I'm a really childish person when it comes to reading, so I still love many of the little books I used to read. When i was about five, my dad used to read the Harry Potter's to me, but i used to fall asleep through them. :/
but my favorite book, form when I was little, would be "The Rainbow Fairies". I used to love sitting there reading them, by myself, thinking i was so very clever being able to read. :)

I didn't aquire my favorite book untill the age of nine. It was a simplified version of Pilgrim's Progress called Little Pilgrim's Progress. I found it in my old room when I went back to my stepdad's for a weeked after my mother passed, along with a few non related letters written by her hand. These items found their way quietly into my bag, and that book was read many, many times over the years.
The book is about a young boy who recives a scroll inviting him to take a pillgrimage to the Celestial City, leaving behind his town and his siblings so he can live with the King and his decessed mother. It of course is a very difficult journy freinds are made and lost, mistakes are made, but when someone dies in the service of the King they do go directly to the Celistial City, and Christian meets them all again when his journey is complete.
Tho nowadays everything I own can fit in my car with enough room for a passenger, I still have that book, and oddly it isn't in very bad shape, I mean it rode in my bag though all sorts off weather, was read while childhood me ate and drank, and read many, many times and yet the binding is still strong and there is only lite water damage on most of the pages.

Thankyou
Golem

I loved Amelia Bedelia as well! But as for my favorite childhood book, I can't remember. I've always loved reading, so I can't really name one book that I felt I had to read over and over again.

I read adult fantasy really early on. Of course I loved C.S. Lewis Narnia series, But my main ones were Mercedes Lackey Valdamar books. Also Anne McCaffery's Melody trilogy. I ead a lot as a child. Almost all fantasy, with a bit of sci-fi.

When I was in fourth grade, I read Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIMH. I fell deeply in love with it, and it inspired my love for mice. I kept them as pets for quite a few years in my youth. I regret ever giving that book away.
