Statistically, it seems less and less people are reading. What about you guys?

I love to read. I have about 4 books going at once. I usually finish them all within 2-3 weeks, depending on how much time I get to read..

BTW, this should probably be in the book forum.

I'm always reading. I feel lost, incomplete without a good book in my bag. At least one book is on me at all times. I don't know why so many people don't read any more.

It seems tv had replaced reading and I don't like it. It takes away all the imagination. You see things through one person's eye, their vision. Personally i like my own vision of things, my own imagination to color the world I'm currently in.

I don't like to read, but if the book catches my attention, then, I'll read the book. And if I have to read something, then, I will read. Other than that, I don't read.

I love to read, but I'm usually procrastinating from it D:

Like, I wanna read many books but school gets in the way.

And I'm hungrily questing for the last two Artemis Fowl books, but I can't seem to find them anywhere D:

I read all the time, I don't know if fanfiction.net counts. I read a lot of fanfictions there. I've also have a couple books at home. Which I need to get to reading soon, but I get lazy. :P

I love reading, I just don't have time too, I think that's why less people are reading. School takes up time and most like to spend their free time on Facebook now a days XD but if I get the time I will read, just takes me a month to finish a book XD

Hi Rhet, I think this topic is more suited to the books forum, so I will be moving this thread there :)

I read a ton, just not usually books. My form of reading material these days is fanfiction. That way I don't have to search out new series to read, and I don't have to pay money for them or wait for them to be available at the library. Granted, there's a lot of fanfiction to sift through to find the really good stuff, but the good stories are out there. I think I read about 2-4 hours per weekday, depending on my homework and tests for my college classes, and more on the weekends.

I spend a lot of time checking out books from my college library. Every month I haul around twenty books home. I still do research for some of my school assignments from books. I like novel versions of movies because you can see what the people are thinking at a particular moment.

Statistically, huh? I wonder where those people got their information because I highly disagree.

With so many hit series out that fly off the shelves in both the library and book stores I think that this is a presumption. The world is just so focused on the multimedia trend that it refuses to be aware of how popular books absolutely still are.

I read quite a lot, less this year than last though because life has been a bit crazier, but I still read every chance I get.

READING =AMAZINGNESS!

Ha Ha. I just love seeing how different authors describe their characters or overall the styles of different writing, although I mostly enjoy any kind of fiction. Real facts just don't seem to interest me. I don't know why. Hmm. I'm more of a dreamer anyway. Reality only holds me down! XD

Anyway, I read a lot. Especially lately. I can't seem to read enough! T.V is only good sometimes when I don't have a good book. lol.

I love to read. Unfortunately, because of work, and lack of decent lighting in my room plus laziness of being in another room late at night, my reading rythm has decreased, leaving only weekends to read.

I love reading. I have 3/4 books that I read all at the same time. What's odd is that I can keep track of which characters are in what series. XD
With having two part time jobs, sometimes it is hard for me to keep up with my reading when I get the books from the library and they are due by a certain time if you don't get them done in time before taking them back. Drives me insane sometimes. Lol.

I read almost constantly, though I have some month long "dry spells" at times. I started going to school where there's a library right across the street. As soon as I get my hands on a library card, I'll be checking out all kinds of books. You can check out up to thirty at a time. I tried to check out fourteen last time I was there, but my mom wouldn't lend me her library card.

I also re-read my old favorites a lot. Books like the Dragonlance series, and The Adventures of Alice in Wonderland.
