What books do you like?
What style are they?
What era are they from? (when is the story set)

I like horror and sci-fi type of books.
Stephen King has it's own style, so it's that.
Normally in the 40's-50's, he seems to set the base in, then in the 90's/00's are his current plot.

What about yours?

Oh, I like dense nonfiction books. I just read Flat Earth News, No Simple Victory (about WWII), and now I am re-reading Evaluating Social Science Research. Then I like to take all those heavy concepts and try to make something light and whimsical with my fiction writing...

I quite enjoy historical fiction, mythology, historical romances, fantasy, Urban Fantasy, paranormal, classical lit (like Shakespeare, Jane Austen, The Bronte sisters)...
I don't quite know what style exactly.
Most of what I prefer is either Victorian Era, or Renaissance/Medieval, but I sometimes like modern.
