Welcome to my drabble page. In an attempt to sharpen my writing skills, I will be posting anything from 500-2000 words for each key phrase found below. I will be writing these drabbles with my two characters, Kai Datenshi and Yuu Suzuki (profiles listed below), in an attempt to fully grasp their characters.

87 Lipstick Kisses
Kai and Yuu originally share one body. However, for the sake of these drabbles, I will be making them two seperate people in Heaven.
Yuu stared at his empty mug in confusion. That was weird. Where in the world could his toothbrush be? The brunette picked up the ceramic object, looking inside. How strange, nothing was in there. He usually placed his toothbrush in his mug after he was done, but tonight, it seemed to be missing. He thought back to this morning, and distinctly remembered placing his toothbrush back into his mug. He placed his lonely mug next to the sink, and walked back into his bedroom. There was only one culprit that could have caused the disappearance of his favorite toothbrush... He found said culprit just entering the room which they shared, back facing towards him while sliding the door shut. Yuu approached him silently. "Kai, have you seen my toothbrush?" he asked in a rather loud voice. With a jump, the older man turned around. Evidently, he thought he was the only person inside the room. Yuu laughed at his wide-eyed reaction. "No, I haven't," he replied. "Do you need help looking for it?" "Come on, you must have done something with it," Yuu pointed out. "You're the only one that could have done something with it. Hold on, there's a smudge on your cheek..." "Really? Where?" Kai rubbed at his cheeks, missing the spot completely. Realizing that it was hopeless, he walked into the bathroom and looked into the mirror. Yuu followed behind him. "Wait, let me do it--" "Er, it's okay Yuu--" "It's okay, I'll do it--" "No really, I got it--" "Just stand still, okay?" Normally, Yuu was paranoid about displaying his affection. However, they weren't in public, and the walls and doors didn't have ears. So he stood on the tip of his toes, one hand on Kai's shoulder for support while the other reached up to touch his cheek. Yuu licked his lips slightly, a sign that he was nervous. Upon closer inspection, the smudge was red. It was slightly in the shape of a pair of lips and looked kind of like... lipstick. Half-way done with this one. I have to go right now... I'll finish when I come back. |
30 "Catch Me When I Fall"
The view was breathtaking on the rooftop, especially when the sun is rising. The light slowly creeps up behind a veil of purple hues, casting bright colors in the sky. From darkness, light is born. It's times like these when I wish that you could see this with me. Yet, I don't want you to wake up and hear these embarassing thoughts of mine.
I looked down below, and felt a slight wave of acrophobia flooding through me. It reminds me of that one summer day, when I brashly jumped off of that building. I thought I could fly, I really did. After that incident, I avoided high places for a while. I couldn't face my fears again. I walk to the edge of the roof. Even without my wings, I can look down now. I think that now that you're here, I can face my fears again. I don't like how I'm depending on people, but Kai, you can be the one important thing I've lost. You can be my wings. Cautiously, I take small steps until half of my body weight was over the edge of the building. In the back of my mind, I can hear you stir, signs that you're waking up. I stop thinking these embarassing thoughts, and instead focus on you. "Good morning, Kai." "G'morning... you're awfully civilized today, aren't you?" "Yeah... don't kill the mood." "I wonder what finally pursuaded you to--Yuu, what the hell are you doing?!" I smile, jumping from the edge of the five-story building. I have no idea when I started trusting this unreliable person like this, but somewhere along the way, I did. In a way, this was my own way of letting him know. Kai, you'd better catch me when I fall. |
