I've got a lot of books that I love but one of the best series, in my opinion, is The Elenium by David Eddings. It's hard to really explain but the it's set in a fantasy world and the main character, Sparhawk, was banished from his home and duty of protecting the princess for ten years. When he comes back, he finds out the princess is encased in crystal and sets out on a journey to find the only item that will set her free. The story itself is much better than I've explained it. :D

My favorite book is The Stand by Stephen King. I think King has some of the best characters ever, really, bar none. His villains are...sweet lord, they're SO EVIL. It's about a huge plague that comes along and wipes out almost all of humanity, and the survivors end up in a big battle of good vs. evil against this guy Randall Flagg. I dunno how to explain really. Parts of it are gross, and I really don't like horror, but I don't really count it as horror. It's more an epic fantasy in my opinion; like the Lord of the Rings if you set it in modern day America. I dunno if that makes any sense, but it's really good!

That is such a tough choice... I love the Foreigner Series. Anything by R.A. Salvatore is wonderful. I also adore The Shannara Series by Terry Brooks and Anne McCaffrey's Tower and Hive Series kicks major butt! It is just too hard for me to choose a single favorite but those are some of my most re-read books. Ooo...and The Redemption of Althalous (not sure I spelled that right, it has been a while since i read it) is really good too.

You read my mind! I love all those series, except I've never read Pendragon or Golden Compass. And, I have to say that while the screaming fans ruin it for me, I actually liked the Twilight series...
But my favorite book, not in a series would have to be 'Blood and Chocolate'. I love werewolves in general, and it gives a good view of werewolf life, living in a pack, not just in human form.

I have a favorite book and then a book I could read a couple thousand times and never find boring....
My favorite book is 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea by Jules Verne and my book to pick me up is Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen.
I'm also currently in love with Christopher Moore's books, especially Fluke.

In Dark Places by Michale prescott, that is dark and psychologically thrilling to me.
Looking deep into the psyche of serial killers and whether any deep finding can be linked into the development of what drives police. Not a child's book! Graphic and adult language all throughout the book.

My favorite book would have to be Jurassic Park (this is the book the movie was based on). Micheal Crichton is one of my favorite authors. Andromeda Strain, Congo, and Disclosure are some other good ones by him. The former two were also made into movies.

A story I found really heartbreaking and very well-written; The Age of Innocence by Edith Wharton.
I really didn't want the story to end, I still wish it had gone on forever, I wouldn't have stopped reading!
