I see a lot of love for Anita Blake (I like Laurel K. Hamilton's series as well! At least the earlier ones), but not so much for Ms. Armstrong.

Personally, I think that the Women of the Otherworld books are better, and I love how the characters are all connected, but have their different stories. Nothing makes me happier than seeing my favourite werewolf pack cameo in the other books, and vice versa.

My favourites are the Bitten books of course, I think Elena is one of the most kickass female protagonists ever, and a werewolf to boot. <3

But I just bought 'Spellbound' (Sequel to 'Waking the Witch') and I'm starting it now. I must say I like Savannah, she's got spunk.

Anyway, who else reads Kelly Armstrong's novels? I grab them up whenever I see one, I have almost the whole Women of the Otherworld series, and her short stories as well. ^__^

I've read one of her stories. That trilogy about the kids with supernatural powers? I can't remember the name right now, but one of the books is called The Reckoning.

That trilogy was also pretty good, I read all three of them. It was very different though, because they are her only young adult books I believe. The other ones can have some fairly racey sex bits, but nothing like what happened to the Anita Blake series. Her other series generally center around young adult female protagonists, as opposed to teenagers.

Ahh, that explains why I haven't read them. Haha, I tend not to stray too far from the teen and "free" fiction sections of my library.

The Otherworld books are enjoyable. The plots are a bit more simplistic than other books you might find, but sometimes that can be refreshing. :)
