Well last night I had just finnished the book The Time Traveller's Wife and was not overly taken on it. I enjoyed the book, yes, but after all the reviews I had read about the film and the book I was expecting so much more from it.
I felt that a lot more could have been done with the characters, I felt that Clare was very one dimensional and Henry needed a little more work.
So I was wondering if anyone else here had read the book or seen the film and if so what were your veiws?

Actually, I read the book two and found that is very confusing....Time back, time forward, time back, present, forward...and it becomes a mess... I liked Henry though, I think he is a very strong, sentimental character who is living something other don't but...I didn't like Clare's character it seems sloppy for me...like "Oh, Henry!! I know I'm going to be your wife" but she can't know that, and that's the mess of it

I read it too, and was dissappointed. Like I initially liked it, although then it really got on my nerves. I hear the movie was pretty gash as well. :(

Yeah, I found the time jumps pretty annoying more than confusing. After reading the book it put me off watching the film, though a friend of mine went to see it and she said that she found it awful, worst film she had ever seen and she has seen a few flops.

I read it and thought that it was a load of crap. The time jumps annoyed me, Clare really annoyed me with her soppyness and her over reaction to everything! I really didn't enjoy the book and I have been telling all my friends not to read it or waste money going to see the film. I couldn't even finish the book I felt it was that bad.
