I prefer Harry Potter, I tried reading Twatlight, er I mean Twilight and I honestly just couldn't. I could barely get past the first sentence in book one, and the second sentence nearly killed my brain! I really can't stand her writing style. Then apparently there was a sex scene so I tried to find it, turns out it was just the blank! I forced myself like I did for the Red Pony to read and try to find the sex scene, just to see if she had any talent in that area. I guess not! Hah (:

From the first book of Harry Potter though, I've fully enjoyed it since the first book back when I read it in like 5th grade. XD Ever since then I've been a huge fan, haha! :D

i dont like either but harry potter over twilight any day for me twilight is for chicks and has emo vampires and retarded werewolves imo. harry potter while im not interested in it the story would be more enjoyable if i had to choose which to watch for the first time I would choose harry potter 10 times over to avoid seeing twilight even once.

Harry Potter. the twilight books are okay, but they totally screwed up the movie in my opinion. and harry potter at least mostly stayed with the books. plus, twilight is basically about how important it is to have a boyfriend, while harry potter is about confronting fears, finding strength, ect. and, who makes vampires sparkle?!?! vampires are suppose to be visioius.

Harry Potter, hands down. Harry Potter was better-written, by an author that's more lovable and respectful, and knows what the hell she's writing about. :XD Twilight, well, the Twi-hards are self-explanatory. :\ just like that sparkly...thing they call a vampire.

Pesonally i have no fun reading or watching Twilight. sorry i dont like sparkly gay emo vampires.. I tried reading harry potter but yeah, and I love the harry potter movies. HARRY POTTER is 100 imes better than twilight. it has a bigger plot behind it. Also twilight copyed off of harry potter by making their last movie into two. Twilights books are not that big of a deal. The last book of twilight wasn't as long as the last book of Harry Potter. so yeah/.. Harry Potter owns Twilights butt.

Harry Potter. :3 I loved the characters and plot. As for Twilight, well... I'll admit, I was a big fan at first. But then I reread it and it was horrible. I realized how much I hated the writing style. >_> And it bothered me that all my friends were like, "SQUEE EDWARD". With HP, I didn't mind as much, because I could agree with them. I love Ron.

Although I've read the Twilight books and can appreciate the love story within, I prefer Harry Potter.

Harry potter... thought I do own the entire Twilight saga. It was a good series but the movies are kinda one sided on the emotions of some characters. Harry potter gains my interest in the movies because of all the CGI and how well they make all the spells looks it is amazing!

Harry Potter. Nuff said.

The twins are the best. Nuff said.

Twilight should have ended at the first book. Nuff said.

(No offence intended for anyone)

Harry Potter, hands down. <333
I did read all the Twilight books, and they made me want to kill myself. The characters are flat and boring, the love story is completely ridiculous, and the writing is just horrid. So there's my opinion. ^^

Well...Twilight did introduce me to a world of reading.
And Twilight did give me something to look forward to.
But I'm tired of Twilight now.
I mean, yeah, I'll go see the new movies and I'll buy them...
But I'm just not as into it as I used to be.
Harry Potter is my world now. <3

Harry Potter hands down is the better series. Not only did J.K. Rowling create this amazing world for us. But she made us want to be there. Which of course then created the Pottermore craze -- but that's a different topic. It was believable for both adults and children. It is not just a children's book or a teen book, but an everyone book. Something that can be enjoyed by all in a family. Plus her writing is so much better.... not to mention she isn't a sell out like Stephanie Meyer was. When she sold the movie rights, she made sure in the contract it said that she had a say in all the scenes and all who played the characters et cetera et cetera. She had as much a hand in making sure the world truly came to life as she did in her writing it. where as Stephanie Meyer it seemed it was all about the money in my opinion....

Harry Potter is by far the better of the two....no contest.

After seeing the Twilight movie, I stopped reading Twilight. I never even made it to the second book.. the movie just ruined it for me too much.
As for Harry Potter, it has been a very long time since I've read it. I remember staying up all night because I didn't want to put down any of the books.

I have to say Harry potter.
Because the books and movies have more varity and really deep characters, Where as in my point of view the twilight books drag on a little and the appeal of them was washed away when the movies came out and they turned into a massive deal...

I can't choose which one I like better, simply because they really aren't similar at all. I don't understand why these two fandoms can't seem to get along. These two series really aren't comparable due to completely different topics, settings, and themes throughout the books.

I would have to say Harry Potter, J.K. Rolling is a great writer...and to carry on and have every book in her series made into incredible movies is fantastic.

I've read both series but honestly, Harry Potter wins hands down.

Twilight was alright until the end of the 1st book. After that it just kinda sucked. I mean the second and third book absolutely nothing happens and then the fourth book comes and just about everything was squished into it. Not to mention it took a really short time to write all those books.

However Harry Potter has depth and character development and surprising twists and turns and at the same time sounds believable; I mean really, sparkling vampires? Yeah right.

And it took time to make each book; it was something worth waiting to be published. My first book was the Chamber of Secrets and from then on I just had to know the story of Harry Potter. Honestly, there just isn't any competiton between the books.

Harry Potter is amazing. Nuff said =3

Definitely Harry Potter. The fanaticism surrounding Twilight rather turns me off of it to be honest and I'm not really into vampires or werewolves. I prefer magic to supernatural monsters any day.

Harry Potter hands down, the books were so easy to get into and the movies were so much fun to watch. They showed so many mythical creatures, and had tons of awesome magical gadgets. I can't stand twilight, I read it and it seemed like Belle had a drug problem and that drug was Edward. They only had 2 mythical creatures, and I'm sorry but bleeding heart vampires are so boring I like the vampires who are all about being a vampire with no remorse.

Harry Potter.
For the reason that Harry wasn't an abusive jerk. And Hermione wasn't a dimwitted girl who fell in love with an abusive jerk.
