Frankenstein by Mary Shelley. I'm like 8 or 9 chapters in.

I like it.

I'm reading the Bible (Douay Rheims), and My Way of Life (a layman's rendition of the teachings of the very profound St. Thomas Aquinas). I'm supposed to be reading Kageyama's "Fundamentals of Go" but... as much as I found it hilarious, I seem to have gotten too busy doing other things to continue it for now. That, and my brain has been too fried to play the game properly, so it wouldn't do me any good.

I'm reading The graveyard book by Neil Gaiman. I'm almost finished, it's interresting and a quick read. He's one of my favorite writers. I like his novels better than his short stories though (this isn't a short story). It's about a boy who was raised by ghosts in a graveyard, that's the most I'll say though.

I'm reading "Finity's End", by CJ Cherryh

It's the last book I own from the Pell/Downbelow/Cyteen world (or what they call "The Merchanter's" series. I'm sure that by now there are more books in the series, but I don't own them.

Guess I'm going to have to break down and start poking through the Science Fiction Book Club offerings again. I generally buy a ton of books every year or so, but it's been about 3 years since I've bought any.

I am currently inslaved to the wheel of times series. My brother got me to start them. He is eagerly awaiting the last one, but I am only on Fires of Heaven. So if anyone is a WOT fan let me know, but please don't spoil anything I'm close to the end of this book, and have a hard time putting it down.

I've always meant to read that series, but the books are so thick it never seems like a good time.

Well, I skipped ahead in that book about writing readable essays and found a formula and was all like 'urgh'. Formulas aren't always bad but in this case, just didn't seem like the right move. Readability should be more innate, lol. So I ditched that book. I think I got the best out of it up to that point, anyway.

I picked up an old Angela Thirkell book Before Lunch and am enjoying it so far. I totally forgot about 20th century English humor, glad to finally get around to reading some of it. It's not like it's ahead of its time or something, it's very much stuck in the old days, so it's not as light as it could be, but I shouldn't have the same plot or gimmick complaints I tend to have with my fiction.

I'm reading The Tempest Tales by Walter Mosley.

It's okay. I'm thinking a lot more than I thought I'd have to for such a little book. XD And I just finsished a really awesome book called Does My head Look Big In This? Plus, I've been looking forward to this book for months... so it's not quite living up to what I was expecting.

It's one of those books where I understand it just fine, but think I might enjoy more if I was older.

I'm reading Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card.

I suspect most of you scifi guys know this one. It's an old classic.

The thing that impresses me the most, is that it was written in 1984, yet he's describing computer games, laptops....many things that we take entirely for granted now.

I'm now reading Suck it Up by Brian Meehl. It's an amusing twist on vampires, and I enjoy the ray of creativity it gives off, as opposed to all those cookie cutter vampire sotries.

the movie is based on the book. If it were the other way around the book would have to be awful.
That was one of my favorite Cinderella books, I also used to love Just Ella. You should check that out.

Now I am reading The Search for the Red Dragon by James A. Owen. It's the second book in the Imaginarium Geographica series. I loved the first book so much! I really hope this one lives up to the high standards. I already have the third book on hold. X3

Haha, yes, I adore books. <3 The greast invention of man, the written word is. With language running a close second, and the printing press being third.

I wish I had more time to go back to my favorites. There so many books I want to reread, but I am plauged by the need to get my hands on new book after new book.

Now I'm reading "Children of the Mind" by Orson Scott Card.

It says that it's the conclusion to the Ender saga. As I'm reading it, I realize that there's another book between this one and Speaker of the Dead which I just finished. I actually remember reading it, but I can't find it in my library. It's called Xenocide.

There are also 3 other books that Card wrote as a part of the Ender series, which are kinda parallel books - the fit inbetween and during some of the actual Ender books. I'm going to read those next.

Now I'm reading Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead... She's one of my favorite authors, so I was afriad her teen vampire story would dissapoint me as being not as witty as he usual work, but so far it's very good. <3

Now I'm reading "Ender's Shadow" by Orson Scott Card.

It's one of the parallel books to the Ender Series. It's rather interesting...cuz it's written during the same time frame as Ender's Game, only it's from the viewpoint of one of the other characters - Bean.
