William Shakespeare was one of the greatest play writers or writer of all time. He tells it all. tragety, love, betrayal, life, even history.
which is your favorite?

I'm quite fond of a few of his works.
My absolute favorite has to be Othello though. It's heartbreaking! Yet still, somehow, no matter how many times I read it, Iago remains my favorite character from the book. Just for his clever cunning!!

The others I like are A Midsummer Nights Dream, Romeo and Juliet, and last but not least, The Tragedy of Julius Caesar. All of them are AMAZING plays.

I love all of his works, and i actually find it funny that people try to create shows or movies based on his plays. but anyways, i say Macbeth, Hamlet are pretty good. And Caesar was great. The 12th Night is my favorite though. *winks*

Play write, is the correct word, not writers. (:

I enjoyed Hamlet although Othello holds more sentiment while reading it in school.

Among the tragedies, I'd have to say Hamlet. Just for some of the monologues--for instance, the "what a piece of work is man" speech. Among the comedies, I'd have to say Twelfth Night, for the movie adaptation with Helena Bonham Carter and others--it focuses on the gender aspect of it in a really clever way.

I love Shakespeare. I started reading his works in grade 4.

My favorites are: Midsummers Night Dream, Much Ado about Nothing, Macbeth, Hamlet Romeo and Juliet, and the Tragedy of Caesar.

When I was in grade 7, I was in a drama class at my local theatre. There were 6 girls in the class, and we decided to put on Hamlet. Ok, we played and cut things a bit (we had to, based on time we had and the number of us). And it turned out pretty decent. ^.^

I love Shakespeare. He was an amazing writer.
He's one of the reasons why I love History so much and speaking in his language. <3
My favorite pieces from him has to be Hamlet. I just love Ophelia so much. I have this weakness for normal characters going insane and/or killing themselves. They just make the story. <3

I just finished reading Hamlet for the third time, this time as a class reading assignment. [The other two were for fun~] I knew more than the teacher. It was amusing~

I loved The Tragedy of Julius Caesar, but that's because my teacher was acting it out.

Romeo and Juliet was okay as was The Scottish Play.

A midsummer's night dream I haven't really read but it sounds good.

ive only read romeo and juliet (partly because i cant realy understant the concept of the others)

ive also seen the 1996 movie and the anime but they couldnt realy compare to the play.
the movie version made in 1996 was kind of confusing the modern twist to it was uderstandable but i would chose THOSE actors.the main actor i did enjoy was the one who played romeo montague.(i forget his name i know he was in titanic though)
the anime was waaaay off but it did add some fantasy to it and i could enjoy it.

Hamlet by far is my favorite play. I still have my very first copy I ever got of it. The cover has been taped on twice. It's stained from being accidentally dropped in a mud puddle. It had highlighting marks and pen notes through the whole thing. I have a new copy but my first copy shows how much I enjoyed it.

Hamlet is by far my favorite. Of course, Romeo and Juliet is a close second. I've just began reading Titus Andronicus, and it's pretty good. I've also read Othello and A Midsummer's Night Dream. But I've noticed that no one has mentioneds his poetry. His sonnets are of course genius, but I also love Venus and Adonis.

I really enjoy Shakespeare. I've read Romeo and Juliet, Twelfth Night, Hamlet, A Midsummer's Night Dream, and The Tempest. I enjoyed Twelfth Night best out of all of them. My school is putting on a production of Macbeth in the spring and I'm excited for that. Also, every year we do this thing called Shakespeare Festival where we do a bunch of skits during the school day related to Shakespeare. Most of them are 5 minute reenactments of plays, but there are some modern things in there, too. So, Shakespeare in Love was the best movie ever. XD <3

I like Romeo and Juliet the best. Even though the story ends with a tragety the story is great. I love it very much. :)
