I didn't see one for Beastly, sorry if it's a repost.

Beastly! Read it? I fell in love with it! It's much better than the movie, in my opinion. I can read it over and over again! It cut my favorite part in the book to just a short clip in the end of the movie. :/

Your thoughts?

I saw the cover of the movie, and was intrigued. So it's worth looking for the book?

I really loved the book! The characters were easily likable and the plot was well-developed. I never saw the movie, but it looked like a really butchered version of the book. I thought the main character was supposed to be hairy and animal-like, like Beast from Beauty and the Beast? Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought that, from the trailer, that the main character was turned into a guy with lots of tattoos. :/ Plus, Vanessa Anne Hudgens? I thought that the female part was supposed to be played by a mildly unattractive ginger girl.

Yeah, you're right about that. In the movie, even his name is different. He's full of tattoos and he's bald, that's his "beast" look. The movie is a let down from the book. There's so many things that I found a little too different.

I read the blurb on the book, and it sounded like an interesting retelling of Beauty and the Beast. It is one that's on my list to check out, especially reading the commentary above for it.

I've just read Beastly! I liked the book much more than the movie, but that's just me; I think all books are better than their movie counterparts. I feel like the movie kind of strayed away from the whole "beast" idea... :/

Sorry, I saw this and nearly died.
I love Beastly. It is what revived my love of the Beauty and the Beast story. I honestly do not like what the movie did to the book. The book it totally worth reading. It is short but tells so much in such a short amount of time.
I love that author's work and how she is able to redo the classic fairytales into a modern setting and still keep to the original theme of the story.
I kind of want to re-read it now that I saw this. I was just caught off guard because the book is really recent(well I was in high school when I read it and it had been out for a while then I think so maybe about 5 years when I first read it). I guess the movie did spark an interest in it but I dislike it when people judge a book based on what the movie was like.
Anyway carry on. ^-^
