House of Leaves, anyone?

So I read House of Leaves (by Mark Z. Danielewiski) a while ago, but it was one of those books that never left me. Some books you can read and forget and it was a fun ride while it lasted, but it doesn't really stay with you.

House of Leaves stayed with me. I was wondering if anyone else read it and what anyone else thought of it? Did it scare you? Which parts?

And I'm curious how long it took you to read it. I read it in a single night because I honestly could not put it down I bought the book that mid-morning and read until some time between midnight and two that morning. I lost track of time.

I also heard that a lot of people weren't able to finish it, for varying reasons. If you couldn't, why not? Was it the plot? Was it the formatting of the text? Was the fact that it did have parts that were, well, trueish? [Though I use the word loosely.]
(The photograph, for example, is a real photograph and the photographer did win a prize for it and, if memory serves, committed suicide.)

Anyway, just wondering what Menewsha thought.

[As a side note, I used the search forum function to see if there was another thread like this and it came up with nothing. I am unsure if I used the search correctly. Does it search threads or just forum names?]
