Ya, I adore this character by the name of Fastion in the Green Rider series. He's a secondary character, but always pops up for something really important in every book. I seem to always fall for the smaller characters <.< Haha. Ah well, but this guy just has a really well crafted persona and is really rather mysterious because of his profession (which is sealed around deep and ancient codes the reader slowly, very slowly, is learning with each passing book). He's one of those characters that has a hardened exterior but shows a sense of humor through one means or another (the biggest way is in how he words things, especially to the main character, whom all the Black Shields (his profession - guardians of the King) have come to trust so deeply)

1. Vanyel Ashkeveron from Magics Price series by Mercades Lackey...he dies though....but his story is so touching that no matter how many times i reread those three books i always end up with tears running down my face.

2. Serius Black from Harry Potter.....I cried when he died..i also cried when Dumbledor died

3. Kellan from To light a Candle by Larry Dixon and Mercades Lackey

4. Kuon Hizuri from Skip Beat...it's a manga though...such a rough life and he is determined to not let his co star know that they know each other

5. King Zachary from The Green Rider Series by Kristen Britain, though his WEAPON Fastion is also a really great character..but i seem to fall for the kings and Karigan, the main character, love plight...they deeply fell for each other yet, by the rules of society they cannot be together, she is a simple daught of a merchant in a bought clan and he alas is the king and is below his station to even notice her because she is a merchant, but he fell in love with her the first time they met,when she, just recovering from a hard ride that took her far from her intended path of her way home, told him how to run his kingdom and stormed out of his thrown room....it greatly amused him and ever since then he is always taking pains to take care of her.

LOL, the only one I could think of would be Fred from Harry Potter. I don't know, I liked Fred better than George for some reason even though I can't tell them apart. When I was spoiled about the ending for the 7th book, it made me so mad. I couldn't read it. I still can't seem to bring up the courage to read it. ;_; </3

Oh wait! Another one I just thought of was Legolas <3 I don't know if he'll count though since I never read the books, but seen the movies. D;

There was another elf character that I absolutely LOVED, who was from the Banned and The Banished series by James Clemens. I don't remember the elf's name though... ubber sadness.

@Ryohko - Haha, ya I was in love with Legolas for a while too for a while in High School. Then I got over it XD Partially because as handsome as Orlando Bloom is, he really isn't that great an actor <.< My opinion though. Haha

Lulz, I love Orlando Blooms though that's a lie cause whenever I think of Orlando Bloom Legolas comes to mind. >3< I'm not as obsessed as I used to be though for me it's because I'm starting to find him over-rated. I love some of his movies though. Funnily enough, I also think of POTC whenever I think of Orlando Bloom, but Legolas totally pwns Will Turner. x3!

I fall in love with characters from books all the time. Drzzt from Forgotten Realms, Jean-Claude from the Laurell K. Hamilton Anita Blake series, in fact, I seem to keep falling for demons lately. I've been ready some great books that have to do with demons and I find myself wishing I could find one to keep for real.

Melaniecat, I have a friend who looooves Drzzt as well. I started reading the books recently but I still haven't finished.

As for myself I have always loved Daniel from Interview with a Vampire and Queen of the Damned. He didn't have a very large role but there was something very appealing about him to me.

A character*giggles* More like a dozen. xD
But my two favorite Characters of all time are Nathaniel and Jean-Claude from the Anita Blake Vampire Hunter Series.

Alright! I confess! I fell in love with Dustfinger from Inkheart the moment I read the book and yes, Harry Potter as well. Oh and I have a bit of a fondness for Artemis Fowl actually.

Okay okay I confess, I fell in love with Wizard Howl from Diana Wynne Jones' "Howl's Moving Castle" but not the one from the animated movie. Read the book and you'll see that they are same character but two different people.

I still get giggly about Louis from Interview with a Vampire, and it doesn't help that when I think of him I think of Brad Pitt XD.

And of course, Mr. Darcy. No one can resist Mr. Darcy!!

I fall in love with any romantic characters like from a book called "Hallowmere" I like Uncle William. And of course Erran. otherwise from the Twilight series was jacob not edward and then from Harry Potter it was the twins. And of course the last one would be Vampire kisses and it would be alexander of course (theres a manga for this one) lol.

Goodness, there are so many books I've read and so many heroes I wish existed...

I guess Gambit doesn't really count, since he's from a comic book, but he's definitely #1 no matter where I go. Dustfinger had a definite charm that I could not deny; and as much as my heart fell seeing so many "Edwards" and Twilight-related loves, I must admit that I fell for Jacob rather hard. I fell in love with the relationship of the main characters from a silly paperback novel called Old Magic, and Holden from the Catcher in the Rye.

Odd Thomas: from, you guessed it 'Odd Thomas'... he is kind of a dork and it's endearing... oh yea and he can cook :P

Howl: from 'Howl's Moving Castle'... i'm kind of drawn to that sarcastic/crude exterior but he's really a marshmallow

Jasper Hale: from the Twilight series... sure he was all quiet throughout almost the whole series and tried to kill the protagonist... we all have our problems... but his story made me like him oh so much more! also, who doesn't like a southern boy? ;)

Acheron: from the Dark Hunter series...tall, dark, and handsome? check!... likes kids and pets? check!... he also plays video games, reads manga, and likes Godsmack... i think it's a perfect match!

Lestat and Marius from Vampire Chronicles and Raistlin Majere from Dragonlance. .......I love Raistlin...........
