Has anyone seen the trailer for the new move The Potrait of Dorian Grey? It stars the guy who played Prince Caspian as Dorian. I loved the book and I saw an old movie on TCM that was pretty close to the book but I'm skeptical about how well modern Hollywood will portray the book. It did make me want to read the book again however.
Ever read the book? Like it? How do you feel about the idea of a new movie?

never saw the trailer for it but I read the book. I liked it a lot but its not for anyone who doesn't have a good grasp on the English language or for people who aren't familiar with terms from other era.... lol those people would spend a lot of time looking back and forth at the index trying to figure out what's being said :)

I loved the book so so much! It's one of my favorite classics ever. It's an absolute materpeice, breathtaking and with such great characters! It has possibly my favorite book ending ever.
I've never seen the old movie and am a little nervous for the new one, but I do intend to see it. I believe it's been out in the UK, and I've been wondering when it will come to the United States, if at all.

I had just recently purchased the book, and I'm really looking forward to reading (the rest of) it. So far from what I read, it's very good.

I also really loved that book. So much that I had several pets named after the characters in it, at one point.
It would be nice to see a movie version using modern technology. Most movie adaptations these days aren't as hideous as they were say, back in the 80's. It's been a VERY long time since I saw the old movie, though.

Actually Guivre I think the UK did a recent adaption of the book into a movie this year. The title has just been shorted to just plain ol' Dorian Gray for the movie. Ben Barnes, is Dorian. >=/
