I am reading Burn by Brian Hammond. And what a book that is! A little synopsis:

Eric can't remember the recurring dream that keeps waking him in the middle of the night with an overwhelming urge to leave, yet he spends each day feeling as if he desperately needs to be somewhere. With no idea how to cure himself of this odd compulsion, he decides to let it take its course and go for a drive, hoping that once he proves to himself that there is nowhere to go, he can return to his normal life. Instead, he finds himself hurled headlong into a nightmare adventure across a fractured Wisconsin as the dream reveals itself one heart-pounding detail at a time.

I am in the midst of reading 'Hemlock Grove' by Brian McGreevy as I have seen the Netflix original series. It was pretty tripp-tastic and I was ever so curious to find out how the show rates in similarities. Also, I'm curious to see if some of the answers I had remaining after the show ended, would be answered in the book. Here's hoping!

I'm currently in between books - I'm reading 3 series at once: House of Night by P.C. Cast and Kristin Cast, Vampire Acadmey by Richelle Mead, and Vampire Kisses by Ellen Schreiber. Just finished Blood Promice from the VA series, Vampireville from VK, and I'm just starting on Marked from HoN. Have any of you read these books? I haven't heard of either book you guys are reading!

Oh! I've read the first Outlander book! I heard it was going to be a series. The guy they got to play Jamie seems a pretty good choice.

Emma Corrin, it's about this woman who goes back in time on accident and winds up in medieval Scotland. She falls for this bloke, Jamie, and in this particular book it's about how they meet/fall in love/ etc.

Oooh! That sounds awesome! Crazy as it sounds, I actually JUST saw a commercial about a show like that last night that's coming out in August - I didn't catch the name though - but the woman was like, walking around Stone Hedge and there were all these flash backs to period time while she was in modern clothing and then snippets and such about the past being the future - it looks really good! I'll have to keep an eye out for it and check out the book!!

Is it just one book or a series?

I'm restarting Night Watch by Sergei Lukyanenko. I plan to read through the whole series by August, if I can tear myself away from constantly rearranging my character's house in Wildstar. XD

Slowly finishing up "The Year of the Flood" by Margaret Atwood. It's very good so far, I love her coming of age novels!

Oh I love Margaret Atwood! I've only read one book by her but I LOVED it! The book was Alias Grace - soooo good! Definitely recommend it if you haven't read it yet! I first heard of her because one of the Halls at my previous college is named after her. :3 A lot of the English classes include at least one of her books! Alias Grace is a popular one :3

How are you liking it so far? Don't forget to pick up the novella about Bree Tanner! It's a great read once you finish the saga! :D

Currently I'm reading "Unfed", it's about zombies and was rated "Hilarious" by Charlie Higson, he lied, personally this book hasn't even made me chuckle.

My thread is still here!

I've been reading George R. R. Martin's "A Feast for Crows" like crazy lately. I can't put it down. I'm going to be well-prepared for the next season of Game of Thrones, that's for sure!

I just finished Hocus Pocus by Kurt Vonnegut. I love Vonnegut but I had never read that one. Definitely one of my favorites now (though Slaughterhouse-Five, as my first Vonnegut read, will probably always stay my favorite).

I'm reading a book called Dream Weaver, by Penina Keen Spinka. I found the first of the trilogy in a charity shop, and was drawn to the cover art which looked so much like that used in the early books of the Earths Children series by Jean M Auel. The book was said to use her distinctive style, but i didn't think they were overly comparable. It's still a good series in its own right though!

I'm currently reading Italo Calvino's Invisible Cities.

The book is written in really poetic prose and it's about Marco Polo telling Kublai Khan about the cities he has traveled to in the Khan's empire. The cities he describes aren't necessarily actual, physical cities. Instead they represent various abstract concepts. It had a great moment reading it when I found out that one of the cities shared my name. I never come across my name in anything.

I'm reading The Icarus Girl by Helen Oyeyemi. The writing is just lovely, and what blows my mind is she was my age when she wrote it- still in school! It's quite interesting because it's got an eight-year-old girl as the protagonist but I'd hesitate to call it even YA. An it's got a little buit of supernatural in it.
