Yeah yeah, you know the drill, It's a private game of round robin between me and lilith w. Please do not interrupt without asking us first.
Don't know what Round Robin is? Visit Here ^^ Okies. Now we start~ ^^ |
Nice title. What will the story be about?
|
I'm really sorry but I have to go. You can go ahead and start and I should be back in a little while but it might be tommorow before I can get back on. Sorry.
|
xD The title is random got nothing to do with the story
No worries, I'm starting. ^^:;; Okies~ See ya later ^^ |
((Let's try something different. xD I shall start in first and switch to third!))
Every day, I would watch this one girl come into the cafe were I always ate. She was pretty odd. Sometimes she would stand in front of the door, debating on whether she should come in before walking away. Sometimes she would come in and order a piece of cake, the cheapest item on the menu. I have no idea what her name is. All I know is that she goes to the same school as me (the uniform was a giveaway) and I'm pretty sure I've seen her in one of my classes. Today, she was standing outside again, fretting like usual as if she didn't have enough money to spend. I was getting annoyed for some reason. Finally I stood up, open the cafe door, grabbed her and dragged her to the front counter. She let out a small squeak of surprised. "Hey James!" I called to the owner. "One slice of chocolate cake!" James waved to me and nodded. "Sure thing, Rait!" Moment later, James handed me the piece of chocolate cake. I turned and gave it to her. She blinked and looked at me surprised. Her brilliant purple eyes asking me why. "Because you always stand outside every day looking at the piece of the chocolate cake. Sometimes you treat yourself, most times you don't. So today, I'll be treating to your piece of cake," I said, smiling at her. I think... she went into shock. ---- Layn blinked rapidly. This... guy... Her head felt like exploding. She didn't really understand. Rait was the son of a prominent rich family. Easily one of the most famous students in the entire school. She can't even begin to wonder why on earth he was talking to her of all reasons. She was just debating on whether she should buy that chocolate cake she adore so much. She had no intention of being dragged into the cafe by the most popular guy in school. |
((Ok, I'm back. Looks nice so far.))
She quietly tried to explain that she did not want to bother anyone. That he should not spend his money on her. But to herself she was asking Why does bad things always happen to me? She told him there was no way she could eat something she had not paid for. ---- "Why is she being so hard headed? Why doesn't she just take it?" I thought to myself, but aloud I only said "Well if you will not eat it I suppose I will have to, but seeing as I'm not a big fan of chocolate cake would you mind helping me." I sat the cake down at my table, grabbed her a chair, then sat down. She quietly sat down looking like a mouse caught by a cat. This was even more annoying then her standing outside. |
((xD thanks? xD I do think I shall get confused switching back and forth between first and third... but hey, that's the fun of it xD I actually wanted to write a story with these guys and never got past whatever I wrote in the first post))
Layn hesitantly took a seat. Her mind still reeling in what had just happened moments before. What was she to say? To do? She could already feel the stares of people around her. She should probably just take the cake, eat it and leave as fast as possible to get far far away from here. A nagging voice in her head said it was because she was too proud to take money from a rich guy when she barely had enough to buy herself a slice. Layn bite her lip. If she hesitant any longer, she would also be late to her job, something that she didn't want to do. Lyan couldn't afford to get fired from her job. She needed the money to pay her tuition. But what to say, what to do. Take the piece of cake and leave the money on the table? Don't accept. Layn began to fret. She didn't want to upset Rait either. ---- Hmm. You know. She'll probably give herself a heartattack on day. All that fretting isn't really good for her. I watched as she seem to be thinking long and hard about whether to take cake or not. Her eyebrows brunching together. You know most girls would instantly take the piece of cake if I offered it to them, even if they didn't like cake to begin with. So why was this girl having such a hard time taking it? Please don't say it's a matter of pride. |
((I get so confused with the tense change. At the end of writting I have to change it all.))
Layn grasped at ideas but they all ended the same way, her looking like a fool. Then suddenly a wonderful idea came to her. "Ok I'll eat this piece of cake but tomorrow you have to let me buy you a slice. Do we have a deal?" Layn said as she slide the slice of cake over to herself. ---- "Sure we have a deal," I told her thinking that I could just not come tomorrow or that she would forget by then. She started to eat the cake. Man, she sure eats fast. It looks like she's going to choke. This was in health class, why can't I remember it. Oh I remember that was the week Matt thought he was going to lose his job. We were talking in the back. I looked over to her and saw that she had finised eating and was starting to get up. "Thank you for the cake. I'll see you tomorrow. Bye." I hurriedly stood up and followed her to the door. "Yeah see you tomorrow." |
(( xD I'm sorry. I'm no good with grammar. xD And I love your line "they all ended the same way, her looking like a fool."))
Layn couldn't get out of the cafe fast enough. At least she managed to get out of something totally embarrassing. She still couldn't believe that he managed to recognize her as the girl who always stood outside of the cafe and not the girl that sat next to him in math. (Though it might have to do with the fact that Rait was always asleep in that class). She ran down the street. Layn would have to put overtime today on her job. She'll need to money to cover the piece of cake that she had to buy for Rait tomorrow. Of course now she had to figure out how to actually buy the cake for Rait without having another embarrassing run in with him. Layn just hoped that Rait wouldn't be stubborn and not show up tomorrow. She supposed she could just buy the cake, leave with James, the owner, and have him just give it Rait whenever he comes in. --- I sat back down at my table. What a weird girl. I get a feeling that I know her from somewhere, but I'm not exactly sure where. The only clue I have is that she goes to my school. Actually now that I think about it. Her behavior is kinda weird. If she attends my school, Royal Academy, then why is she so tight with her money. After all, as my father always tell me, Royal Academy is the school for the elite. And when my father says elite, he means rich. Most kids spend their money like water. Hmm... she's a weird girl alright. Maybe I'll come tomorrow just to get her name. |
((Thanks))
I realized that there was nothing left for me to do here. Guess its time to leave. She confused me so much. I'll go see someone who doesn't confuse me, Matt. ---- Layn made it just in time to work. She hated working there. She hated waiting on people. Plus the customers always seemed to want to eat the nastiest things; like frog legs, cow tongue, and liver. She knew she should have worked at a fast food resturant where they had normal food, but the tips were better here. She begain getting water for the dieters and shakes for the ones who did not care. During her break she asked the boss if she chould have some overtime that night. He only said that it was not possible that day. On top of that the tips were horrible. If it kept up like this, she thought, I'll be having a very light dinner. She decided that the only way to pay for Rait's cake would to be to sell one of her purses. It was too bad she really liked the newest one, but she could always make more. She decided she would run home after work and get the purses to take to her friend's store. |
((Have any ideas for age? At most I got them older then 14-15. So... we can go with sweet sixteen, lovely seventeen, cliche eighteen or actually say they're college freshman or higher and that the school they attend is a high school and a college. ^^))
And as usual... whenever I wanted to find Matt, he could never be found. I swear the boy is some sort of fricking ghost. Of course he has no problem popping up whenever I don't want him around... which should be happening in a few seconds. 3... 2... 1... "RAIT! Buddy ol' pal," I heart Matt say, swinging his arm around my shoulders. "About time you showed up," I grumbled at him. Matt patted me on the back. "Hey~ What can I say? I live to surprise you." I resisted the urge to roll my eyes. Meet Matt Hurin, my best friend and fellow classmate at Royal Academy. We known each other since we were kids. He's a great friend. Totally upbeat and friendly. If you just ignore his ability to disappear and reappear at the weird times, he was pretty much normal. Which is saying alot because most of our classmates are snobby and stuck up. "Hey by the way Matt. What was math homework?" ---- Layn walked out of her friends store with a few dollars more. She was slightly annoyed. She had bought that purse with what little spending money she had from her job. (Most of her paycheck when to paying tuition of the academy). More then often she wondered if attending that school was worth her time. Then again, they did give her nearly a full scholarship (though as one can tell remainder that she pay was still a large sum) and had professors to challenge and teach her things that most public schools wouldn't even begin to teach. Her freshman year alone at Royal Academy taught her subjects that seniors at her old high school was learning. Layn was exceptional student. She love to learn about new things. Smart enough to win an scholarship from the school, but not smart enough to be consider a genius, Layn was a hard working student. She tried to excelled in most of her classes while balancing a part time job to help pay for her tuition. (She didn't want her parents to work themselves to death). What little free time she had, she spend studying. Thus as one can guess, her social life suffered greatly. It was okay though. Layn didn't want to know the rich class too well. She was sure that most would have a heart attack if they knew she was "poor". Layn sighed and pushed thoughts away. Tomorrow, before school started, she would make a stop at the cafe to pay James and tell him to give Rait a slice of cake of his choice whenever Rait decided to come in. At least, with some luck, she'll be able to completely avoid him tomorrow. Sometimes being the invisible girl rocked. |
((Whatever you think sound the best. Sorry its so short. I couldn't think.))
She went home and started on the hours of homework ahead of her. As she started her math homework she thought that she was probably the only student that liked to do homework. ---- "I don't know. Ask Alison she always knows." Why is he always asking me. Like I know we were both sleeping. "Someone's snappy. By the way did you need something?" "No reason. Lets go do something." |
((okies, I'm up for sweet sixteen. xD And sorry for the late response.))
Morning came all to fast. Layn woke up a little earlier then usual so that she could make a stop at the cafe before school started. She just hoped that James would agree to helping her. Layn really didn't want to be confronted by Rait again. She packed her things and closed the door behind her. She had more then an hour left before school started. ----- Ugh... morning. It meant school would be starting, and another long week of hellish torture. I hate school. I stumbled out of bed, vaguely recognizing the polite Good Morning from the servants. Today was not going to be an easy day. |
((that's fine with me and don't worry about it))
I stumbled downstairs then realized that once again I was late for school. If I run i can get there in time. I'll even have time to get a quick cup of coffee at the cafe. ---- She ran down the street but realized that she had left her math homework at home. Layn turned around and ran back home to get it. As she started to run back towards the cafe she found that she had somehow lost track of time and she was going to be late. She would just have to make it really quick at the cafe. |
((Hey~
We have another reader xD)) Sometimes I love being rich. The limo got me to the cafe in no time. I walked into the cafe and wave to James. "Hey James," I called out. "Can I have a cup of coffee?" I paused as I heard someone say can I have a piece of cake as the same time as me. I looked towards the source. It was the girl from yesterday and she looked like a deer catch in the headlights. ----- Layn would have liked to cursed her luck. Why the hell was Rait doing at the cafe this early in the morning? Layn looked at the clock and despaired. She didn't have time to be dealing with this. School started at 8 o'clock; it took at least 20 minutes to run to school and it was getting dangerously close to 7:40. She shoved the money into James' hands and said, "A slice of cake for whatever flavor he wants." Without another second to spare Layn turned around and was headed straight for the door. She got a foot away from the counter before Rait grabbed her arm. "Hold it," he said. "I'll take you to school since you seem to be in a rush. And I don't know why since we have more then 20 minutes to get there." Layn silently cursed her luck. She did not want to be taken to school by Rait of all people. And Rait looked like he wasn't going to take no as an answer. Bitting her lip, thoughts raced frantically in her head. What was she gonna do? |
(( a reader, hope they like it))
She thought of pulling her arm away and running. She then realized that with her luck she would fall on her face, and sprain something. She sighed then very politly said that would be very nice of him to give her a ride. ---- She's freaking out a lot. I wonder what's wrong with her. She doesn't seem to like me. What did I do to her? I've already asked if she wants a ride I can't back down now. I held the door open to her. Then remembered my coffee. "Do you want some coffee?" She looked over at me with big eyes and said quietly "Why not, yes please." I ran inside, got our coffees then got in the car. |
((xD me too. Normally don't get readers))
Layn sat in the expensive limo just cursing her luck while Rait got her a cup of coffee. She suppose she should just give up and get on with life. Hard to believe that in less then twenty minutes her entire high school life would be turned upside Surely the popular girls would tear her apart for arriving with Rait of all people, and if not that, then the rumors alone would kill her. The rumors would float around for about a week hopefully and then everything will go back to normal... provided that Rait didn't pull anything else to give people ideas. "Here." Layn looked to see Rait holding a cup of coffee out to her. She took the cup and thank him. Sipping the bitter drink, she buried herself back into her thoughts. Someone up there really really really hates her. ---- I bit back the urge to laugh. This girl was really something. She'll take a cup of coffee from me, free of charge, but she won't let me buy her a piece of cake. Weird. I suppose some people are just like that. She frowning to herself and muttering something too. I really gotta wonder if I did something to her before. Maybe it was at school. Like I accidently bump into her or I cut her off in the school lunch line. Hmmm I suppose I would need to find out her name first. "Hey, by the way, I'm Rait. You are?" I asked. The girl turned and stared at me for a moment before turning back to sipping her coffee. If I was a cartoon, I would have sweatdropped. She can be real unfriendly this girl. |
((Sorry I was gone for so long. My internet stopped working.))
Layn couldn't believe it. This boy that was going to ruin her life didn't even know her name. He sits right next to me. He even took my pencil one day. Then a wonderful idea came to her. He didn't even know her name. That might help with the rumors. The other girls might not start anything when they realized he didn't even know her name. As she was thinking and occasionaly muttering to herself a sly grin spread across her face. ---- She's starting to freak me out. Talking to herself like that. I look over at her and see she is suddenly smiling. But its not the good kind of smile. It looks like a shark that saw a yummy fish. |
((It's okay. xD I've been busy. I'm leaving for a trip and don't know when I can get online... so you might not see me for three weeks? ^^;;; sorry)
Layn smiled to herself as she plotted. If she could avoid telling him her name, then she might live through the day at least. She promptly decided to just flat out ignore his question as if she never heard it. With any luck, she'll avoid the question by the time they get to school. After that it was just a matter of pretending not to know him and hoping that he doesn't know her in math class. Yeah. It should be easy enough. Not many people know who she was at school anyways. Most people just ignore her. Layn was currently loving the fact that she was invisible in school. ---- Okay... Have I mentioned this girl is weird? She's still smiling. She hasn't answered my question yet. Perhaps she hadn't hear me? I'm suddenly a little scared to ask her though. I've seen that look on girls' faces before. And trust me. It's a scare thing. Very scary. >> I don't even want to think about the last time a girl smiled at me like that. Perhaps it's better that I don't say anything... maybe I should ask about the weather or something. Oh snap out of it Rait! You are Royal Academy's most wanted guy! What girl doesn't want to fall in love with you? You should be cowering away from this girl! Talk to her! Start a conversation! "So... what's your first period?" |
((Ok, have fun on your trip.))
Layn looked over at him. Well that proves he doesn't know me from class but what do I say. Only a few seconds past as these thoughts ran thru her mind. She thought about lying but then he might finally notice her in class. She sighed to herself and sadely told him the truth. "Math," Rait started to say something but before he could get a word in Layn continued. "Yes we have class together," she realized that she could use this to her advantage. "In fact you sit right next to me. You have even taken my pencil before. How could you not realize that." She turned away from him trying to act extremly upset and smiled out the window. ---- I can't believe it. Now I know why she looked so familuar. Man, I've really messed up. Girl's hate it when you forget them. I can't belive she had so much spit fire in her. Without realizing it I stared at her back intill the car pulled up at school. |
((Thanks!))
Layn got out of the car as quickly as she could. She could already hear the whispers beginning to spread. She didn't have time to deal with this though. She just wanted this day over with. She gave Rait her little revenge, now she wanted nothing more from the boy. In fact life would be great if she never had to deal with him again. She knew Rait was watching her as hurried towards class. Layn let out a soft sigh. Living with the rich was more of a hassle then she thought. ---- I watched her run off to class. Okay. So I guess the next step is to figure out what her name is, and then make an apology for upsetting her. It's better to have friends then enemies. Last thing I need is to find out that she's the daughter of my father's business partner or something. I probably should go buy her another slice of cake. But first I need to find out her name. I'll ask Matt. Maybe he knows. If not, I'll go to the source, the school computer. I got out of the car. Well time to start another beautiful day at Royal Academy. Joy. |
((Posts tentatively. You did say I could right? I read this along with keeping up with mene gossip and forgot  ))
She sat down and placed her books on the desk in a pile. Maybe she was planning on hiding behind them, she really didnt know. She just hated the idea of having to sit by him and the rumours that would inevitably fly through the school. Why did she take that ride? Why did she let him catch her eyeing cake? As nice as it was it really wasn't worth this. --- I headed slowly to class looking for Matt as I went, but as always I wanted him so he was nowhere to be found. I sighed as I etered math class. There she was. Obviously avoiding me to the best of her ability. What could I do to make it right? How could I not have noticed her? |
