They have this for Movies, but what are your favorite book quotes?
Please tell us the book title and author, and post as many quotes as you like.

Mine's from Sherrilyn Kenyon's book "Acheron". From the same book is
Quote:
"We're a family. Psychotic, Bizzare, and a hodgepodge of personalities that should probably never be blended, but here we are. Let's go kick some ass.
"

Pride and Prejudice and Zombies.

Quote:
It is a universally accepted truth that a zombie in possession of brains must be in want of more brains.
This just tickles me, for some reason. =P

Not necessarily my favourite quotes, but two that almost made me break into a laughing fit in public today:

Quote:
"You're Hell's Angels, then?"
[...]
The four strangers nodded.
"What chapter are you from, then?"
The Tall Stranger looked at Big Ted.
[...]
REVELATIONS, he said. CHAPTER SIX.
Quote:
"The show that put the FUN back into Fundamentalist!"
Both out of "Good Omens" by Neil Gaiman & Terry Pratchett. Two of my favourite authors in one handy book. ;)

One of my favorites would have to be from Alice's Adventures in Wonderland/Through the Looking Glass by Lewis Carroll.

Quote:
Alice laughed, "There's no use trying," she said, "one can't believe impossible things."
"I daresay you haven't had much practice," said the Queen. "When I was your age, I always did it for half-an-hour a day. Why, sometimes I've believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast."

I LOVE BOOK QUOTES!!!!! I just have a terrible memory, so I can't remember most of them!!!! Here are some of my favorites, though:

From Tithe, by Holly Black

Quote:
She loved the serene brutality of the ocean, lobed the electric power she felt with each breath of wet, briny air.

Being a mother******* genius wasn't enough. You needed to be a rich mother******* genius.

You can break a thing, but you cannot always guide it afterward into the shape you want.
From Pride and Prejudice:

Quote:
What are men to rocks and mountains?
I know, I know, it's a pitiful list. But I just can't remember all of them!!!!

This is short, but I like it. It's from Ironside by Holly Black.

@Azilianna; your quote tags were right, you just spelt 'quote' wrong. Otherwise, they would have worked just fine. :]

Quote:
In short, the torture was beginning to work its spell on a brain unprepared for it.
I just always took a liking to this line for some reason.
From Gaston Leroux's Phantom of the Opera. Raoul and the Persian were in the torture chamber at that time, which is pretty much a small room lined with mirrors and the heat of a tropical forest. An iron tree with a noose is in the corner so you can end your suffering.

Quote:
None of us can choose where we will love...
From Susan Kay's Phantom.
I'm such a looser.

Quote:
Why do people even take photographs, anyway? They're just reminders of what once was, of what you'll never get back. It's so masochistic.
From Anatomy of a Boyfriend by Daria Snadowsky.

Quote:
"It is true, that which I have revealed to you; there is no God, no universe, no human race, no earthly life, no heaven, no hell. It is all a dream - a grotesque and foolish dream. Nothing exists but you. And you are but a thought - a vagrant thought, a useless thought, a homeless thought, wandering forlorn among the empty eternities!"

He vanished, and left me appalled; for I knew, and realized, that all he had said was true.
From Mark Twain's Mysterious Stranger. Written beautifully.

Quote:
I know God doesn't make mistakes, and if I'm gay it's because that's what he wanted. What you wanted. And I think the challenge is to get everyone else to see that. This is their test not mine.
Thinking Straight, by Robin Reardon

Quote:
"What are you?" he asked cautiously.
"Human"
"That's a little odd, don't you think?" he asked raising an eyebrow.
Kingdom Come Home, by Artemis Held

Quote:
"Orange and black are the same color, if you just look at the problem from a different view. You have to believe that they are the same color, look at both of them, and extract the unextractable. Really simple if you have the mind of a 4 year mad scientist."
"What the hell does that mean?" Tobi asked confused.
"Happy Hallow's Eve!"

From Maximum Ride:
Quote:
"I'll grab a zebra; Gaz, you fill all the bubbles with your trademark scent so people are choking and gagging; and let's throw beef jerky in their eyes! Now, that's a plan!
Quote:
Fang: "Man, you weigh a freaking ton. What have you been eating, rocks?"
Max: "Why, is your head missing some?"
From Eragon:

Quote:
* Saphira: If anything happens, I'm going to pin you to my back and never let you off.
* Eragon: I love you too.
* Saphira:Then I will bind you all the tighter.

The Zombie Survival Guide.

Quote:
Top 10 Lessons for Surviving a Zombie Attack:

1. Organize before they rise!
2. They feel no fear, why should you?
3. Use your head: cut off theirs.
4. Blades don't need reloading.
5. Ideal protection = tight clothes, short hair.
6. Get up the staircase, then destroy it.
7. Get out of the car, get onto the bike.
8. Keep moving, keep low, keep quiet, keep alert!
9. No place is safe, only safer.
10. The zombie may be gone, but the threat lives on.
Right on the back of the book too.

The 20th century dislike of romanticism is the rage of caliban seeing his own face in a glass.
The quotes go on with things like:

@ first post: I LOVE that line!

Mine is also from the Dark-Hunter series.
Quote:

"Well, there's a injury I have no intention of explaining."
But another favorite is from a book called "North Wolf". Short eexplanation. The girl was in a mental institution for because her mother thought she was insane after seeing a "werewolf".
Quote:
"I need something to do. Like right now, or I'm going to go insane."
"You've done that already. Choose something a little more original."
And last, but not least...
Quote:

I love book quotes!

Quote:
"I tell you to think black thoughts and you come up with that?!" the lieutenant had screamed. "Is a guinea pig bad? Do you consider a guinea pig the representation of all that is evil?"

"Maybe... if it's an evil guinea pig."

Here are some a Very small selection of my favourite quotes:

From Phantom by Susan Kay
Quote:
"Would you like to share the fate of a Chinese eunuch and cary your genitals around in a small jar of brine?" and "None of us can choose where we will love"
From Dracula by Bram Stoker
Quote:
"Listen to them, the children of the night, what sweet music they make"
From Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman
Quote:
"Gradually he realized that the Tube map was a handy fiction that made life easier but bore no resemblance to the reality of the shape of the city above. It was like belonging to a politcal party, he thought once, proudly, and then, having tried to explain the resemblance to the Tube map and politics, at a party, to a cluster of bewildred starnger, he had decided in the future to leave political comment to others."
From The Phantom of the Opera by Gaston Leroux
Quote:
The Opera Ghost truly existed...
