Have you ever picked up a book, started reading, and winced? I did today. It did get better, but the book began like somebody had told a twelve year old to practice their language features.

I think the point of this thread is to discuss badly written books.. Is the quality of books declining with more authors self publishing? Or do you think that people care less about the style of writing now because the movie will come out soon anyway?

I've had that happen, yes. It made me re-read the sentence twice or third time to actually figure out if what they were saying implied this or that. Though I should have figured about the self-publishing author. I haven't heard of that until now. >>; I shouldn't be surprise but I am. -gonk-
