One of my favorites would have to be from Alice's Adventures in Wonderland/Through the Looking Glass by Lewis Carroll.

I just always took a liking to this line for some reason.
From Gaston Leroux's Phantom of the Opera. Raoul and the Persian were in the torture chamber at that time, which is pretty much a small room lined with mirrors and the heat of a tropical forest. An iron tree with a noose is in the corner so you can end your suffering.
