I just picked up "The Land of the Sliver Apples" by Nancy Farmer. I read the first book "The Sea of Trolls" in my junior or senior year of high school and just now realized that there's a sequel. ^^;

Right now I'm reading The Crucible and Kite Runner - both for school.

I just started reading Vampire Kisses, by Ellen Schreiber. My library just put the graphic novel version on shelves, and I figured that I should at least familiarize myself with the characters before I read it. :). Besides that, it sounds interesting, and so far is.

i was given 2 good books as gifts for xmas.
i'm currently reading Remembrance by Jude Deveraux and next is Mitch Albom's 5 people you meet in heaven. : D

I just finished reading The Alienist and now I'm reading Perfume : The story of a Murderer and The Stolen Child.

It's the 7th book to the Dark-Hunter Novels. And it's
the first novel I am reading for the series, because I
couldn't find the other novels in the library. xD

I hope that you like Perfume. It's always been one of my favorite novels, but I've found that I lot of people get turned off by the basic concept and the main character. Be sure to post your thought on it when you're done. =)

Currently, I've been really into paranormal books.
You know, Vampires, Weres, Fae, Demons. I really adore Demons.

The Rachel Morgan series by Kim Harrison is the one I'm currently reading. I'm almost up to her current book, and I'm loving the characters. Can't wait to get to the end, but am enjoying the ride very much. And her Demons are great! Can't really find another series like it, so I'm soaking it all in while I can. Taking the time to savor every moment.

I read for enjoyment, so I'm taking my time.

At this very moment, I have not started a new book. The last few books I read were graphic novels (all four of them) and before that I read The Silver Kissby I forget who. And I think that is the title of the book... Oh dear. It's by the same person who wrote Blood and Chocolate if that rings any bells for anyone.

Next, I think that I will be reading a Sneaky Pie Brown book that I got for my birthday yesterday. Yay for mystery novels! I have read game guides too... But I have no books that I am about to start or am in the middle of.

Ah! Sorry for rambling on like that!

I'm currently working my way through volume one of the Complete Sherlock Holmes. I'm about 2/3 of the way through.

I'm also working on After Dark by Haruki Murakami. I love his books and this is his latest.

I've picked up a book by Haruki Murakami, it's called Kafka on the Shore. It was translated from Japanese.

The story is about a boy who ran away from home to avoid some sort of omen, and an old man who can talk to cats.

It's quite entertaining, although I sometimes find it odd. It starts with a first person perspective, spoken in the present tense, just to let the readers know it's the boy who's talking, and then it becomes third person, in the past tense when it comes to the old man.

Over all I'd say it's ok, nothing spectacular, though I find the book witty in some parts. :)

Blah, I'm not reading anything right now. :( I'm in the middle of The Silmarillion, but am finding it a little difficult to keep the people and places straight, so put it aside for a while. I'm just too busy working and playing here to read anymore :P

Im reading It's Kind of a Funny Story by Ned Vizzini, my friend got it for me for christmas and said it was a good book.

:D I just got done reading the first book of a series called 'Blue Bloods' by Mellisa De la Cruz. It's really quite excellent.

Let's see... I just finished reading The Ropemaker, which was very good. At little slow to get in to, but after about the second chapter I just couldn't put it down. Well, excpet for when I needed to study for COGS. God I'm glad that class is over!!

Anyway, I've just started Dreamland by Sarah Dessen. It's going a bit slow right now, which is a bit disappointing since I can usually get in to her books really fast... Anyway, I'll probably finish that before the end of break and then I'll be reading books for World Cultures. Ugg. I hate college reading.

I'm also reading The Handmaid's Tale for my Lit AP class.

Right now I'm reading Love Only Once. It's a romance book but I need that right now cause my life is no fun right now.
