Oh okay. Wesley generally does have everything go his way. He wants to be on the bridge, he gets to be on the bridge. He wants to be treated with respect, he is. He is able to solve the world's problems very easily. He is the top of his class when he does go to Starfleet. He wants something more than Starfleet, he gets it... walking through Time.

I've never disliked a Mary Sue character. I mean, not all characters have to have flaws, right? It's a book/fanfiction/RP for Christ's sake. I just dislike it when Mary Sue characters get put down. I mean, yeah, it's nice to be able to relate to the character every now and then, but yeah.

Wesley, is he... popular among girls or just everyone? They may respect him but not necessary like him?
LOL, I kinda think that his snappy attitude fit him awesomely!

Yes there is a place for it.

Say you have an invasion of these creatures invading the land and the heros have to travel to find the source/a solution.
Now say they come across a special character near the end who can save them. Would it not be appropriate to allow them to have the solution? I've seen it very often in shows, books, animes, etc.

Mostly just things like a divine creature, a spirit creature, or something like that.

I actually have an OC who uses the "infinite magic" part of that. But I find adding other traits to make them less willing to offer their services makes it easier to place them in the story. Like my character is very... childish. She doesn't care about anything other than having fun, so unless threatened or compelled to help a playmate in utterly impossible to understand methods of communications she's just going to do... well... nothing.

Tons of main characters are like that... no control and then learning. Like Naruto would be a good example of that. Got a problem? Hit it harder! Problem solved.

Ah you would enjoy the comic Looking for Group Richard the powerful warlock is annoying to everyone... XD
Even if he is capable of destroying just about anything in the world.

lol. Most of the Gary Stu/Mary Sue... they are often the cool, calm type...
very rare to see them happy go lucky type...
hmm...
I think there are... but the impression of cool calm type is more common to me for the Stu and Sue.

I definitely prefer the cool calm types over the happy-go-lucky ones. They at least can keep their mouth shut for long enough that their presence can be ignored. XD That and their voice is likely more soothing to the ears.

There is someone I wondered if he was Gary Sue... Natsu from Fairy Tail... because the good people that are main characters don't die when the bad enemy attacks because somehow he gets stronger.

I don't know about Fairy Tail. I only saw a few episodes and watched a movie of it, but not enough to judge whether or not characters are mary-sue/gary-stu. Anime/manga is generally good about giving characters some defining flaws or tragedies, though, unless they are meant to be perfect(robots, demons, etc).

That is something I like about anime. There is always someone stronger. The beauty of Fairy Tail is that there is a lot of room for improvement and growth... and over a series of episodes, you are able to watch them grow and become stronger. It is something rare... they are not leveling up so much as growing.
