I just wanted to ask because once I went out with my BFF and her 3 sister she had a disgusting book about bugs , so she said don't worry it is fine she opened it and there were pictures of huge bugs and URGH I was about to get sick OMG I was going to kill her and she kept turning the pages and then I shouted "AHHHHH" she said frighteningly"what" and she throw the book away I said " you are showing me a book about bug and telling me what is wrong?" me and her started giggling and we couldn't stop :sweat: , so what is the most disgusting book have you ever read?

I'm still trying to figure out what was so gross about a book about bugs... They have some ugly ones I know. but as long as it isn't cockroaches I am fine.

Most disgusting book hmmm, guess I am just a book lover, i can't think of any disgusting ones.

The book that was with my friend had huge and yeah I mean huge huge cockroaches.

Piers Anthony's Shade of the Tree or Firefly—can't remember which it was; fortunately this was fifteen years ago almost. In a word: necrophilia. In three words: human/plant necrophilia. Graphic. *shudder*

I don't find much disgusting, but my brother has this book called the gross encylopedia or something like that, it's actually very interesting. Most disgustingly written book I've ever read though, would have to be Candide. It starts with 'once upon a time.....' Yeah, didn't get past page 1 of that. xD

That would probably be Call of the Wild by Jack London. We had to read it for school. In a nutshell, it's about a pampered dog that became a sled dog and reverted to its primordial instincts. It gave way too many details about the cannibalism and gore, though. Ick.

The most disgusting book I ever read was Darren Shan's Demonata series.

Now, I LOVE this series with all my heart. But some parts are just disgusting.

Like one part in book four:
Demon butterflies eat a guys eyeballs, lay eggs in the empty sockets, eggs hatch, and the maggost eat him alive. WITH DETAIL.

And this is a teen series. Great books but so gross and nightmare fueled.
