Well, I'm done now with my Mercedes Lackey binge.
I'm onto Elizabeth Moon now. She's an author who lives somewhere around here in the Austin area.
The book is called : The Deed of Paksenarrion
(and it's 1123 pages long...large sized book, small print. This ought to take me a bit longer)

Let us know how that book is, Jeannesha.
I have that book on my shelf but if it's really good I'll read it sooner rather than later.
EDIT:
Knerd: That's what my mom and uncle keep telling me so I am finally reading it. I wasn't aware there were sequels. I'll go request them online from the library.

Sons and A House Divided are the following two books. They cover the next two generations.
They are pretty hard to find, though. If you really want them, it would probably be best to order them online.

I am currently reading A Memory of Love written by the amazing Beatrice Small.
Yes.. I like romance novels.
Anyways, this book is amazing and I love the lead character Rhonwyn uerch Llywelyn.
She is absolutely wonderful and I love the storyline with everything she suffers through. =3

At the moment, Cate Tiernan's Sweep series. I'm on the sixth book.
Its a really great series, and anyone of the Wiccan religion, or has some interest in it, should read it. Well, they don't have to, but I recommend it. ^^

Oh my God, that's one of my favorite romances!! I love all of Beatrice's O'Malley books, I can't get enough of them, although I thought that Yasaman's story was a bit lacking.

My nose is in the Host by Stephenie Meyer but also Revolutionary Road by Richard Yates. When I'm bored of one I go to the other. I know it seems like a really odd mix but I usually end up reading multiple books at once even outside of school.

I'm in the middle of Max Barry's Jennifer Government, which I hope to finish today. After that, I'll be rereading Voltaire's Candide for class, and trying to get through Orson Scott Card's Ender in Exile before Tuesday.
Not sure how, but it's all good.

I'm getting towards the last pages of Stephen Fry's 'Moab is my Washpot'. I've found it very interesting and have enjoyed reading it immensely so far. Unlike with many other books I've read, I have yet to become fed up with it, for no matter how short a while, and leave it for another book. I've found it a little emotion-tugging at times, but that doesn't detract from my enjoyment and interest in the book, or hasn't yet anyhow. I'd recommend(sp?) it and I apologise for the babble-y-ness of my post.

I'm reading the second book of the Midnighter's series by Scott Westerfeld. However, I'm probably going to stop reading the series for a bit. A friend of mine is reading a book that interests me, and I'm probably going to pick it up at the library when she's finished.

When I get time to start reading again, I have started "The Host" by Stephenie Meyer.
Currently on chapter 5 and really should read it tonight since I don't have work tomorrow! lol

Or if my library doesn't have them I can always request for them to buy them and hold them for me because I'm penniless at the moment.
I finished The Good Earth and it's obvious that Pearl Buck is a very good author and I feel like I have learned quite a bit about Chinese culture but when I read the last page I'm filled with such a feeling of discontent. I wish things could have gone differently but life just doesn't work that way. But I do want to know what happens to the rest of the family.
And to a very different change of pace I'm reading Anne of Windy Poplars by Montgomery now. xD

I decided not to go through my Elizabeth Moon books yet. So I've gone from fantasy to scifi now.
I'm going through my CJ Cherryh books. I decided to focus on the Downbelow/Pell world.
The first book is: "Merchanter's Luck"

The Musician's Daughter by Susanne Dunlap, The Picture of Dorian Grey by Oscar Wilde and the Sight by David Clement Davies all at once. XD The Musician's Daughter and The Picture of Dorian Grey are due at the libraray tommorow, so I want to finish them by then... I like both a fair bit. I'm half way through The Musician's Daughter, which is a very interesting book, and I'm four pages into The Picture of Dorian Grey... it's a very thoughtful novel, already I understand why it is a classic.
The Sight I am reading for the third time, and for a school assignment. XD Along with Sabriel by Garth Nix, it is my favorite book.

I am still reading A Memory of Love by Beatrice Small. I am about halfway done the book and this will be the sixth time I have read the book. I get so engrossed that sometimes I will not even realize that someone is talking to me. Yes I feel bad but the most likely caught me at a good part! *sigh* I shall try to finish it tonight so I can read another tale. I am liking how Rhonwyn takes to the Caliph of Cinnebar ♥ It is quite wonderful. *giggles* I am such a hopeless romantic.

Along with the books I've previously mentioned here, I'm currently reading 'Monstrous Regiment' by Terry Pratchett and '99% Ape - How evolution adds up' edited by Jonathan Silvertown.
Both are interesting, with the former being very amusing, too.
