^ that is an awesome link :) but then again, tumblr is full of Harry Potter lovers and Twilight haters so...not a really fair place to look for examples.
but anyway, I will have to say harry potter. I just love it too much. My kids will read it one day! (if i ever have any...that is.)

Harry Potter, most definitely.
Comparing these two books is kind of pointless anyway, in my opinion. Both of them are completely different genres and aimed for people in different age groups. I see Twilight more as a teenage romance book for girls, rather than fantasy book, which Harry Potter is. And they both consist of different style of writing.
And Twilight, in my opinion absolutely ruined the way vampires should be perceived. They're not supposed to be covered in body glitter. They're supposed to be bad and scary creatures.. sigh.

Harry Potter without question. I tried reading the first Twilight book and I just started laughing. It was pretty ridiculous and I really WANTED to like it, I did, I desperately wanted to believe there was something great about it. I did. But it is incredibly predictable, gives teens a bad message and not exactly a literary masterpiece. Plus Stephanie talks about stuff she really doesn't understand and made people angry, like she wrote about real towns and a real group of people and gave them the backstory about the werewolves and stuff causing lots of problems when stupid twi-hards came to disturb them.
Harry Potter on the other hand doesn't tell teen girls that if their crush doesn't want them that they should jump off a cliff and pretend to kill themselves but instead teaches kids about sacrifice and banding together in an incredibly creative scenery.

Harry Potter 100%! The characters, the writing, the scenarios, the set up, the history, everything is great. Now I don't like the last book for its excess of facts to the point where 3 people who read the book and all finished at the same time had completely different ideas of what the heck happened (this happened with me, my mom, and aunt).
But to quote my mom after she read most of the first book but could not finish "My god...if she could describe the dirt under her fingernails, she would" lol that and my own hatred for the final book.
I read half of it and couldn't get through any more of it because of its stupidity. Kind of like the Batman movie where they brought in every known bad guy, this book creates random characters with names and background stories with no purpose other than to fill space. Also the pace changes very often and its disjointed.
Enjoy what you will but for me? To recap...Harry all the way!

Harry Potter, she was able to create a whole world full of creative and amazing things and I'm not the hugest fan of romance novels. I'd take fairy tales over romance any day.
