Horror movies are total love! It's hard to find ones that are original/well done, though - or maybe I`m just really picky . .

Trouble for me is, I generally don't have any books I want to buy off Amazon all at once - or at least, orders of three/six. I generally end up spending more money than I can afford book-wise, and around where I used to live ( I moved recently, and there's no book store or anything similar for about 81 miles, but there is a library about a five minutes walk from my house, which is great. . if only they had more of a selection of things to read :'P ). I do a bunch of Christmas shopping on Amazon though, specially for books and even more so when there's the Black Friday-sale-week thing going on ( I`m not sure what they call it, it's been a while Dx ).

I have no clue! I just know that it was another book turned into a movie, and I`ve been wondering about it. It probably is a short story, now that I think about it. The movie was really weird, and I remember the creatures called ' Langoliers ' were really scary to me as a child.

Odd, isn't it? I had no clue he'd had movies made either, but supposedly there are a few - I`m going to do some research on them before too long, I think.

I agree. Most of the ones I've been watching are like the fourth in a series. And the bad guy died in the first one. Stabbed, bashed, dropped off a cliff, burnt, and blown up. Then he comes back in the next one perfectly fine. I hate that.

That is true. I end up just waiting to buy books. Then buy in huge amounts. Usually around 10 books at a time.
That's actually funny. I did the black friday on amazon this year and bought everyone in my family dvds, and video games. I bought like $300 worth of stuff for a little over $100.

I bet it was. I'll have to look through my books later to see if I have it.

I'll have to too. I would love to see his movies.

I adore Dean Koontz, I just can't seem to get into King's books although I respect him and think he's a wonderful author. As for favorites, I think my favorite of Koontz's books will always be Door to December, since it was the first I read and just loved it, but the Odd Series is really on it's heels as favorite.

The first Dean Koontz I read was "Watchers." It is still one of my favorites along with "Lightning," and "The Bad Place."

I have read a few of Dean Kootz' books and I enjoyed them. HOWEVER, his style of writing and wording is really annoying. I do not like how he has to describe in one to two parahgraphs of detail about something very insignificant. Not only that, but he repeats himself several times in some of his books, that it's just extremely annoying. It's as if he thinks the reader is stupid and has forgotten about some things...for the tenth time.

I like his storylines, but his writing is terrible. I just recently tried reading Fear Nothing; I got to chapter 26 (annoyed the whole time, but still wanting to finish it), but I gave up and closed the book. Good thing it wasn't a purchase, but I instead checked it out from the library. It would have been a waste of money.

With that, I choose Steven King.

Now I feel the same way about King. His shorter books are better but the times I've read his longer ones I feel I learn way to much about the characters. By the end of the book I know more about his characters then I do about myself. And it is not like all of this is have to know stuff, it's just extra information.

Guiltly, I can't even choose sides, since I don't even really read anything by Steven King. I've read maybe one or two books? I don't think that's enough for me to make a strong judgment about his writing techniques.

I suppose every other might do exactly what I dislike about Dead Koontz style, some are just really noticable and others are not.

I might be biased to since I read a King book that around 1000 pages then read a 300 page Koontz book. Just the difference in page count made me happy. And my poor sore arms.
