It was dark. Unbelievably dark. I don't think I had ever seen such a dark night. No moon, no houses, just the headlights on the road. My sister was driving. She was the designated driver for the evening. We had all been at a frat party until about 3am, when the neighbors finally got sick of the noise and called the police. Lasted longer then I thought it would though. We were taking a couple home. Sylvia, whom I knew slightly, was passed out in the back seat. Her boyfriend, who's name I couldn't remember, was giving us directions to their place. I don't think I'd ever been this far out in the country before. Nothing but trees on both sides of the road, an occasional mailbox breaking the monotony.
"Turn left here" they guy said as we came to a dirt road.
"Is it much further?" I asked. Hoping that it was close buy.
"Not much further now" The guy said.
He sounds excited. I wonder why?

((Ok, this is my first time trying a round robin, so please don't shoot me. I think I've actually done something like this before, and I've also been involved in roleplaying, so I'll give it a shot!))
As we progressed down that country road, I looked out the window and examined the landscape. I might not have been in this area before, but it was pretty creepy for the country. The trees were already dead, even though most trees elsewhere were still changing colors.
Shuddering, I turned back around when the guy said, "There it is. Right on the left."
"That is pretty big for a college student!" My sister exclaimed, looking at their house. It wasn't as big as a mansion, but it was bigger than a normal house. It also looked really weathered.

(That guy sounds like a vampire, doesn't he?)
The four-wheeled vehicle came to a slow stop, the crunching of gravel halting as well. In the desolate countryside, the cool night breeze was freezing without the obstruction of concrete buildings. I wrapped myself in a tight cocoon inside my jacket, considering the idea of winding the windows up, waiting for the backseat couple to alight the car.
The churns of the car engine was the only sound in the stuffy vehicle.
Chug chug chug chug chugâŚ
Why wasnât he getting down yet?
My sister shifted in her seat, and the worn-out leather chair creaked under her weight as she turned herself around.
âHey, are you getting down or not?â
I saw, in the rear view mirror, the smile he returned. In my mindâs eye, I imagined that a row of glistering fangs would be befitting of such a creepy expression.
âIâm just being paranoidâŚâ I convinced myself, ânothing but Halloween and stupid late night horror moviesâŚâ
âCan you girls help me carry Sylvia into the house? I still have a luggage to take.â
My sister gave him a distrustful look, but acceded in the end, when he pulled up a large knapsack onto his lap.
âIâll go too,â I said hastily when my sister got down the car.
In truth, I was worried about being left alone in such a minatory place like thisâŚ
I helped my sister pull Sylvia out from the rear seat, and each of us supported her from either side. The drunken girl was completely knocked out, and she was a dead weight in our hands. She reeked of alcohol, and as much as I hated that awful stuff, there was something else that was bothering meâŚ
Why did her body feel so cold?
Deathly coldâŚ

((This is my first one to, but I think it's going really well!))
We stood at the doorway waiting for the lock to turn. It was very old and being stubborn. After a minute it finally gave way with a loud squeak and the door opened. I was rather surprised, I expected something abnormal. The house was decorated in early 80's grandma. Shabby looking sofa with plastic still covering it, a large doily on the back of it. An odd mix of dust and wood polish was the scent of the evening, with something odd underneath. I couldn't quite place it but it was definitely something I had smelled before.
I laid Sylvia on the sofa, she still felt like ice. I decided a blanket was in order and looked around for that guy to ask him where we could find one. I didn't see him but there was a door that looked like it would be a closet so I headed that way. I was about to turn the handle of the door when an arm shot out and stopped me.
You don't want to go in there dear, the room is a mess. I turned my head to see a cheerful looking old lady. She had short white hair and was wearing an apron with lacy frills all over it. She looked like I'd always pictured Mrs. Clause. I explained to her that I needed a blanket for Sylvia and she disappeared for a moment and came back with one.
So you must be Scotty's friends? The old woman asked as she tucked the blanket around Sylvia. Oh, uh yeah. I answered. How is she doing? I asked, motioning to Sylvia. Oh, she'll be fine. Just had a bit to much I suppose, answered the old lady. And my name is Alice, but most everyone calls me Gran. It's nice to meet you young folks. She gave me a warm smile. It gave me the chills for some reason.

I then began looking around teh room/house. Statues of halloween creatures were staring down at me form the ceiling. gargoyles, bats, cats, and much more. One of the cats tautes and that's when i realized they were real. I led out a bloodcurling scream and collapsed in a faint.
