David Eddings is an author whose writing style has inspired me for all of my life, and his books are the only ones that I have been able to enjoy more than 4 times over.
The only problem is, when I mention him, NO-ONE HAS ANY IDEA WHO HE IS.
Until I find someone who does! And in those moments, I feel I have a deep connection with the person who also loves Eddings.
So I ask anyone who loves Eddings as well to speak up! R.I.P. David and Leigh!

They are very interesting! If you ever want to get into the world of Eddings, I suggest you start with the series called The Malloreon. It's by far my favorite series, and a great launchpad into David's books. :)

Okay. Hope I can find the books in Dutch!
But it's strange here are not so much books of him. I see : The Belgariad and Polgara the sorceress. And some more but they are not in the library where I go..

David Eddings is awesome. I love Danae/Aphrael. She's so blimming adorable for a god with that much power. And of course, Sparhawk is pure awesome. Yeah, the Elenium and the Tamuli are my favourites.

Belgarion and Polgara are pretty much the history of two of the main characters in the Belgaraid and the following series, so I wouldn't suggest reading that first. :P
And Danae is so adorable!! XD For me, Sparhawk isnt quite as good as Garion, but the Belgaraid got me through some tough times. ^-^;

Yeah, its wonderful. :) Books can make everything much better when things look bleak, and sometimes there's nothing better than losing yourself in a make believe world. :)

Ah, the joys of escapism :) I did that for almost my entire freshman year. That's actually the year I discovered Eddings I think.

Hooray for finding Eddings through escaping from reality then, I guess? :D

Indeed :) I found Raymond E Fiest and Robin Hobb in the same year. That was the year I swore by "If it's long, it must be good."

Heck yes! The Belgariad Series was awesome. Excuse my spelling~ :D I loved it. Silk was always my favorite character. I love the scene when Silk throws a guard off the wall and is like: Hmm? Oh, I was teaching him how to fly. And when asked if it worked he leans over the edge of the wall, cocks his head to the side and then turns back to the questioner and says: Does bouncing count?

SO MUCH LOVE.

lol, I love that series too! And there was a quote from I think the sequel (it's been awhile since I read the books.) that I enjoy. ...(I tried looking it up to no avail) ... I cannot remember for the life of me. The only thing that I can remember about it was that it was Polgara to Beldin, and I think it was about soup. Does anyone know? It's going to drive me nuts now.
