Greetings.

My mom bought me this book, Evernight by Claudia Gray, and I'd love to read it, but after the first two pages I started to get kinda o_o

I loved the Harry Potter-books but i didn't really like Twilight. Maybe I'm just drop-dead lazy at reading books but can someone recommend this book or tell me about it or just force me to bury it to the ground (i will if you want me to fwalks <3)

And if Evernight sucks, can someone give me any other book-tips?

Thank ye~~

Ah...Evernight. I had to read it for my book club.

I don't think that it's a totally bad book; it's just a little slow, for my tastes. And a little cliche'd.

The writing isn't as bad as some books that I've read. Not as bad as Blue Bloods - or Twilight - at least.

The one pet peeve of mine is that some of the names sound really "preppy". I don't know why, but I hate names like that.
But that's off the subject.

I'll just say that if you're into vampires and teenage love/angst, go ahead and read it. It really depend on the type of person you are.

I will say, however, that Generation Dead, by Daniel Waters is a good book if you're into zombies. A whole different take on them. Very nice.

It depends on what kind of books you like. It does start out really slow and doesn't get good until the twist in the middle of it (or at least I was surprised by it, I really wasn't expecting it.) And the second book is even better than the first. I haven't finished reading the third book yet though. XD It's on my long list of books I just bought and am in the middle of reading.

Has anyone read Evernight, Stargazer, and Hourglass. I love these books. They are really good. If anyone hasn't read these, I'd suggest you to find them and read them. There's a fourth book coming out called Afterlife.

Since we already have a thread discussing Evernight, I've gone ahead and merged the two topics together.
