The last book I bought was Black Magic Sanction by Kim Harrison, the latest book in her series "The Hollows". Last one I bought before that was (I think, can't remember where I placed the book to be sure) Beyond the Body Farm: A Legendary Bone Detective Explores Murders, Mysteries, and the Revolution in Forensic Science by Bill Bass and Jon Jefferson.

I haven't read any of them yet because I'm currently reading other books atm. Although I'm hoping I picked out the right purchases, especially since I was able to finally get a hold of Howls Moving Castle.
Howl's Moving Castle is one of my favorite books! :3

I just bought Dead Over Heels by Charlaine Harris, I haven't finished it yet but I do love that series.

I think the last book I bought was "The Literary Experience" which is the text book for my Intro to Lit class. I'm not sure if I bought that before or after I bought "Death of a Salesman" and a book that has Sophocles's "Antigone" "Electra" and "Philoctetes" in it.

I recently went to a book fair and acquired what I consider to be quite a nice selection of books. I was really pleased as some of them I had recently been contemplating purchasing. (: In no particular order:

Quote:
Theories of Women's Studies Edited by Gloria Bowles and Renate Duelli Klein
The Spectre of Comparisons: Nationalism, Southeast Asia and the World by Benedict Anderson
New Zealand: Government and Politics Edited by Raymond Miller
A Critical and Cultural Theory Reader Edited by Antony Easthope and Kate McGowan
Poverty and Development into the 21st Century Edited by Tim Allen and Alan Thomas
Social Anthropology in Perspective by I. M. Lewis
Modern Political Ideologies by Andrew Vincent
Once Were Warriors by Alan Duff
The Rise and Fall of the Third Chimpanzee by Jared Diamond
CyberFeminism edited by Susan Hawthorne and Renate Klein
Sexual Meanings: The Cultural Construction of Gender and Sexuality edited by Shenry B. Ortner and Harriet Whitehead
Nisa: The Life and Words of a !Kung Woman by Marjorie Shostak
The Beauty Myth by Naomi Wolf
Beauty and Misogyny: Harmful Cultural Practices in the West by Sheila Jeffreys
Feminist Politics and Human Nature by Alison M. Jaggar
The Elementary Structures of Kinship by Claude Levi-Strauss and translated by J. H. Bell, J. R. von Sturmer, and Rodney Needham
Leviathan by Hobbes and edited by C. B. Macpherson
A History of Anthropological Theory 2nd edition by Paul A. Erickson and Liam D. Murphy
Lenin: Selected Works by...well Lenin o.o no idea who translated it v.v
Fidel Castro Speaks Edited by M. Kenner and J. Petras
I only purchased them this Friday just gone by (my time). As such I have only had time to read one of them. Theories of Women's Studies proved to be a really interesting read. It provided some really interesting and important critiques of theory and methodological approaches to research. I have previously read Nisa, indeed it was the first ethnography I ever read! I find it to be a really useful and highly important work.

The books I last bought were Dragon Heir and the fourth to the Fablehaven series. I really likes the Fablehaven book. It had twists that were enjoyable and sadly, but not totally unexpected, some of my favorite characters died. It always happens... But, I haven't gotten around to reading Dragon Heir since I need to re-read Warrior and Wizard Heir since I forgot so much of it.

Last books I bought were Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief (the one that inspired the movie, not the movie version one), and The Vampire's Assistant that think had like 3 books in one, including the one that also inspired the movie.

Book versions way better than the movies, though did like the movies themselves too. Definitely notice some differences and in the case of the Cirque de Freak: The Vampire's Assistant not being bloody enough for being a movie about vampires, the book covers it fine (in my opinion at least).
