends on which characters I use. I mean if it was like something Naruto and Sakura were siblings (in some off AU universe) and Sasuke was the hero, then obviously my sasunaru is gonna win. but if it was say my original characters then it's a possiblity that the girl and guy will end up together.
Or I go with the total yaoi version and just say it's three guys and have our hero confused over which brother he fell in love with first. Hehe which would make a great ItachixNarutoxSasuke fanfic... which I would never write, but hey maybe there's a writer out there who will! xD

- i am not usually the type to red or look at yaoi or boyxboy stuff~
but i'd love to see a boy x boy x boy thing?
but with original characters.. <3
also drabble 28 is wonderful~
i love the end! <3

xD Normally I don't blush either, but after twenty volumes of hardcore sex I think anyone would. The horrors that happen when a fangirl discovers a yaoi site. xD I dunno, I've written an original yaoi story before though~ Not so good with the whole foreplay and stuff. But it's something to think about~
Drabble 28? Hmmm I don't even remember that one. x.X I'll go look it up.

Let's see...
WARNING: FANFICTION
Fandom: Danny Phantom
Muse Appearance: Hotaru
Pairing: Nah
Danny landed on the ground with a thud. It had been a long night. For some reason, every ghost decided to attack tonight. He groaned as he looked at the clock tower in the distance. It was 2 am. He better get back to home soon if he wanted to get SOME sleep before having to wake up for school today. God, he was so tired.
"You look tired. You okay?"
Danny leaped to his feet. Was it a ghost? It couldn't be, his ghost sense didn't go off! To his surprise a girl with sun- kiss brown hair and purple eyes just stood behind him. She smiled at him. "Hello. You must be Danny Phantom."
Danny's neon green eyes glowed as he narrowed them. "Who are you," he demanded.
The girl just smiled. "No one special. I'm Hotaru. I was just passing by. Don't worry, I'm not a ghost and I'm not here to hurt you." She chuckled. "You don't trust very easily do you?"
Danny relax a bit, but didn't drop his guard. "No. Most people who suddenly appear in my life are always trying to kill me." Just then his ghost sense went off. Danny cursed under his breath. He didn't need this right now. "Get back! There's a ghost coming."
"Bwu Haha! I AM THE BOX GHOST!" The annoying blue ghost appeared. "YOU WILL NOT DEFEAT ME THIS TI--"
Danny was surprised to see the Box Ghost suddenly stop in his rant and turn an even paler cover. "Lady Death... I didn't know you where here! Please forgive me rudeness. I'll be leaving... now," the Box Ghost stammered before disappearing in a flash.
Danny stood there, stunned. What just happened? The Box Ghost just left, it was like he was afraid of something... or someone. Danny turned back around. The girl was still standing, still smiling. But somehow her eyes seem more red instead of purple.
"Lady Death...? What was the Box Ghost talking about? I've never seen a ghost run away in fear like that! Who are you?" Danny demanded.
Hotaru laughed and patted Danny on the head. "I am what I say am. I am Hotaru, but yes, as the Box Ghost has called me, I have been referred to as Lady Death. Though, my proper title is the Angel of Life and Death."
She walked pass Danny who was feeling even more confused then usual. Turning her head, she looked back at the halfa. "You're doing excellent work Danny. I thank you and I apologize for all the hard time the ghosts are giving you."
Danny watched in awe as two wings unfurled themselves. One was white and bird like while the other was scaly and black like a dragon. "Oh and let's keep this whole, Angel of Life and Death thing just between you and me, Danny," Hotaru said with a smile. "I'll come by and check up on you again in the near future." With that, she flapped her wings and flew into the night sky.
Danny watched her leave. The Angel of Life and Death? He groaned. This night couldn't get any stranger could it?

Hotaru sat on a cloud. Today had been tiring.. stressful, but she felt happy. Today, she had saved a life. She broke the rules and saved a life that she wasn't suppose to have saved. The future had shifted again, but she wasn't caring too much.
'Mother will probably yell at me again, but that's okay,' Hotaru thought to herself.
She didn't know why she saved that child. Hotaru supposed that it was because she had a soft spot for children. The child had been playing in the street with a racing trunk coming down the road.
She was supposed to have been there to escort the child's soul to afterlife... not save it. A smile tugged on her face. She was happy. She saved a child for the sake of saving it, not because she had to. Hotaru was happy.

For once it's quiet. No cars roaring down the streets. The tvs are finally off. The rest of my family is asleep. Nothing but the soft whirls of the fan and the tapping of the keys on the keyboard.
It's relaxing...
Soothing.
And a sure sign that I should be sleeping soon.
Well when things finally grow quite, that's my cue. Time to sleep. Dreamland awaits.

This is a fanfic
I just want people to read it slowly. So yeah.
Title: Checklist
Fandom: Naruto
Warning: Shonenai
Pairing: Sasunaru
Note: No flames please. >>
Mesa no own Naruto
I hope this isn’t breaking any rules… -looks around-
IMPORTANT INFO!
The Uchiha massacre never took place… so Itachi never left Konoha… However Sasuke and Itachi’s parents did died. (Let’s say on a mission). It’s a minor detail but I thought everyone should know about it.
------------------------
Checklist
-------------------------
Itachi stared at the piece of paper in his hands. It was an odd checklist thing that he had found on the kitchen table this morning. Chances were Seika or Sasuke left it there, seeing as they were the only two in the kitchen this morning.
- How to Know Your Otouto is Gay
1. He didn’t even BLINK when the town’s hottest girl walked right in front of him.
2. He seems to be very comfortable around other gay people
3. He isn’t bothered by the “g” word
4. He has been spending more time with his best friend (or any guy) more than usual
5. He mumbles a guy’s name in his sleep
6. He has kissed a guy in public before (via dare, bet, accident, etc) and doesn’t seem to repress the memory or suffer from some sort of physiological scars.
If you have checked all of the items on this list, then there is a high chance that your otouto is gay. Accept it and go get a life.
Itachi searched the room for a pen. Actually, this thought had been on his mind lately. Sasuke had been acting a little weird for a while now. Ever since he met that Naruto boy. Actually no, Sasuke had known Naruto since they were younger… it was ever since they were both placed on the same team under Kakashi-san’s supervision. It was even more obvious since they returned back from Water Country a few months ago.

He looked at number one. 1. He didn’t even BLINK when the town’s hottest girl walked right in front of him. Itachi blinked. Actually, that was true…. Just yesterday, Mary Sue, the town’s hottest girl walked right in front of Sasuke, even hugged/glomped him. Even as slutty as that girl was, she still managed to get every guy in the surrounding area to drop their jaws and stare at her. It wasn’t just Mary Sue. Sasuke didn’t even look at the girls from his fan club or classmates either. Girls like Haruno Sakura and Yamanaka Ino were hot in their own way (Itachi wasn’t sure in what way, but chances were someone thought they were) but Sasuke was like a stone wall waiting to be impressed. Sasuke did blink when Naruto walked across his line of vision…
Itachi checked that one off.
2. He seems to be very comfortable around other gay people. Also true. That Hyuuga boy and the Gai-look-a-like was a well known couple in Konoha. Itachi had yet to see Sasuke have a freaky kind of reaction to their ‘gayness’. Sasuke even looked like he was blushing when Kakashi-san kissed Iruka-san right in front of him. (Actually the town rejoiced when Kakashi and Iruka had gotten together. Everyone knew their history together and it was, as many of the women gossiped, “a match made in heaven”).
Itachi checked that one off too.
3. He isn’t bothered by the “g” word. Definitely not. Two days ago he overheard Sasuke and Seika have a conversation about gay couples. Itachi knew his girlfriend was perfectly fine with homosexuals. It was probably due to her sheltered life from before that she doesn’t find it strange at all. Still, it was an odd conversation to be listening to when the people having the conversation happened to be your girlfriend and otouto.
Check that one.

4. He has been spending more time with his best friend (or any guy) more than usual. Hell, yeah. Sasuke was always spending his free time with Naruto, training, hanging out, eating, and whatever else that could come to mind. He was always talking about Naruto too.
Check!
5. He mumbles a guy’s name in his sleep. Again… yes. Itachi had come home late last night and as he tiptoed past Sasuke’s room, Sasuke was mumbling something about Naruto and then gave a moan. If that didn’t scream yes, then who knows what does. It wasn’t the first time, Itachi believed, that Sasuke had a (wet) dream about Naruto.
He checked off that one.
6. He has kissed a guy in public before (via dare, bet, accident, etc) and doesn’t seem to repress the memory or suffer from some sort of physiological scars. YES! YES! YES! YES! This was a capital YES with over a million exclamation marks. Itachi should know. He was there! He was standing outside the frickin’ window – checking up on his little brother to make sure everything was all right – when it happened. The whole incident of when Naruto was attempting to stare Sasuke down (before they were good friends) and someone pushing Naruto over, sending the blond boy into a lip-lock with his otouto. Sure, Sasuke acted like he hated it but he was SMILING! --Smiling!—when he thought no one was looking, Sasuke was smiling after that kiss. And even when he was looking like he was bored, there was this immense happy aura surrounding his brother.

Now remember. This is Sasuke. Uchiha Sasuke, the school’s current loner, top student. His otouto who didn’t speak much around his classmates, considered to be the ‘cool kid’. Sasuke who normally had a depressing and darkening aura ever since their parents died. This was Sasuke… Happiness never seemed to exist in the younger Uchiha’s vocabulary before.
CHECK! CHECK! CHECK! CHECK!
Itachi stared at the list. He had checked off the entire list… So that meant that Sasuke was gay… Should he confront him about it? Should he even be happy about it? He re-read the last lines on the checklist: If you have checked all of these on this list, then there is a high chance that your otouto is gay. Accept it and go get a life.
Itachi only stared at the checklist. Just then, Sasuke’s head peered into the room. “Aniki?” called Sasuke, attempting to grab his brother’s attention. Actually… if Itachi was distracted by whatever he was reading, it might be easier on Sasuke to just blurt it out and run and let Itachi figure out what he said.
“Hm?”
“What would you do… or say if I told you that Naruto was my boyfriend.” There. It was out in the open now.
Itachi snapped his gaze to Sasuke direction. “W-what?” Did he just hear right?

Sasuke slowly and carefully repeated his question; his body was already tensed and ready to make a run for it in the worst case scenario. Itachi didn’t say anything and merely stared, looking back and forth between Sasuke and the checklist. The words ‘Accept it and go get a life’ rang continuously in Itachi’s head. Finally, Itachi weakly said, “T-That’s great.”
Sasuke beamed and relax; no longer terrified that his brother was going to kill him or anything. With a quick bye, Sasuke ran out the door to tell Naruto the great news.
The moment he was gone, Itachi groaned and leaned backwards, falling to the floor with a ‘thud’. He crumpled up the checklist and threw it into a trashcan. So his otouto was gay… really should have seen that one coming…

Seito: I was doing two stories at once at 1 in the morning. Smart, Seito, real smart. Anyways just like my A Piece of Happiness (Naruto) this story is the result of listening to Gackt’s Missing; Egao o misete while folding paper stars at night. The song has nothing to do with the story so it’s not in here. Folding paper stars is fun. Who knows if wishes might come true if you wish on a paper stars.
(A note from her beta reader- The La/-/er- This is the first time I'm doing this and I wonder if Seito's leaving this here... Well, if you're reading it, obviously she did, just wanted to say something, it was not a smart idea to write two stories at a time in 1 in the morning. There were missing words and bad spelling. I am here to tell you writers not to do this, it's hell on your beta reader. And that ends my Beta-reader public announcement. On another note, this was a good story, very thoughtful. I demand you to continue reading.) Seito: Listen to my beta. What she says is true. DO NOT WRITE AT ONE IN THE MORNING!!!

Ed stopped what he was doing and looked up. There was Roy Mustang in all his glory. The General had a curious expression on his face. Ed replied, “Folding paper stars.”
The Flame Alchemist's reply was a rather curt one. “Now why would you want to do something as girlish as that?” He took a seat across from Ed.
Ed gave him an icy glare as he bit back his tongue to hold his anger in check. Instead he answered his superior in an icy tone. “Because my mother used to make them for Al and I when we were younger.”
An uncomfortable silence fell over the two of them.

&-------Earlier---------&
Roy Mustang was trying to locate his young, golden-eyed alchemist all day. He had checked the libraries and any and all the other places Ed might have gone to do research on the Philosopher’s Stone. Roy asked Al where his brother was, only to have the armor suit tell him that his nii-san had disappeared early this morning. For the rest of his day, Roy continued searching for the golden-eyed alchemist. (He had spent so long looking for Ed, that Roy forgot why he was looking for the young alchemist in the first place.)
He did not expect to find Edward sitting in a quiet café, with long, thin strips of colorful paper in front of him, folding what seemed to be paper stars. Curious, Roy walked in and asked, “What are you going Fullmetal?”
As expected, Ed answered him with a simple reply. “Folding paper stars.”
Roy made a big mistake with his next words. “Now why would you want to do something as girlish as that?” He took a seat across from Ed.
He was surprised to see an icy glare instead of the normal burst of anger that Ed would normally display after an insult. Then, in an icy tone, Ed said, “Because my mother used to make them for Al and I when we were younger.”
Roy suddenly felt very uncomfortable as silence fell over them. He fingered one of the paper stars as Ed returned to his craft. Then, Roy said in a soft voice, “Can you teach me?”

Not sure whether or not his ears had deceived him, Ed’s head snapped up as he asked in disbelief, “What?!”
Roy repeated his words. “Can you teach me?” He was rather curious how to make these paper stars. He didn’t really care if it seemed unlike him to ask, but he was curious and that curiosity would not be subdued until he learned.
Ed could stare in astonishment for a few seconds before he snapped out of it. He then handed Roy a blue strip of paper. “Okay... first you make a loop like this. You then pull this through and adjust it so it fits. You should come out with something that looks like a knot. Then you wrap it around until you come to the end of the paper. When you do, you tuck the end in and then you pinch it the paper to puff up the star.”
Roy fumbled to keep up with Ed, who finished the star he was working on and picked up another piece of paper. Moments later Roy found himself looking at a crush star. Ed lightly hit Roy’s hand since he couldn’t reach Roy’s head. “No, no, no. Paper is very fragile. It crushes easily if you apply too much pressure,” corrected Ed. Roy stared at him for a moment.
‘Fragile... paper isn’t the only thing that’s fragile here,’ Roy mused to himself. He studied Ed carefully. ‘A person’s heart is just as frail.’
Ed handed Roy another piece of paper. “Try again, but this time, don’t pinch too hard.” 2 minutes later Roy was looking at a lopsided star. “Well at least you didn’t crush it this time,” Ed said. Roy noticed that the atmosphere seemed lighter, happier yet still tranquil. When he first walked in here it seemed like everything was silent, sad, and calm.

Slowly, time passed by, although both didn’t notice. They were lost in a small conversation. Discussing anything and everything, from the past to the present, from fantasy to reality, all the while folding paper stars.
Finally the owner of the café, a middle aged woman, approached them. “Sirs, I don’t want to be rude, but it’s late and I want to close the shop if you don’t mind,” she asked. Roy and Ed looked towards the clock. It was almost midnight. The shop was supposed to have closed almost two hours ago. The owner must have been really patient with them.
Ed and Roy gathered up their belongings. Roy handled Ed the stars he made, only to have Ed give them back to him. “Keep them. You made them after all.”
“You sure you don’t want them because they’re ugly,” Roy teased.
Instead, Ed gave him a knowing smile. “It’s what on the inside that counts,” he quoted. They walked outside. Roy fished out one of the shiny, better, paper stars he made. He held it close to the sky.
“Make a wish, Edward,” said Roy. Ed looked at him confused.
“Whenever you see a star you’re suppose to make a wish,” explained Roy. The teasing tone made its way back into his voice.
“I know that,” huffed Ed.
“So make a wish,” said Roy.
“That’s not even a real star,” protested Ed.
“Just make a wish, Fullmetal.”

He felt someone run their hand through his hair, untying his braid and a pair lips press against his in a soft kiss. Then words, “I’m sorry about my earlier comment,” was whispered in that familiar voice.
Ed snapped open his eyes. Too late... Roy had vanished. Along with Ed’s rubber band too, it seemed. Ed touched his lips as he felt the lingering warmth disappear. What did you know? Wishes made on papers stars seemed to come true. Ed headed towards the hotel were he and Al were staying with a big grin on his face.
&--------The Next Day------&
Hawkeye did a double take when she passed by General Mustang’s office. “Umm, sir? What are you doing?” she asked.
Roy looked up. “Folding paper stars,” he said simply. Hawkeye stared in confusion and shock. Roy just smiled a secret smile and glanced at the small jar filled with lopsided stars and the rubber band that was hidden underneath the cuff of his uniform. “Just folding paper stars...”

Paper Cranes

They say if you fold a thousand paper cranes, the gods will grant you one wish...
&------------------------&
“Really, Fullmetal, first paper stars, now paper cranes. Are you planning to open a shop to sell all of these?”
Ed looked up and felt a wave of déjà vu. There, once again, was Roy Mustang in all his glory. Wasn’t it just a few days ago that this very scene played out before him? Ed saw a certain rubber band dangling from his superior’s wrist. A smirk graced his face. “Are you here to return my rubber band from which you stole from me?” Ed asked. Ever since Roy had stolen his rubber band, Ed was stuck to using a ribbon to tie his hair back. Somehow, there was a shortage of rubber bands in this town.
Roy returned the smirk with one of his own. “No, besides you look good with a ribbon in your hair.”
Ed fought down his blush and continued his folding. Roy’s smirk slowly turned to into a smile as he watched Ed worked. The Flame Alchemist had left his office in search for the younger alchemist. Instead of heading to the libraries, Roy headed straight for the café that Ed seemed to be spending a lot of time in. When he arrived there, low and behold, there was Ed sitting at one of the booths, folding again. This time, Roy saw paper cranes instead of paper stars.

“So why is today paper cranes instead of paper stars?” asked Roy. He picked up one of the cranes Ed had finished. The table was covered in colorful paper cranes. Roy inspected the crane. The edges were lined up, the creases were straight, and the tips of the paper were pointed and not crumbled, a perfect crane that could only have come to be after years of practice.
“Ran out of star paper,” Ed replied. He pulled down the wings of the crane he was working on, to puff up the body.
Roy set down the crane he was holding before he picked up a multicolored white, red, and yellow paper. Ed stopped what he was doing to watch Roy casually fold the paper diagonally, then in half.
Moments later there was a crane with a crooked head in front of Roy. “Could never get the head right,” Roy mused softly.
Ed’s eyebrow rose as he said, “For someone who didn’t know how to fold paper stars, you make nice cranes. I didn’t expect you to know how to fold cranes.”
Roy’s smirk returned as he picked up another piece of paper. “Who doesn’t know how to fold paper cranes?” he challenged.
Ed’s eyebrow rose further. “Oh, so you’re telling me that Major Armstrong and First Lieutenant Havoc can fold paper cranes?” he asked sarcastically.

Roy shot him a playful glare as Ed grinned. “So any reason to why you’re now folding paper cranes? Other than the fact that you ran out of star paper.” Roy set down his second finished crane and picked up another sheet of paper.
“Not really,” answered Ed, “Just a rumor I heard, plus I like making paper cranes just about as much as I like making paper stars.” He placed another crane to his pile. “Tea and rice cracker?” Ed gestured towards the teapot and bowl of rice crackers that lay among the paper cranes on the table.
“Sure,” said Roy, not looking up from his paper crane. Thus began the quiet afternoon in café.
&-----------&
It was two hours later when Roy noticed that there was a suitcase underneath the table. “Planning to leave already, Fullmetal?” he asked.
“Yeah. This evening,” answered Ed. “Al discovered a new lead. Hopefully we’ll get some new information.”
“Ah.”
Outside, the sun crept closer and closer to the horizon. The sky turned from a blue color to one of red, orange, and yellow as night drew ever closer. Inside, Ed had dumped most of his cranes into a glass jar as it was getting crowded on the table. It was around then that Ed noticed he was going to be late.

“Here.”
Roy blinked in surprise. Ed was handing him two jars. One was filled with paper stars about a fourth of the way and the other had the paper cranes from today, which filled up about half of the jar. “Why,” he asked.
Ed shrugged. “I’m leaving and there’s no room for these two jars in my suitcase. You’ve already started folding some of them, you can finish filling the jars up. Personally I like the paper stars’ jar better. You can at least see the stars versus the jar of paper cranes which seems like just a bunch of colors.” Roy took the jars.
“Besides,” continued Ed with a smirk, “They say if you fold a thousands cranes you receive one wish. You can do it for me and tell me if it comes true.”
They walked outside. Ed leaped onto the small wall, to look above the crowd for his brother. (The wall gave him an enough boost that he was looking eye to eye with Roy). Then he snapped his fingers as if he had suddenly remembered something. “Oi, General!”
Roy stopped in his tracks, preventing his sudden disappearance. Ed walked on the wall towards him. As soon as Ed was looking at Roy straight in the face, he hit Roy. (Luckily Roy didn’t drop the glass jars he was holding.)
“What was that for?” demanded Roy.
Ed leaned closer to Roy’s face and said, “That, Roy Mustang, was for kissing me last time.” Roy paled a bit. Ed continued, “And this...” He leaned over Roy to give him a breathtaking kiss. When they broke apart, Ed finished his sentence, “was also for kissing me last time.”

Giving Roy one more kiss, this time on the cheek, Ed leaped down from the wall. He grabbed his suitcase and disappeared into the crowd, but not before saying, “Ja mata!” Then he left Roy in his shock.
Roy blinked once, twice. Forget making a thousands cranes. His wish (or at least one of them) came true. Roy headed home in a happy and dazed state. He suddenly looked forward to the next time he saw Edward. (Seito: -sarcastically- like he didn’t in the first place.) It will definitely be very interesting.
&-------------------&
“Nii-san? Are you okay?” asked Al.
“Yeah. Why do you ask?”
“Well, for one thing you haven’t stopped smiling since we’ve gotten on the train.”
“It’s nothing Al. Just a simple wish...”
“Huh?”
&-----------------------------------------&
All of General Mustang’s subordinates were gathered around the door of their superior’s office the next day.
“Is that a jar of paper stars on his desk?”
“I didn’t know the General enjoyed making origami.”
“Is he making paper cranes?”
“First he comes in making paper stars, now he has a jar of paper stars and another one with paper cranes and is in the process of making one.”
“Do you think the General is ill?”
“He hasn’t stopped smiling like that since he came into the office this morning.”
“Maybe he is under the weather.”
“That or he’s really happy.”
As the subordinates continued to ponder on whether or not their superior was feeling alright, Roy sat in his office, completely unaware of what was going on outside his office, folding paper cranes.

Paper Triangles
&---------------------&
“I shouldn’t be surprised, but really Fullmetal. First, paper stars. Next, paper cranes. Now, paper triangles. You should really consider giving up alchemy and become an arts and crafts teacher.”
Ed looked up. As he expected, there was Roy Mustang. Repeating his actions from the last time Roy saw Ed, he took a seat. “So, enlighten me. Why paper triangles and where was my hello when you came back?” asked Roy.
“Finished the paper cranes,” said Ed. He gestured to the jar of paper cranes next to him. “The town we were at didn’t have any origami for cranes. They did have this though. It’s been awhile since I made one. And I didn’t stop by to say hello because I knew you would have come here after you found out that I was back.”
“So the lead was a dead end,” asked Roy. He looked at the paper triangle. What a strange piece of origami. The triangle didn’t even stay closed. What was the point of making this triangle? He looked at the table. It was obvious that Ed had just started. There was only a handful of paper triangles scattered over the table. Four were black, some were blue but most of them were white.
“Yeah,” said Ed. He picked up another paper and began to fold it in half. “And I still want my rubber band back,” he said, pausing his folding to send a look at the older man. Roy merely looked away with an I-don’t-know-what-you’re-talking-about expression.

“What’s the point of making these triangles anyway?” asked Roy, quickly changing the subject. He wasn’t really planning to give Ed back his rubber band. His statement from the last time Roy saw Ed still stood. Ed looked cute with a ribbon in his hair.
Ed frowned at the change of subject, but said, “Never mind that. Since you’re here you can help me.” He handed Roy a white, rectangle-shaped piece of paper and gave him the instructions on how to fold it.
“Okay, you fold it in half this way, then in half again. Now take this end and fold it upwards, do the same to the other side. Now fold it up. It should look like a house. No, that’s wrong! This way.”
“It was easier to make paper stars.”
“Stop complaining. Fold the corners down. Make sure you leave a bit of space left so that it’s easier to fold down. You’ve got it backwards! Fold it down towards you, not away. Then fold up. That’s your triangle.”
“And we are making this because?”
“Because I’m asking you.”
Could Roy really say no? Of course not, so Roy was stuck folding paper triangles.

Some 480 triangles later, Roy and Ed were finally done folding. “So what do you plan to do with these triangles?” asked Roy.
“Make something.”
Roy blinked. “What?” he asked.
Ed repeated himself. “Make something.”
“How are you going to make something?” asked Roy. How could you make anything from small triangles? Triangles that didn’t even stay small triangles, that were always popping open to bigger triangles or diamonds.
“Just watch,” said Ed. He took out a hot glue gun and plugged it into wall.
“Where did you get that hot glue gun from?” asked Roy. He didn’t think Ed carried around a hot glue gun with him. That, or the golden-eyed alchemist was more into arts and crafts than Roy previously thought.
“I had to transmulate one because this requires you to glue the bottom. I bought a few sticks of glue for these things the same place I bought the paper from,” said Ed. “I have no idea why, but it seems certain towns have one thing, but don’t have the other half. The town I was at had glue sticks for the hot glue gun, but didn’t sell a single hot glue gun. Just like this town sells hair supplies, but not a single rubber band.” He sent a glare towards Roy as he said the last part about the rubber band.
Roy looked away again. “I have no idea what you are talking about, Ed.”

“Of course you don’t,” Ed said sarcastically. He began gluing the tips of some of the triangles together. Soon, he had a complete circle made up of 28 white triangles. The right angle part of the triangle was facing outwards. Then Ed began to build another row on top of that. He slipped a triangle (it had pockets on the bottom; right angle side facing inwards), on the right end of one triangle and the left end of another triangle. He continued that action until he had nine rows (including the one he glued) of white triangles.
“A bowl?” asked Roy. The rolls of white triangles made a bowl shape with a hole in the middle.
“Nope,” said Ed. He picked up a blue triangle instead of a white this time. He added on seven blue triangles before adding five white ones followed by another seven, then nine white ones to finish the next roll. On the following roll, Ed placed six blue triangles above the seven blue ones, four above the roll of five white ones, another six blue triangles, the eight white ones on top of the nine ones. Ed continued upwards, decreasing each section by one. Finally, each section came down to one triangle at the top.
To Roy, it looked like a vase. Ed then started stacking the remaining triangles on top of each. “Did you know the swan symbolizes grace, healing, altered states, intuition, transformation, transition, spiritual evolution, hunches, omens, spiritual divination, dignity, monogamy, loyalty and silence?” asked Ed.
Roy blinked at the new set of information that was present to him. “No, I didn’t,” he said. “Where did you hear that?”
Ed shrugged. “Just some information I read in a book. There done.”

Roy blinked again. “What is it suppose to be?”
Ed glared at him. “A swan.”
Roy’s eyebrow rose. “Who’s it for?” he asked.
“Winry. I missed her birthday and she’s been bugging me about it since.”
“Ah I see.”
“Sirs. I really must stress that this isn’t a 24 hours café.”
Both Ed and Roy looked up. It was owner the café again. Then the two of them looked at the clock that hung from the wall. Eleven o’clock p.m. It would seem the owner’s patience was a lot thinner tonight.
“Going madam!” the two chorus together. They scrambled out of the café before the owner got any angrier. Somehow, they didn’t like the look she was giving them and the frying pan in her hand wasn’t very comforting.

Roy was not looking forward to going to work the next day. Maybe he should skip out and find Edward again. But that wouldn’t be good. He was already going to get an earful from Hawkeye. No need to add another thing to her list.
“Morning, Colonel,” greeted Hawkeye. Roy waited for her outburst. He just knew Hawkeye was going to end up scolding him for leaving work yesterday. The First Lieutenant always managed to keep him in line. (He was grateful for that though, it was probably one of the reasons why he became Colonel) However, it didn’t come. Instead Hawkeye continued in a pleasant tone, “You received a gift this morning. A paper dragon, it seems.”
