These are my character profiles. I'll be building these characters with the drabbles. This thread is my first meeting with them and I hope to get to know them well. Ah, scratch that, I think I've been building them in my head for a while before I started this thread. Haha.

I do need to figure out a few things about them before I start writing the drabbles so I suspect that I'll be updating these posts quite a bit before I start actually posting. Feel free to give me your input.

Name: Cathes
Name Meaning and Origins: It's Welsh meaning slave.
Age: Seventeen
Birthdate: September 13th
Signs: Virgo
Sexuality: Unknown

World: - Cathes lives in a world where slavery is legal and an every day thing. Some is consensual, some is not. Freedom can be bought and sold. Slaves can also be permanently bought/sold; it's very rare and expensive.
- When a child is born the parents have to buy them or the government takes them. Anyone can buy the child from the parents or government if they wish to sell.
- When a person has enough money they may also buy their freedom. The catch is that they have to earn the money themselves.
- Once you own yourself you can also sell yourself.
- Slave tattoos are made of a special ink. It can be erased much easier than normal tattoo ink.
- Slave tattoos are controlled by the government. They place them and erase them. It is illegal to get it done any other way.
- Slave tattoos are meant to inform others about whether they're free or not. Some Masters/Mistresses/Owners require their slaves to carry their own symbol as well so that their ownership is specified. Tattoos and collars are the most common.
- Tattoos also indicate many other things such as defects that may not otherwise be seen or to indicate a special class in society.
- This world is only slightly more advanced than present day.
- Everyone is chipped. Being chipped means that you have an informational ID chip in your body. It's always placed as close to a vital spot as possible (at birth) as to detour them being taken out. (the heart and brain are popular places)
- The "chips" depend on the carrier being alive. They can not transmit a signal if taken out or if the carrier dies. If a signal is lost, an investigator is sent out.
- Chips hold the carriers life history. What schools they went to, who their parents are, their grades, their job history, their blood type, allergies, past owners, and any other information the government deems necessary.
Distinguishing Physical Traits: - The symbol of slavery below her earlobe, slightly back.
- A mark on her neck, near her collarbone, signaling to others that she's mute.

- She doesn't remember much of her past at all. She figures she would remember her family if she had one before the government enslaved her.
- She's a runaway slave.
- Somehow, someway, she got rid of her chip. She doesn't know if an investigator is after her or not. She's always on the lookout because of this
General Information: - Not many (if any) know much (if anything) about her real past.
