>.< I must satisfy my lust for more books D<
So far I'm quite happy with what I've got recently: The Kindly Ones (based on the WWII era and Nazis :O), Bram Stoker's 'Dracula' and some selected works by Edgar Allan Poe. Still..
it's not enough D8
Any good books you could tell me to find?

The Vampire Chronicles by Anne Rice are amazingly good! Start with Interview with the Vampire. Also, Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen, The Giver by Lois Lowry, etc. Sorry if that's no help to you.

Since you're listing darker books...
I recently finished Inferno, edited by Ellen Datlow. It's a collection of short horror stories, and it was actually quite good.
I'm reading The Living Dead, edited by John Joseph Adams, right now, and it's a collection of zombie stories. I'm really digging it so far. =D

The cirque Du Freak novels are really ,honestly, really good. They are a really easy read but it's really good. You fall in love with the characters easily and it's a really quick and easy read. Uh, for a more deeper and harder read I'd suggest Twelfth Night by Shakespeare. It's hilarious, if you've ever seen Shes the Man (Amanda Binds) well thats the modern version of it. I love it I'm doing a scene in drama class with it and its really good. Uhh, yea I feel like I'm rambling.

I've been reading this eye-opening book about the Exxon Valdez oil spill. The book is called "Sound Truths and Corporate Myths" by Dr. Riki Ott. AMAZING read so far. Its a thick book but a page-turner. I'm already 1/4 of the way through and I started last week (I only read it on the 1/2 hour bus ride). Highly suggest it!

Memoirs of a Geisha was a real page turner for me, but I dunno if you'll be into that sort of thing.
Full Tilt is also a good book, though it's been while since I've read it. It's about a carnival and some stuff happens that I can't really tell you unless you want major parts of the book spoiled!
And Interview with a Vampire is also great. One of my most favorite books of all time! c:

Pendragon I couldn't put down. it's a series of ten books. Fiction.
Jodi Picoult, her books I found amazing. I couldn't put them down either. I would get so mad at the characters, my friends wouldn't let me read in class because I would yell :P
My Swordhand is singing. Marcus Sedwick. Not sure about the spelling haha. I've read two of his books, that one and The Kiss of Death. Both good reads :)
Ellen Hopkins is good, her books of Crank, Glass, Burned, Identical, Impulse are really good!! She has another called Tricks, but I haven't read that one quite yet.

Hmm.. well.. what kind of books do you like?
I would recommend the Knife Of Never Letting Go for anyone who enjoys fast-paced action and lots of cussing xD
But if you don't like that kinda stuff...
I would recommend Dancing with Elvis or anything from Chicken Soup for The Soul books.

"Ramses; or the Mummy" by Anne Rice. AMAZING NOVEL.
Basically anything by Anne Rice. And Stephen King. And I will never get tired of Edgar Allan Poe's works.
"Girl, Interrupted" by Susanna Kaysen isn't so bad either. Libba Bray isn't a bad author. Hmmm...
"Sea Legs" by Alex Shearer is HILARIOUS. Should definitely read it.
Lisa See is an amazing author.

I can't really recommend anything new to you right now, but I just have to express my delight at The Kindly Ones. I have never met anyone else who knows it. I have to admit, I didn't finish it because my life is stupid, but I'm planning on picking it up and starting again soon. It excites me. =D

Regular Fiction: "Juliet, Naked" by Nick Hornby or "Horns" by Joe Hill or "The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo" by Stieg Larsson
Mystery: "This Body of Death" by Elizabeth George (newest in a series) or the NCIS novels by Mel Odom
Fantasy: "Wolfbreed" by S. A. Swann or The Dresden Files series by Jim Butcher or "Under Heaven" by Guy Gavriel Kay
Sci-fi: "Wake" by Robert J. Sawyer (can't think of a second)
Biography: "Always Looking Up" by Michael J. Fox or "Playing With Fire" by Theoren Fleury (technically sports, but what the hey)
History & Politics: "Shake Hands With the Devil" by Romeo Dallaire or "The Pacific" by Hughs Ambrose
Teens: the Gone series by Michael Grant or "The Light" by D. J. MacHale
Other: "Rescue Ink" by Rescue Ink or "The Book of Awesome" by Neil Pasricha
These are some of the new books and best sellers from different genres and some I really enjoyed myself ^^

Ohhhh, I've always wanted to read Romeo Dallaire's book. It's basically the top of my non-fiction list of books to read. It just seems so fascinating and terrifying and, most importantly, eye-opening.

Whoah, I have a book called The Kindly Ones! Would the one you're talking about be written by Jonathan Littell, translated into English by Charlotte Mandell?

Why yes, it would be! I read an article in a magazine of mine (Maclean's) about it and decided I needed it, so I got it. Expensive though.

I found it hard to follow at first, but once you learn to ignore or understand things like army titles, it gets a little better. I have to say, the introduction (or first chapter? I can't remember) was my favourite part. I really enjoyed hearing his preamble to the story.
